The Solow shortened drive shafts have been a long time in development and production. We wanted to do long term tests before we brought them to market. At the time of this we only offer shortened drive shafts for some T5.1, and all T6 and T6.1, 5 speed models. The others will come in time, but down to the cost in development, we couldn't do them all at once. Next up is the T6 and T6.1 150 DSG models. We have now been testing these for a while and really pleased with the results. Drive shaft judder GONE!!
These shafts aren't only just to stop judder, they are also a precautionary measure to protect your gear box when going really low. We're talking Solow LOW coilovers and AiR suspension mainly.
These Solow shortened drive shafts are OEM quality with a 2 year warranty.
These are factory made shorter and to the highest quality. Not budget shafts just cut down. These are custom made to our dimensions.
Please check the part numbers on your existing drive shafts before ordering. If we don't currently offer shafts for your vehicle, please comment below, which engine and gearbox you have. This will help us know which models to focus on next.
Please note, we can not guarantee these will fix your issue. Your judder could be caused by something else. Having said that, 90% off the time, the judder sensation in low low vans, comes from the drive shafts.

T5.1 114bhp mapped to 180bhp, running very low on 20 deep dish rims had my wheel alinement done.
I get it when I put my foot down really vibrates hard in cabin and any time up to a full lock it’s horrendous judder.
I will be purchasing one next week.

Hi mate. It’s a 2006 2.5 6 speed t30. Vw t5. LWB
2013 t5.1 2.0 manual 6 speed please! It’s the 140bhp model sat on solow air, I like to drive low but the judder is horrendous 😂
Wish these were out a few years back, mine had this really bad. Left turn and under power, had to get a subframe raise in the end. Like others you've mentioned mine was T6, 5 speed 102 ( 2019 )
@@Adam_H_Official yeah, ideally people would like to avoid that work as it's a large and permanent modification. If some cases, the sub frame raise isn't enough to fix it totally so people add these too.
@@THQAutomotive 100% , even with a subframe I couldnt go low low, I'm on air now. Do you think these would actually make it drive better still even with a sub frame raise ?
@@Adam_H_Official Yes, we did sub frame raise on the flatbed and it wasn't enough. Shortened shafts fixed it totally

Hi lads iv got a t5 just had so low suspension on by lowdown transporters and now on way to pick it up today but they couldn’t get the short drive shaft so decided to get a full new one on but so still can’t get the short one for t5 and do you know when the short drive is available. Cheers
Hi George, Good choice with the solow suspension! What model is your transporter? We only have the 5 speed shafts available at the minute but have developed them for other models. We are just waiting to see which model is the most demanded next and then we will put those into production.
Hi mate, wow great drive back home on air solow suspension, camper drives very smooth no knocks or shake’s. Chris from lowdown transporters did great job on it, I made right choice to get it done, spot on and looks fab. Next job upgrade brakes system and new front winged back seats, iv got the new 20’ navis gp7 steels other day from sprayed ltd. Just need put them on now but the solow air suspension is just fab. 👌

We have tested these and they work great. We had 2 samples sets. If demand is high, we will make them too.
The 6 speed manual wasn't mentioned, not taken mine even lower yet but do they not suffer?

No actually if you are getting judder, shorter should solve it. It's to do with the angles in the other direction.
@ might have to look into this rather than doing CVs every year 😂
Is it never heared of on the 6 speed ? Mine is a 5.1 6 speed 140. It funnily enough went in for new front springs on the coilovers at a garage and came out with now a massive judder when steering left (worse at speed). Its been back into several aliignment places, and they say they can't find the problem.
How low is it?
@THQAutomotive not sure the exact drop but it's running 275/35/20s with no arch gap between lip and top of tyre. Not even a feather...
@@neilgarner2366 sounds fairly low. Do you know what suspension it is? It could well be drive shafts.

@@neilgarner2366 they're an ok budget coilover for looks. Decent quality coilovers would transform your ride quality and handling though.
My t6 with dsg box shudders alot under load reversing
