Quick Latch Body Panels - LS Swapped Beetle Build

Easy access to all you broken parts...
I want to install quick latches on the rear of the car so I can mount my Walbro fuel pump out of the way but still have access to it and the filter. The rear apron panel on our 1969 VW Beetle was spot welded in - for the life of me I can't figure out why VW did that. I bought a new replacement panel, fabricated the brackets and installed quick latches to hold the body panel on. While I don't recommend the knock off chinese quick latches for hood pins I've never had a problem with the small ones failing if properly tightened up.

Maybe one day it will! Any day I’m fighting body work is definitely a cussing day. But ironically I’m shooting another sound deadening before and after video right now and it’s going gravy. Although I may have just ruined it haha
