    I tried the sample kit. I’m 60 and the Auteur products aged me 5 years in 4 days. My eyes were so dried, lined, with red rings that looked like chemical burn. My whole face looked so tired. I don’t get the hype and I think these UA-camrs have such a great base that they don’t notice initially. I’ve noticed that a year on from the rave reviews, there are very few influencers still using the line.

    Babor skincare made in Germany makes a beautiful enzyme powder that can be mixed with any cleanser. The RX line has hyaluronic acid & ampoules that deliver the same luxurious experience & efficacy.

    Thank you Claire once again for this review which spotlights some of the lesser known products in a saturated skincare market. Your skin looks great so I don't dispute the positive results you've achieved. However, when I looked at the ingredients in the Auteur enzyme cleanser they included such things as corn starch, tapioca starch and citric acid - probably some of the cheapest ingredients available. The serum also contains polyvinyl alcohol (also known as PVA) so I am guessing that's what provides the smoothing appearance of the skin as it's a type of subtle 'adhesive'. I also noticed that fragrance appeared quite high up the list. I wonder if this product was created to compete with the exorbitant Augustinus Bader skincare line.

    • @thehonestchannel
      @thehonestchannel  2 роки тому

      Thanks for this insight David. Funnily enough it's the enzyme cleanser that I particularly enjoy using. The fragrance is very subtle but it is fragranced.
      They are deliberately setting out to pitch themselves as a designer / aspirational brand, and I'm sure they've looked at the success of Augustinus Bader and seen the market potential.

    To be honest even if I was very whelthy I could never ever spend that amont of money on products. These can do so little compared to other interventions. I think they are created for and sold to people who feel good about spending a lot on skincare.

    I've had good results with The Ordinary Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2%, for pigmentation, which I use on my hands. It took about 3 to 4 weeks before I noticed a change, but definitely worth the wait. I still use it every day and am really impressed.

      And that’s kind of you to comment on my make-up! I am not very skilled at all when it comes to make-up so I keep it cheap and cheerful.
      I’ll maybe do a video on it one day because I’ve found a few good high-street buys: For foundation I am currently mixing Max Factor Face Finity with more expensive Forever by Dior and I find that works well for me while saving a bit of cash too!

    I haven’t tried this brand but wanted to mention that a very slightly more affordable option is Eighth Day skincare which seems to be along the similar lines as this brand and I can attest that it works amazingly good. It’s still very expensive as well but they do offer a 15%off first signup discount and a a rewards program to help counteract a little of the cost. They also have very great customer service. Much better products that Augustinus Bader. Those products to me are horrible.

    If you look up perfluorohexane (basically first ingredient in some of their products for oxygen) the information is VERY alarming. It’s not only toxic to liver, but can cause cancer, endocrine disruption and least problematic…may harm skin more than it helps and may in time accelerate aging. The only product I would use from Auteur is the definitive line serum because it does not contain the Perfluorocomplex

    • @thehonestchannel
      @thehonestchannel  Місяць тому

      This review is a few years old so there is more scrutiny now around this ingredient and PFAS in general. That said lots of things are toxic in high enough doses. PFAS are currently being monitored by the FDA for their impact on health. The small amount of existing research suggests PFAS are unlikely to pose a health risk in small concentrations, but the FDA has not yet reached a conclusion.

I experimented first using the age spots on my hands and they worked then I did them on my face and it worked. Use high doses of vitamin C everyday anyway I started using CurrentBody Red light mask and 2 spots popped up in my face which I will now use the mole pen on them and am not using the red light mask on my face and neck anymore- I do not go in the sun and work in a hospital so it had to be the mask that made them pop up so fast after using it for a couple weeks. $300.00 for just one of their products? I would like to know if I may. How many different products do you use, and how much time do you spend applyiing all these products, also how much money would it take to use these products on a monthly basis? And wouldn't it be cheaper to get a facelift, fat transfer as dr amir karam is always taliking about when you consider how many years and the cost you will be using these products for?

      This is a video covering my own routine ua-cam.com/video/7asSev0nWYs/v-deo.html I did enjoy using the Auteur products, they're well made, but I wouldn't be able to justify the cost long term. There are a number of really great and less expensive products out there on the market.

    Hello Claire, have you tried Cosmelan to lighten your age spots? They do have an in salon treatment regime but I just used the cream alone on a stubborn age spot on my upper cheek and it has completely disappeared 😊

      Hi Linda. I haven’t tried it but I will take a look - thank you! How long did it take to get rid of your age spot with it?

    • @regroovable
      @regroovable 2 роки тому

      @@thehonestchannel it started to fade after about 2 weeks of daily application just to the actual spot which was completely gone in 6 weeks.
      On a side note I purchased Adipeau after watching your interview with Ivan. Their customer service was amazing (they even gifted me a second bottle)❤️
      I have high hopes for my 64 yo just starting to sag skin 😅

      @@regroovable Thanks for the Cosmelan tip - I will try it.
      Really glad you’ve had a good experience with Adipeau. I think they are keen for people to use the cream for more than a few weeks because it can take 8 minimum to see any result and in their trial they were measuring changes from 3 months.
      I would make sure not to use a moisturizer under the cream and to pat it on to affected areas quite generously to leave a layer on top of your skin to sink in. Do let me know how you get on.

    Hi. I don’t think it’s objective review if you are using other product that the ones to be reviewed. Not even if you didn’t stop using all kind of products and treatments for a period of time, before reviewing just the one in question ❤
    Oh! It would be also great if you include review of scientifical articles of the products you are trying. Then it would be somehow more accurate ✌️

      There was no overlap. I only used these products for a six-week period. Sorry if that’s not clear in the video.

      I should have made clear that I continue to use Auteur only on my t zone where I don’t use Adipeau. Adipeau is a targeted fat restoration cream so I’m only using it in selected areas. There is no overlap of product but I didn’t say that in this video so apologies for that.

    Absolutely throwing money in the garbage, this line doesn’t do anything actually it’s very irritating because would not mix with any other products. Everything rolls off from your face, I never fell, I threw $800 in the garbage until I bought the line serum and density cream actually I am angry.

      Sorry to hear you were so disappointed with these products. I think in these circumstances it's always worth emailing the company to share your experience. Some may refund or at least offer some kind of goodwill gesture.
