    Yes, one layer of shrink wrap does not protect freight. If you really want to make sure freight gets there undamaged then it needs to be crated.

    Shipper should have banded each blower/pump (I'm guessing) to the pallet. It's easy to see what happened here. Nothing securing them upright to the pallet meant that they all fell over at some point. Being to heavy to lift by hand, they used a forklift to put them back on the pallets, causing the damage you see here. If i was the driver who picked this up, i would have refused it.

      Units were secured to the pallets with lag bolts.
      They were damaged due to the forklift operator mishandling them at their hub.
      Once we stopped using Southeastern they stopped getting damaged.

      @therealctop fair enough. But at the same time, lag bolts on a wooden pallet to secure something that weighs I'm guessing 1500 pounds each really isn't enough either. It works until the first time something happens in transit. I work for Old Dominion, I see these all the time. I might even be the guy who picks these up for you if you get them out of a place in Danville Illinois
