I could not be happier for Seán! Seriously, if he had stuck to his more rigorous upload schedule, he never would’ve had time to develop a hobby that he, not only is improving with every figurine, is genuinely enjoying! And, yes. We also wouldn’t have I.R.I.S. and the ALTRVERSE if Seán had kept the pace that threatened to burn him out completely back in 2017. honestly i love that sean is straight up with "i don't play warhammer, i just think the figures are cool". there have been many times ive wanted to buy something from a "fandom" im not apart of but felt almost rude because i didn't know what it was. also love this video, it's very cool and sean is really good at painting these! my friend does them too so it takes a lot of time, patience, and effort. super impressive! also edit: i love the malenia shirt, it looks dope
Never feel gatekept by the lore or the game rules, or even the hobby itself. If you love painting, buy minis and paint! There are loads of fantastic pre-built minis. If you just like building the models (and kit-bashing them) and never paint them, that’s great too!
Same, I saw some figures I wanted to try to paint, but bc I don't play the game and have never tried it, I felt weird to get them. This was years ago so those figures might not exist anymore.
@@csctnfire Hell, in most fandoms of fantasy RPGs, they're actually pretty open-minded about playing with homebrew rules (basically your own custom rule set) as long as it's a fair and interesting rule set.

@@MashellAponi Play one page rules. It's a far better game, you can use 40k minis but you are allowed to 3D print armies in comp too, they also have paper minis you can print to play with.
There's an extra part of it, the actual tabletop wargame. Granted, most of the people who play also paint and build (though some just buy second hand or commission a builder/painter), but plenty of people paint and know the lore but don't play.
I think that art, and specially painting, is one of the best ways to meditate. It's humbling, it's challenging, it requires delicacy and attention and our brain likes these things (dare I say it NEEDS them). There's something about crafting in general that I find very gracious. And, also, analysing and critiquing ones own abilities is also very important. Being able to acknowledge both failures and wins. I'm very happy for you, Sean. Genuinely.
Thank you for sharing your collection!! I love you sharing your journey and giving a honest review of your process. Clearly you enjoy the hobby and are proud of your work. You inspire me to get to it and stop procrastinating out of fear of the very thing I want to do. (I know it’s kinda backwards or whatever.) very nice to see a different side of you as well. I like seeing this side. Happy Painting Sean!!!🎨
i've been loving seeing so many youtubers picking up creative hobbies lately, whether it's drawing or building figurines. it's been so great to see how many folks are learning and having fun with art! these figures look sick as hell!!
Some of my favorite content of yours is just watching you discuss your interests. Most of the time I put on a let’s play it’s just to hear u talk, especially the latest from soft series because I like hearing you talk about the games and your opinion on them as an art form. Personally I feel like this sort of stuff definitely has a place on the main channel, but that’s just me
You can ALWAYS learn something from a tutorial even if you are just making an exact copy! Maybe you didn't notice it but you certainly learned some techniques or different ways to layer the paint that you later used in the models you did from scratch by yourself. A good place to keep an eye out for unique STL's and already printed Mini Models would be kickstarter! A lot of people publish their own additions for different TTRPG systems and go through kickstarter for funding. Many of them have STL's and the minis as part of the rewards and you can get just those if you aren't interested in the game itself! You could get just one specific mini from a campaign or a whole bundle of the bosses/minions. The downside would be is you wouldn't get them anytime soon but you'd have another source of minis that might interest you and be helping someone trying to publish something they created.
Omggg imagine a collab with jazza because he also loves miniature painting 😲 I'm super proud of jack for finding art as a hobby, it's very relaxing and for me it distracts me from the world when I need it. Can't wait what else our little jack gets up to. Love you stay safe ❤
Jack these are awesome!!!! My personal favorites gotta be the Goddess of Rot and the Gaping Dragon… Obsessed with how unique and intricate those designs are. I think the pain that went Malenia was well-worthy it. (shout-out to the Etsy printers for getting those later figures made!!) But wow the paint really brings it all to life. I love that you don’t stick too close to the book and just go off and do what feels right!! It should be a fun and enjoyable experience for YOU! These are seriously so so impressive for a hobby you just picked up on a whim. Painting is an amazing skill to have. I agree, I think that if you really want to try something new, you totally have the drive to succeed in it. You can do anything you want and it’s awesome seeing you take time for yourself. Cant wait to see more figures!! If this is where you’re at now, it’s only going to get way better!!!
for anyone wanting to get into figure painting for cheaper. consider going to the thrift store and picking up old toys and dolls. Pick up some .99 cent acrylic paints that you can thin with water for painting and a can of $10 matte sealing spray. its a great way to test techniques on vinyl and customize your own toys. Barbies, MLP, and funkos are great for this and very low start up cost. if anyone needs any pointers just hollar. painting figures and kitbashing to make your own is a very satisfying hobby and we need all the comforts we can get these days.
same here, I don't care for painting, model building or anything like that but I love seeing the end result. And oh boy what a result. to paint all those small details must require surgical precision 👏👏👏
Dude your painting is so good. I've been painting minis for 20+ years and I'm always over critical of my work. It's a constant learning experience. You've taken your first steps into the hobby and by experimenting with different models, paints and techniques, you have developed your skills. Your work is awesome! As someone who doesn’t have the motivation to do .. much of anything .. it is so interesting and comforting to hear someone talk in such detail about their interests!
Also as a person who has no incentive to do anything, it’s interesting and nice seeing people talk about their hobbies and their enjoyment of those hobbies as I’ll probably never really experience it myself. Seeing Sean and Evelyn do more creative stuff outside of their normal content is very fun to watch.

15:10 Archaon Everchosen, such a dope mini. One of my favorites I’ve painted, and Jack’s version looks awesome. Love to see this stuff, makes me want to get back into mini painting
@@feralmagick7177 When it comes to "painting stuff correctly", the only thing that irks Warhammer collectors is people not thinning their paints and glopping on the layers to warp the model details. There's some horrendous examples online you can find that explain what I mean. Just search "Thin your paints" and you'll be assailed by the images of bad paint jobs. Aside from that, there's no real way to "paint correctly". You can make whatever you want on the minis themselves and no one will really judge you for it. Sometimes you'll find people curious to know why you did a certain color combo, and they'll ask how you did it so they can use it for one of their minis in the future.
I think these are things that my late dad would've appreciated, for the detail on them! My dad actually would build model airplanes, but he would buy the most difficult skill level ones, and add fine details to the paint job, and to the cockpit that weren't original to the orginal model, cause he liked the challenge of it. To see the amount of work and detail that you added, i would like to think that he would've appreciated these as well! I don't know anything about the lore or anything either, or anything about painting, or scale modeling, but the details and the work that goes into it always fascinates me! Great job on those! They look awesome! ❤
Those models are great Jack! I haven’t tried model painting yet but I’ve been considering it. I paint on canvas with acrylic paints and I enjoy model building. I’ve just started doing these really intricate mini houses where you build every element, it’s time consuming and fiddly but I’m really enjoying it! Great to see you explore your art interest!
Hey man, I've been painting for... 10 years I think. Colours are hard and it takes some time to get how layering affects your colours, how to choose shadows, how to choose highlights, etc. I'd say - don't worry about it! It'll come in time and to be honest, your work looks absolutely stunning mate! Kudos for picking up a great hobby - next, falling down the rabbit hole of diorama making xD
Something about seeing all of the UA-camrs I grew up watching talking about and showing their hobbies feels so nice! Always inspires me to try out things I've always been scared I'll be bad at!
My husband demos a model based tabletop game called "infinity" at gen con indy. and I met the creator of their fantasy based game War crow, Hoopoe, who is a woman who really advocates for women in these sort of games and model painting spaces. My husband has loved painting and playing this game way more than warhammer. And getting to meet and photograph the new models with the creator there was awesome
You should low key get acrylic paints + glow paint and get a wall specifically formed to showcase the glow in the dark aspect of your figures!! That would be so cool to see and I think interesting as a challenge for you :3 have a blast!!

It's so cool that you're doing figurine/miniature painting. I've been really wanting to delve into this with DnD. Partially because I wanted to actually use them, but also just because there's so many awesome creatures to try out. I figured it would be something creative I could do outside of just 2D art which I've kind of become burnt out on. Really inspiring to see this and I hope you share more with us in the future! Also wanted to point out that I could REALLY see the improvement on the gradients and blending between the prior miniature's flames and the flames on the second figurine's flames (on his sword, I already forgot the name of the dude sorry lol).
Those are great! And its totally not weird to just want to paint, Warhammer figs look really cool and they are a great fun thing to work on when you want to paint cool minis as a hobby. If you want a good LONG project, get your hands on a Tau Manta. Its about 3 feet wide, has a ton of internal bits and bobs and looks amazing when you paint them up.

But anyway thank you keep up making your great content and I wish the best for your mental and physical health.
It's been a minute since I've painted minis, but I only recently started also. I'm very much in the "I just wanna paint this because it looks cool" and don't have a lotta drive for painting an actual army (I started with an Age of Sigmar Slaves to Darkness box, but couldn't finish them all). I got some pretty neat prints off of people selling on Etsy because I don't have a 3D printer myself, but it's been fun painting monsters and such instead. I really appreciate listening to you positively self-talk about your progress and found it very inspiring! I think your models turned out fucking cool, thank you so much for sharing!
This really feels like the weird neighbor kids invitees you over to show you his collection. And I'm all here for it. On the 12:00 mark I can just add, as an artist that draws. I can relate, yeah my past pieces are ass but I am happy about those pieces and I love the drawings, even though my skills has improved since. It's all about the moment you made them and you felt proud and good about yourself for creating that masterpiece, even now I love looking back at my old art and I can see the journey that got me to where I am today. It's a great feeling, I'm so happy you shared your painting interest with us! I know nothing about painting figurines and stuff so everything you showed was impressive!

I’ve got Issues 0 and 1 and I am absolutely loving what Seán, Sophie (TurquoiseMagpie), Bad Egg and everyone involved is doing with the Ego Content that Seán’s (previously undiagnosed) ADHD and General Anxiety stopped him from pursuing!
But more importantly than what _we_ are getting out of this, is what _Seán himself_ is getting out of this!
💚🤗🤗💚
Now knowing he's adhd too explains why I vibe so much with him (I'm AuDHD, and I vibe just as much with Mark for the same reason. Us NDs always seem to magnetize 😅)
@@mellennia9 I’m glad to hear that something which you and Seán have both struggled with creates a sense of solidarity for you.
With over 30 Million Subscribers on his main Channel, it’s impossible for Seán to identify with each and every one of us individually. But I strongly believe he still wishes to keep this a safe space for our Beautiful Community.
💚🤗🤗💚
@@Lesley_RedRhody oh I have zero doubts about that! And I'm all the more glad for it
honestly i love that sean is straight up with "i don't play warhammer, i just think the figures are cool". there have been many times ive wanted to buy something from a "fandom" im not apart of but felt almost rude because i didn't know what it was.
also love this video, it's very cool and sean is really good at painting these! my friend does them too so it takes a lot of time, patience, and effort. super impressive!
also edit: i love the malenia shirt, it looks dope
Never feel gatekept by the lore or the game rules, or even the hobby itself. If you love painting, buy minis and paint! There are loads of fantastic pre-built minis. If you just like building the models (and kit-bashing them) and never paint them, that’s great too!
Same, I saw some figures I wanted to try to paint, but bc I don't play the game and have never tried it, I felt weird to get them. This was years ago so those figures might not exist anymore.
I play but honestly, if you just want to collect and paint them then go for it! Don't let people gatekeep your happiness.
I don't play DND/Warhammer but I've started doing miniatures as well :) I like building the scape for others to play
@@csctnfire Hell, in most fandoms of fantasy RPGs, they're actually pretty open-minded about playing with homebrew rules (basically your own custom rule set) as long as it's a fair and interesting rule set.
Dude I swear to god everyday you become better and better! I got into warhammer in 2019 and it’s honestly like my whole life now hahah it’s so awesome to see one of my childhood heroes picking up the same hobby, you’re absolutely killing it man!!
jack has immediately come out as a fucking model master 11:39 he’s so good he didn’t even realise he put something awesome on the model
There are now three types of Warhammer Fans:
“I paint and build and kitbash while knowing the lore”
“I know most the lore, but I’m too poor for the guys”
“I like painting and Building lil guys, but I dunno the lore”
Im the middle. 😂
@@MashellAponi Play one page rules. It's a far better game, you can use 40k minis but you are allowed to 3D print armies in comp too, they also have paper minis you can print to play with.
im the last one, but with gundams instead
There's also the "I own three armies and have painted two models"
There's an extra part of it, the actual tabletop wargame. Granted, most of the people who play also paint and build (though some just buy second hand or commission a builder/painter), but plenty of people paint and know the lore but don't play.
HE'S CREATING AN ARMY!!
And soon Bro Army VS Boss Army!!!! Epic Battle Coming Up!!!!!
@@xrickardoxgamer3282 It'll definitely get real if he decides to build a diorama of a battlefield for some of these figures.
Happy Painting Sean!!!🎨
oooh neat. miniatures. can't wait until jack finds the doll customizing community and goes down THAT rabbit hole.
oooooh im ready. Next spedicey video: Monster high generation 1, 2 & 3 doll review

i've been loving seeing so many youtubers picking up creative hobbies lately, whether it's drawing or building figurines. it's been so great to see how many folks are learning and having fun with art! these figures look sick as hell!!
I would totally watch Sean streaming while colouring all these figures!
Same.

I love you jack love to see it! ❤
Soon to be the million view question 😮
I love finding out another youtuber is a 40k enjoyer
That's awesome! I watch a ton of your stuff and never knew you were into 40k.
I love finding another UA-camr I watch in comment sections of UA-camrs I watch 🔥
Crocheting is my art therapy. I totally agree Sean that it is so helpful to anxiety to have a hands-on hobby!
Yes all the way ❤
for anyone wanting to get into figure painting for cheaper. consider going to the thrift store and picking up old toys and dolls.
I love seeing the art side of Jack! Still binge watch old video playlists when I do my arts!
Came for Jack, stayed for Warhammer, then blown away.
same here, I don't care for painting, model building or anything like that but I love seeing the end result.
I can't wait to hear that you've bought a 40k titan 🤣 I hope you keep enjoying the journey and please keep posting your stuff.
Ikrr, and he mentions it has been a year and a half 😭
Great progress my lorddd
Oh my goodness I love these!! They're really amazing, and I especially LOVE the pyramid head one! But they're all so detailed and they look fantastic!! I was wondering why you had been posting less, worried you maybe were going through something, but I'm so glad you were spending your time with your love for something as awesome as this!! Spend as much time as you like doing it, the videos can wait!! Regardless I'm so happy that this seems to make you very happy!!🫶🏻😄
4:59 Holy shit, Séan! A comic series, a podcast, video games and a fucking T.V. show! That's both awesome, and absolutely fucking insane! Can't wait!

I love seeing all of the things you love to do! Things like this deserve much more recognition
I think it'd be cool to see a few speedpaints of you making some small figures 🥰💗
As an artist myself, I absolutely love seeing a more artistic side to Sean! It's so cool hearing about the process and mindset that he has when painting these figures.
@@Jokin_Jake and not to mention Holly crap he has such an artistic side to him too!! It's incredible to see
As someone who doesn’t have the motivation to do .. much of anything .. it is so interesting and comforting to hear someone talk in such detail about their interests!
Also as a person who has no incentive to do anything, it’s interesting and nice seeing people talk about their hobbies and their enjoyment of those hobbies as I’ll probably never really experience it myself. Seeing Sean and Evelyn do more creative stuff outside of their normal content is very fun to watch.
hey, i just wanted to say that i believe in you! :)
As a warhammer veteran. This brought such a massive smile to my face. Would love to see more. Thanks!
This video is a hype up for my son that builds and paints stuff and loves this channel. Even on its way out is providing inspiration to the people that will make bigger and better use of UA-cam. Cheers and thank you

Wanted a showcase vid like this for SO long!!! Let's go Instagramers!!
Growing up watching jack and now being a warhammer enthusiast. Watching jack talk about the model painting process and seeing his warhammer models is just so cool. They all look amazing by the way
As a print nerd the covers to those comics had me in awe. Love unique looks colors and textures in print holy shit
My daughter walked in when you were showing pyramid head and said “WOAH! That’s really good painting!”
I could watch people talk about their interests and hobbies all day, absolutely love this content.
You should totally paint a model of Trico! His colors, and textures are right up your alley, I think you'd have fun with it!
100% Trico would be so beautiful!
The gunpla community awaits your arrival Jack.
15:10 Archaon Everchosen, such a dope mini. One of my favorites I’ve painted, and Jack’s version looks awesome. Love to see this stuff, makes me want to get back into mini painting
It's actually kinda refreshing to see someone paint Warhammer without knowing any of the lore or anything 😅 feels more relaxed to watch
I feel like Warhammer people are the kind of people who would freak out when you don't paint stuff correctly
Great to see you explore your art interest!
this is actually amazing I have been doing warhammer for 10 years and its epic to see how cool your work is. Truly a master
This genuinely makes me want to get back into art. The self positivity in the learning and process makes me want to learn new things
You should low key get acrylic paints + glow paint and get a wall specifically formed to showcase the glow in the dark aspect of your figures!! That would be so cool to see and I think interesting as a challenge for you :3 have a blast!!
I absolutely love show-and-tell videos! Those paints are INCREDIBLE. Your Pyramid Head and Melania are so impressive
I won't lie, I'd love to see more videos like this. Jack just showing off some cool stuff he's made or collected for a while, it's a really calming side to him

2:09 honestly Warhammer community is super supportive with people just wanting to paint figures, I've seen some awesome paintings on Warhammer from some creators and they claim that they don't play Warhammer just to paint figures. This is so cool!!
I love this, you did such an amazing job on them 😮
No Sean, don't give me flashbacks with that title...
This is incredibly wholesome. I love this side of you, and it's awesome you are into Warhammer!
