He knows whether you paid your taxes on time
Love to hear that you donate the feathers to indigenous communities! That’s awesome.
Indigenous people, iirc, outside of the govt, are the only people legally allowed to have bald eagle feathers.
This is the case as well I believe for many/most raptor bird feathers and many endangered and protected species.
So, if you're collecting feathers you find in your yard or in walks in parks, you could be breaking the law and holding contraband.
@@_S0me__0ne I do like to live dangerously.
@@KatsKovers9988 I suspect for most people, the government, specifically the police, will never know.
However, if you're doing something with the feathers or it becomes public knowledge, the police might go poking around.
Or, if you're up to something completely unrelated and get in trouble with the law and they go snooping around and discover your feathers I wouldn't be surprised if they'd tack on additional charges. It seems police like to pile on as many charges as they can, in the hopes something sticks, and to scare the crap out of people.
So much for hating losers.
They were not indigenous. They migrated from Asia. Try again.

@@bloodofchristjesuscoversme1878 That's a female eagle? My bad .
That's the thing about birds like eagles, hawks, vultures, and condors: they know they're awesome. All they have to do is stand there and people will stare in awe.
I’ve never seen a more patriotic female woman in my life
Not sure if he knows it or not.
It's a small thing, but I really like hearing that native communities receive eagle feathers that you guys send out alongside them being given to wildlife centers for educational purposes. The importance of them to many indigenous groups is often forgotten about by a lot of people, so it's always great to hear native communities being acknowledged 💙
And Spirit is such a beautiful bird! Eagles are so majestic, and seeing them being treated with respect and kindness is always good to see
I know right! I agree
oh shoot sorry if my comment appeared 2 times I thought i accidently hit cancel since it didn't appear for me-
It's a big thing when you consider Bald Eagles are protected yet their feathers are sacred. I'd be honored to receive one
@@wawashake2763i agree and this way they don't have to go hunt or kill things as much if you are given certain ones. i know it doesn't appy to deer etc bc they use all parts of an animal. im not sure how they got eagle feathers in the past. whether hunting or just getting them off the ground.
@@mellissamercado7904all birds molt at some point in the year , so you could definitely get them off the ground freely without needing to kill one, or finding a dead eagle potentially if they died of natural causes and nothing came to eat them. (Be careful of disease tho.) With crows it's similar, as they molt between June and September usually, and peak molt is like July and August, when crow feathers are easy to find.

One of the most wholesome things about the United States is that Bald Eagle feathers are meticulously collected and donated to native American tribes, as they carry great significance for them.

Hello! We use them for headdresses, traditional dance garments, smudging fans, and other things! Fun fact, in my tribe (Hidatsa), only men and elderly women are allowed to touch eagle feathers. This is because they are sacred and it’s is believed if a girl touches them, their hands will turn into eagle talons!
🫶🏼
Hands turning into eagle talons actually sounds badass and if they’re sharp enough to cut through steel that’d be even cooler.
I've heard somewhere along the way that if we come across eagle feathers, we are not supposed to touch them, but what are you supposed to do? I wouldn't just want to leave them.
