Nice work on the video. I can see the work and details that are necessary if you want a good working mold that will produce a quality product. Anyone that has researched mold making will understand why you did what you showed and will be able to figure out the rest. Thanks!
This wordless workshop approach leaves me guessing about such key information as of what material the mold is made. Is that plaster-of-Paris or hydrocal or what?
I have a really great idea for a mug. It actually came from a dream and it is hilarious! But I have no artistic skills. What should I do? How can I present my idea to someone for consideration?
Find someone who’s good at drawing from descriptions. Or find reference photos online that have elements of your idea or are similar but different, then you can tell them the differences.
Went to your Instructable site, there was nothing there but a brief paragraph on what you are making and then, no actual instructable. I went there because you don't mention anything in your video on what you are using and why. Which is the point of a tutorial video.
With the detail on this model you need a four piece mold so that you do not get undercuts that will tear away when you remove your mold and destroy your final product.
Perhaps a modicum of narration. I see by many of the questions below that a narration would be apa huge benefit. Don't bother responding to this as I will not be viewing anymore videos put out by this group.
What a beautiful mold! it´s just perfect!

Just what i needed to see; words not necessary thanks for sharing
1. Good tutorial. Thank you.
2. Are those batman jammies?
3. This was some compelling cinematography. Well done.
Thank you!
What was that you brushed onto the mold at 2:34?
muy buen trabajo, muchísimas gracias por la enseñanza.
very beautiful and clean work. What is the name of that clay used? and that liquid you put on with the brush?
What is the paste you use to help the plaster not stick to the wood or another piece of plaster?
+Alexandra Gélinas whipped soap with oil
thanks!
You can also buy a releasing agent called "Mold Soap" if you don't wanna fuss with making your own. Works great.
Thanks!
What type of drill bit are you using to create the registration marks?
This is the best video I've ever seen on youtube
Does this need to be pottery plaster? The plaster of paris mold didn’t work and got stuck

Steve Jeffryes it's a slip mould so you use a product called Pottery plaster. You can also use "casting plaster". They are both gypsum products

Some explanations or descriptions would be so much more helpful.
So wonderful, thank you!
Great patience
Awesome!
InCredible .... THANK YOU
Is it plaster of paris?
Do you make molds for a living? I want a mold made of a 6'' tall statue and want to find someone willing to make one..
Qué producto aplicó a la madera?
great job...
Thank you great video.!!!!
wow!!
very work.
I like the absence of backround music. Background music usually ruins a vid.
especially when its literally the same song in every satisfying vid

Wouldn't two pieces be much easier?
With the detail on this model you need a four piece mold so that you do not get undercuts that will tear away when you remove your mold and destroy your final product.
The “leaves/scales” would interlock with the mold at that extreme angle.
nice... i will use your technique then...
sorry ! we need information ,no speak no Components of the mixture...
read the description on the bag of the plaster you buy my dude

I do not like demonstrations with no explanation of what is being done and what materials are being used.
It's plaster and clay. There.
😭
I too liked the absence of backround music and the natural sounds very Zen
That words gets used for all the wrong things….
напильником вы явно погорячились, есть же рашпиль
I hope you didn't get paid by the hour... my god. so much wasted time
That plaster lol. too much plaster
