This song alone proves who is the actual keeper of the Yes flame, no matter how well Yes themselves are performing. Songs are songs. Jon and the Yes Geeks...oh yeah!
Totally agree! The second he sings all the great real spirit of Yes comes flooding back. There’s much more to music than notes and sound. Although The Geeks are definitely right there with the music. That can’t be underestimated.
Bollocks
@@AudioAtmos..Been a geeks fan for a long while now … Covering YES impeccably is only a slice of their genius … They aren’t a band they are a pizza and sandwich consuming lifestyle .. with music as their native tongue!!!

Yes, I had first heard of them from the previous tour and also had known of Richie Castellano even before that, but didn’t quite put it all together until more recently. The podcasts and all the music they cover with varying other talents is truly impressive. I’m very excited.
Pffffft dude do you have ears? Or a brain?
Undeniably Mr. Anderson carries the YES torch and nothing else comes close. Shine On Jon!
Pfft that’s an opinion and you know it
@@hpatss4966 11 people agree with my opinion. lol
Bollocks
The only touring band with an original Yes member.
True! Thought Howe was only original member in Yes, but Peter Banks preceded him.
Steve Howe is still touring
@@toddzydiak9910 He came in on their third album.
Jon is as relevant today as he has always been . Great tune
this music/ tour needs to be recorded as a live album
I’m sorry to the guys calling themselves YES, but this is YES. This has life and rhythm to it. It makes you want to tap your feet. YES is not YES without the writing and singing of Jon Anderson.
so true !
Yes sounds like a tribute band now. It’s disappointing because I’ve been a huge Yes fan since 72.
I hear Steve is insufferable to work with nowadays too.
I’m digging these guys. Richie has a good replacement tone for Chris.
I can't get over how well this song was written.....and produced....and performed.....this is the Once and Future Yes.
Captured the Yes sound perfectly.
80s Yes. I agree.
New music with Jon Anderson is carried on by one of the founding members of Yes. This is one of the best lineups with Jon singing after the initial separation from the original Yes group. The Band Geeks stepped up and proved their originality in writing this new music collaboration. This is a phenomenal attempt to incorporate the original sounds of Yes from the seventies era.
The Yes family of musicians now include The Band Geeks. Yes, and the sounds of Yes will continue for a long time.
Awesome!!!! I really like this one!!!! Can't wait to hear the studio recording of it! Jon sounds fantastic, as do the Band Geeks, both vocally and instrumentally!!!
fantastic! this rendition of Jon and the Band Geeks seems to be celebrating and extending the work of Yes in the 80's through Talk with a good sprinkling of classic Yes thrown in, and Steve's Yes (wouldn't that be a better name for that group?) is celebrating and extending the Drama work, honoring Tales - ITS ALL GOOD!
If I remember correctly, I think in one of his videos Richie said "Talk" was his favourite Yes album. The Rabin-era of Yes was where Andy and Richie swap guitar and bass in the set last year. This shorter song does very much seem to be in the style of that era.
Four of five listens or so was always when I started clicking to any classic YES. They sound great. I love his nod to Chris Squire with that jacket. Stage & lights look great. Band Geeks love this music and you can hear it. So glad they're out there.
Great call on the tribute to the jacket Chris Squire wore on the Union tour! 🎸
OMG! Jon sounds wonderful!
Yes, it's insane that the man will turn eighty this year! Like Placido Domingo, another iconic singer, Jon seems vocally indestructible. I've been listening to him and Yes for more than forty years...❤
This sounded much better in the house. The entire concert was excellent, and they performed several tracks from the forthcoming album. I appreciate that they had six singers on stage, so they recreated Yes harmonies in a lush manner that Yes doesn’t do live any more. I also love Yes’ live show, but am glad I went to this show.
Yes will always shine on!
Giant band Geeks with wonderful Jon Anderson rescue Progressive Rock with magnetism and pomp. I'm fan. Fraternal hug.❤
great to see jons still got it shine on jon
Sounds promising!
Amazing!!! I am seeing them tonight at Kodak Center In Rochester, NY! I love this song!
Awesome harmonies!!
Very "talk". Great track!
I'm getting a Big Generator vibe.
Jon is slaying it . Top form !
Jon's doing GREAT work these days - as always, he never disappoints. Such a creative spirit!
Awesome 👍😎
Jon and The Band Geeks❣️❣️❣️👍😎
This sounds like Yes music, so I'm calling it Yes. If we consider the name carefully, and Jon's lyrics in total, Jon is the "YES" in Yes, he's talking about certain ways of being that can heal, make the world better and brighter, and maybe bring a little bit of peace for a time, hopefully that time comes SOON.
Wonderful! So much talent! Bass drum has logo this year😎
Interesting--given how great the Geeks are at recreating the 70s classics, I'm surprised that this reminds me more of Rabin-era Yes!
I agree! Ritchie Castellano is a big Rabin fan
Are you watching and listening Steve Howe - Jon A - Yours Is No Disgrace
Good stuff!
Well said and YES so true!!
Such a great song. Definitely has that Conspiracy vibe and the stuff he did in the 90s.
The studio version’s on YT now 🏆🏆🏆
Please come back to D.C. !!!!
Thanks for sharing!
Can't wait to see them next Saturday ❤🤟
Yeah!
I was 13 when Yes played the Apollo Stadium in Adelaide, I lived 400 miles by road and my father would not have done that for me. So please come to Australia.
That BASS sounds familiar .😃😃
Billy's a great guy , and if anyone stepped up the game last SH/YES album it was him ,
but the Rick is intrinsic to the band , much needed for the YES sound .
@zenpool1
I love Billy. Dude offered to help me with my Production music, $$, before he became so busy.
All the solo, CIRCA: , Tribute albums...etc.
I'm not a BASS player, not that familiar, but that sound takes you back, (these guys are awesome), but also noticed being a Key guy, that sound hit me as well.
Sounded like Frigile CTTE...
Close your eyes.
As far as the SH/YES....can't listen....it's the vouce that I can not enjoy. Same with ARC of Life.
Just can't.
Hope Jon's album, makes me a YES fan again.
Cheers.
@@zenpool1 Agreed, I'd be happy to see Billy Sherwood in any version of Yes or the offshoots - that Rickenbacker Bass played with a Metal Pick is THE most recognizable Instrumental Tone in all of Yes music ...
I can get the jist of just how good this is. Even though the terrible recording! Ha Ha. Can't wait to hear the new CD.
Agree , I doubt this was from FOH/Soundboard .
Sounds like a 90125 song
This blows YES official, out of the water.
🎶🙂
Its studio version may be great!
The new YES.
This song shows that Jon still has magic left in his bag! What a great song! The current so called Yes hasn’t put out anything like this. I’ve listened to there new stuff briefly, and to me it seems dark and mundane. No uplifting appeal at all. The song Ice Bridge is decent, but nothing I’d write home about. So looking forward to the new album!!!
Something Tells Me We Have Our True YES Back!😎
Omg
This has balls. Sounds really good and catchy. Way better than anything the Steve Howe Yes Tribute band is producing. Mirror was just diluted water weak rubbish. Dire!!!
People, that is not Billy on bass. Omg@the comments. That is Richie and yes his bass sounds perfect
Billy is ten times the player
No,, he isn't. They're both recreating the mighty Chris Squire's basslines. There's more energy and harmonies in this tune than you will find on YES' last 3 releases.
@@4absentfriends Agreed! T
sound mix is pretty muddy but Jon does sound amazing. band sounds good too. fire the mixer!!
To be fair, this is not pro shot, and the audio is the audio. I wasn't there though, so I couldn't tell you.
Can only get so much fidelity with a phone...still packs a punch.
Don't break a hip Jon....
This has all the vocal power and the harmonies the current iteration of Yes is so sadly lacking.
Lytics need a bit more polish and cadence.
