You don’t need to keep the app open or to be connected to the camera… it starts recording when the car starts
I don't know why but my videos are stuttering quite a bit doesn't matter the resolution I choose, I wonder if it has anything to do with power, (connected to a 12v adapter).
How are you downloading the videos? You may be downloading the small preview files
can this run off usb power ? rather that the cigarette lighter as I have a usb outlet in my review mirror?

b- to download a clip by wifi, how long it takes?
c- does have battery or without? like AZDOME M300 comes without

a- 1 hour is 13.2 GB at 4K resolution
b- transfer speed is 1.4X than video.. (about 50 Mbps wi-fi 5 GHz transfer speed) vs 4K video bitrate of 28-29 Mbps.
c- don't have a battery... instead a supercapacitor. Only works with 5V power plug connected.

No ADAS option in the settings and blank video preview on android headunit. 70mai m500 is better choice
70mai m500 have 2.4 ghz wifi. When you download video is to slow😬
Ridiculously simple interface and simplified settings for the right price and superb video quality. It is a keeper for now. Cons: no emergency button, should have voice control but no avail, no cpl filter available even though there are cuts around the lense to install something, storage should have been at least 128gb, no HDR option.

its a very unreliable dash cam, i had installed it with h/w kit and ddpai mini 5 it works and sometimes it doesent work, i had written so many emails to ddpai and never got a reply and i have also commented on ig and got deleted my comments ,overall if you ask me its total waste of money
ADAS was adverstied in page when i brought but later it was removed or dont work collision senstivity
GPS tracks dont work
camera dont wake up from sleep mode in parking mode (only timple laps or 15min parking survelience work) in case someone hit your car in parking after 15 mins then you are in deep sh*t
if you have ddpai mini 5 then check these options are working
