@@jameshollyoak8230 his death on Christmas was absolutely gut wrenching. Nearly as bad as Freddie’s death on American Thanksgiving. And who could forget Prince riding his own elevator to heaven. He wasn’t gonna let that elevator bring him down 😉a rough decade IMO.
Last Christmas made me a lifelong Wham! and George Michael fan. There are no words to describe what he could do with his voice, words and notes. And I love this love letter from his dearest friends who gave him the foundation he needed. Ty Andy, Shirlie and Pepsi. ❤
40yrs it's like yesterday !! I was 18 when I first heart last Christmas I thought It was magical then and still do !! These guys have aged well sad george is not hear to enjoy it with them but I'm sure hes around!! I love wham brilliant group!! ❤🙏❤🙏❤🙏❤🙏❤🙏❤
I've watched a lot of inter iews this year with Andrew, Pepsi & Shirlie this is by far the best. The interviewer doesn't interrupt & her questions light the touchpaper for the answers. They all seem so relaxed & I've heard thi gs I've not heard in other interviews 👏
I miss George's mesmerizing storytelling - whether writing timeless intricate beautiful songs, singing them, etc - He could tell stories with so much wit and humor (when he was comfortable with the interviewer) - I actually never even noticed anyone else when George was around - (maybe not a nice thing to say but, so very true) My eyes and ears were always on him - his charisma, smarts were like a magnet for me. I so miss him in every respect ❤
Wham! Last Christmas on Netflix was excellent. They all remained friends with Each other and with George til his death. I remember Wham first come on the scene! They shot to stardom instantly with Whitney, Prince, MJ and Madonna.. So sad George Michael left this earth too early
If Wham! made George Michael, then so did Andrew Ridgeley. If it takes a village to raise a child, then it takes more than one to develop talent. And like a true selfless friend, Andrew knew his limitations to know when to step back to let George step forward on his own. Not only was that the professional thing to do, but it was an act that we would be so lucky to have in a friend so willing to do. We are all blessed to have them both!
Wake me up before you go go , when I fell in love Wham music , video inspired me to wear loud pink sweatshirt I was in middle school in the 80’s love last Christmas 🎄
I was born in 1987. but Wham and especially the song Last Christmas takes me back to a time that I actually don't know... as an 8 year old boy I put on this song while decorating the Christmas tree. and I still do that now
Its no secret. George was the reason for Whams success. all due respect to the other 3 but theyre clearly not the talent. George was writing all time classic hits in his teen years. He had that voice. he had those looks. He had it all.
@@lexkanyima2195 I wouldnt say that because George had his solo career. I think wham was more about his friendships & I feel Andrew was very much a part of whams identity & personality. He brought George out of his shell. So he was crucial to whams whole vibe & to Georges blossoming confidence. he just wasnt the musical talent at the core. But George needed him. He was the hype guy.
@@farshid71 well they were very much part of wham & knew george better than anybody. so I dont have any problem with them doing these interviews. its not like you get paid much if anything. I think they just enjoy talking about george & their younger days. Like most do.
Again, lovely ladies, but they are talking about Wham as if they were really there to have an important input (performing, dancing) while they were riding on George's talent and creativity. George detached the compartment and that was it for them, Im sorry.
I’ve never seen @andrewjohnridgeley so at ease. This US gal appreciates a perfect interview and interviewer. Thank you! Happy Christmas from across the pond! ❄️🩵❄️
Last Christmas is perfection, it has sentiment, melancholy, and heart
You say it perfect 👌

IT HAS TO BE NO. 1 IN UK THIS CHRISTMAS 2024!! PLEASE!!

Who would name their daughter Pepsi… Coca Cola? 😂

Who wouldn't love Last Christmas..it's a lovely song.

Merry Christmas guys. How lovely to see you together! Friendship endures! I was 18 in 1982 so the 80s moulded my life! ❤
I like the way the interviewer interviews Andrew, shirley and pepsi. She does it in a non-aggressive, poised way.
Congratulations on an interview that goes beyond the obvious. 'We were a collective; we were old friends.' That's what has made Wham so special.

I was 11, my first year at secondary school , had my first crush and this song came out and i remember saying " this is the best xmas song ever!|"

Including loyalty. George gave Andrew a lot of credit for preparing him and always being his friend.

Shirlie and Andrew were supposed to get married 😅
Uh it’s not a WHAM! interview hello
