    I just installed the short reset system and flat trigger. I didn’t think I was going to get that trigger return spring back in without those special pliers from HK. They don’t ship to Canada. 😩 Took me several tries but managed to do it. The new trigger and shorter reset are AWESOME!! It is night and day compared to the OEM trigger and reset. Thanks for the videos, couldn’t have done it without your help. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

    This would be a little better if you showed the orientation of each part before reassembling. The reset is 1000% better after installing.

    Ok. So, just got mine and put it in. Keith makes this look real easy but it took me about an hour to break mine apart and put it together and ended up running the video at 50% speed. Once I got it together though- this weapon already was amazing but now it is even more so. Thank you all for making a great piece of kit for the H&K.

      Glad you got it all put together. The first time can be a challenge, learning the parts, their names, and oreintation. I know the video isn't the best with lighting and sound. Next time you have to take this gun apart will be much easier! Thank you for supporting us!

    The p30SK has an extra step for removing the firing pin. There is a small roll pin that needs to be punched with a small punch next to the loaded chamber indicator. This removes a safety pin that the p30 does not have.

  • @seaswirl79

    Installed 12/14/23 on P30sk no safety. The trigger portion was easy but the slide portion wasn't so easy as after the roll pin was removed, the firing pin would not slide out nor would the block drop out easily. I finally got the block out and put the spring in and reassembled it. I fired two test shots in my downstairs range and all worked fine.

    Installed on a P30L with de-cocker. No issue at all. No springs to worry about like with the LEM apparently. All I can say is "That was easy".

    If you followed this video and you're wondering why you no longer have single action, it's because he forgot to install the extended (sear roll pin that comes with the kit) into the decocking lever. If you don't do this, you won't have SA anymore. Also, if you're struggling to install the cylindrical pin back into the bearing for the hammer spring, DECOCK the gun first. Pushing that bearing with a rubber puck makes it a lot easier (still the trickiest part of all this IMO).

    • @grayguns
      @grayguns  Місяць тому +1

      Thank you for your comment. I go over this step at 1:50. It is very important to replace that sear roll pin for a few reasons, reliable single action being the top.

    Quick question, I have the DA/SA variant no safety. The install wasn't bad but all of my components hammer sear etc were coated in a silver grease almost, it was very liquidy and had a mettallic sheen it's a newer gun maybe 750 round through it. My question is was it OK to wipe that off the components? All I did was add a super light coat of hoppes oil over them before reassembly.

    • @grayguns
      @grayguns  2 місяці тому +1

      It sounds like you had factory grease still inside the gun. HK ships their guns with grease coating the internals. We recommend grease over oil as it has more staying power and won't wick off the components nearly as quickly.

      Yes, the install is identical to the P2000/P2000sk. The only small difference is the Trigger return spring, The spring leg sits on the oppiste side of the trigger/frame, install is the same however.

    • @grayguns
      @grayguns  Рік тому +2

      The firing pin block spring is one of three springs that determine the pull weight. Replacing the firing pin block spring will lighten up the trigger pull depending on the trigger return spring and the mainspring installed in the firearm.

    What’s difference between GG Short Reset and the 4.1?

    • @grayguns
      @grayguns  2 місяці тому +1

      These are two different systems. Our short reset shortens the distance the trigger has to travel to reset the gun, before you can pull the trigger again. The 4.1 shortens the pre travel of the LEM trigger. The starting position of the 4.1 is a few millimeters closer to the wall/ break point.
