I find the idea of a gym 'under construction' that gives out a badge opposite it's theme/type to be really funny. Maybe post game you can come back to the gym and go through it properly to meet the full time proper gym leader
Maybe you have a friendly npc throughout the game who ends up being the gym leader at the end, maybe challenges you before you reach the world championships, basically a secret 9th gym leader.

For the restaurent gym, you could have the moving through out the place to find the gym leader, like she's running around trying to take care of the place you just barely keep missing her and staff will be the challengers and it would be only after you finish off the staff she comes out and finds you! So like they start in the dining room (maybe or some sort or stage lol) it's normal, then moving into the kitchen its hot, then moving into the cold freezer, etc etc.

I absolutely love Kaiba and Tate; they actually have complex characters and conflicting philosophies that are equally feasible, while degrading the other. They kinda remind me of Skyrim
Each gym challenger would be optional(you need to talk to them) But they would give you 15 tickets for defeat, there would be three doors before you get to the gym leader, and each one would require 30 tickets. The tickets would also give your pokemon stat bonuses is you have 15 at hand in a battle. So you'd be able to collect alot of tickets for the stat bonuses, or just go with the minimum needed.
At the end before the gym leader, there's a "prize shop" where you have to buy a key or something that unlocks the gym leader fight, but you can also buy stat bonuses that your pokemon start with in the battle. In the event you don't have enough tickets [left] to unlock the gym leader fight, you can leave the gym and reset the trainers and your tickets
I've just realized all of the gym leaders are themed around changes in one way or another (buckle up this is a long comment) Adamo- Moved to Kaskade from Unova, moving is a pretty big change especially leaving an entire region. Caela- She changed her job from a Pokémon Ranger to a gym leader, Tso-Lo Falls is huge on soul searching, and even says "It's never to late to change yourself" Kaiba- He changed Bent Town for the better by having warehouses and producing goods to grow the economy Tate- Moved to avoid changing himself and would rather change what he does than change himself Mary & John- Married each other and started a family, marriage is a monumental change to someone's life as them and their SO are bound together by love, and making a family is also a really big change as you now have children to take care of and raise. Elna- She constantly changed her hobby to try and find what works for her, and was practicing her craft until she got really good. Zlata- She was bullied which likely made her feel insecure, but she changed her outlook and learned to love and accept herself making her more confident, becoming a streamer and gym leader, also says that people should just be themselves and not let others tell them how to live their lives. Trip- He traveled the world and learned more about the cultural differences of different regions, his whole mindset is to have society change to accept and respect other cultures instead of shunning them and thinking negatively of them.
Adding to your analysis. Kaiba and Tate also emphasize that the question is not as simple as "to change or not to change", but what do we change. Also, staying or leaving can be seen as cowardly from the other perspective, but both involve change and risk. Mary and John also emphasize the importance of having a constant in your life in order to change. You need a base (in their case, family and a place to belong) on which to build, roots from which to grow. And Zlata is all about controling change. Don't let outside influences dictate how you face the inevitable changes in your life. The fact that she does not look like an "adult" despite being one may make you think that she is resisting growing up, but in reality she is deciding how to grow, what to change and what not.

I love all of the trainers. They've all got really cool stories to tell and very different philosophies on life. They feel like characters rather than just "you have to battle me to progress. Here is my one trait. Now we fight." I think my favorite is either the ranch or the arcade.

The fact that kaiba has nothing resembling a blues eyes even in his rematch feels like a missed opportunity to me, especially when he's also related to a multiple million dollar company.

Being from Oregon, I'd like to formally say; yes, you can have a sunny rainy day. I've seen it sunny and raining, snowing, sleeting, hailing, you name it. What would be cool to see added is an arbitrary rng counter that will go off at any point (in battle or over world), and completely clear all weather in the current quadrant. As weather effects stack up, the likelihood of the counter being triggered increases.
I think what he was getting at was gameplay balance. Harsh Sun strengthens fire and weakens water. Heavy Rain strengthens water and weakens fire. Having both cancels each other out gameplay-wise
I actually had a thought about this. Instead of them being “gyms,” they’re actually gyms, and the player has to go to them to learn about different fighting styles. Once they’ve mastered all the styles, they can enter the league/challenge the elite four
Was also thinking about gyms that specialize on their specific stats like Hp, Atk, Def, Sp.Atk, Sp.Def, Speed and then the 7th is all about status moves ex. Poison and burn. The final gym is just a mixture of everything.

I was just thinking about this today actually, I wanted gyms based on the roles of the Meta. An all physical sweeper gym run by some aggressive yet friendly guy. A special focused Wall gym lead by someone who is clearly secretive and and guarded. Maybe some mother type character who is shown helping you earlier in the game who uses all support type Pokémon, make it a double of triple battle too she’s all about helping others and teamwork. That sort of thing.

I like this concept of gym leaders. Instead of the usual patterns of typing it's based off who they are as people. It's unique and is kinda like the game of life.
The best thing about raihan is that he's not themed to a type, he's themed to a strategy. I love that concept. Imagine a gym that changed depending on which starter you chose. Like if you choose water it's a sunlight based gym with pokemon that do well in sunlight, if you chose the fire starter its rain and pokemon that do well in rain, and if you picked grass its hail. The pokemon change depending on the weather but no matter what its ace is castform. And you can also do more general strategies! Like imagine a sweeper gym that has a ninjask with swords dance and baton pass alongside a really strong pokemon that's also really easy to take down, or a trick room gym. It makes gyms more interesting while also introducing new players to legitimately viable strategies and maybe getting them interested in the competitive scene
Amaze-all is definitely trying to either catch all the legends in kaskade or they are trying to turn kaskade into a steel town as we know they are doing something with steel types

As someone who is Balkan (Serbian to be exact) I LOVE Zlata! We have a lot of old arcades especially in the smaller towns and cities. Also her getting bullied for being even slightly different is in style of how it is living in Serbia and other places around it. Sun showers happen a lot, pollin could fill any air that didn't have heavy winds. Mist feels like it would compliment ghostly gusts and smog very well. It might be a good idea for him to reconsider and rework it so that there is a complimentary or logical mechanic in place. Perhaps a pokemon with a sunshower ability that allows for the sun and rain to be out at the same time (preferably a canine, since sunshowers are referred to as different canines' weddings depending on the culture.)
@@timwoods2852 I'm pretty sure Lockstin meant that they're conflicting in-game, like how you can't have Psychic-, Grassy- or Electric Terrain with another terrain. Not to mention that sunny day causes water type moves to weaken and fire type moves to become stronger, rain causes the opposite effect which means that it would be the most useful weather effect to exist.

Gonna be honest, your new character looks a bit TOO cartoony. Loving the region though, and I love that these gyms can't be swept by a single pokemon. Now I have to constantly switch out pokemon while battling, creating stronger bonds with them. HELL YES!!!!
I've been binging these Kaskade region videos today and they really mean a lot to me. I spent the first 25 years of my life in the greater Seattle area before moving all the way to Duluth Minnesota this year, and watching these videos makes me miss home in a nice way, if that makes sense. It's really endearing to see the place I grew up being stylized in a Pokemon fashion. It's fun. Anyway, thanks for making these videos!
Maybe for a bit of flavor, the trainer you fight in each “region” during Trip’s gym could play the Gym Leader theme from that region. Assuming that it’s the main characters of each region because it’s a fan game so rules don’t apply, Red would have the Kanto Gym Leader theme, Gold could have the Johto Gym Leader Theme, and so on and so forth. It could be modernized versions of the songs, it could be the original song for the point of nostalgia, I don’t know, it’d be cool regardless.
I feel like a funny way for in game of revealing that Zlata is older than she looks is that after battling her she either casually mentions she has kid or maybe a bunch of kids run up to her revealing to be hers, watching the battle in secret.
We’re gonna need a video just showing off All the new Pokémon with maybe a dex entry next to them. Like all those videos you see on the new SWSH Gen 8 Pokemon.

I absolutely love Kaiba and Tate; they actually have complex characters and conflicting philosophies that are equally feasible, while degrading the other. They kinda remind me of Skyrim
The arcade gym, you should have to collect enough tickets to battle.
I like the idea but like;
COME NOW TO THE ARCADE, WHERE IF YOU WIN [INSERT_NUMBER_HERE] TICKETS, OUR GYM LEADER WILL BEAT YOUR ENTIRE PARTY UP!
Each gym challenger would be optional(you need to talk to them)
But they would give you 15 tickets for defeat, there would be three doors before you get to the gym leader, and each one would require 30 tickets.
The tickets would also give your pokemon stat bonuses is you have 15 at hand in a battle.
So you'd be able to collect alot of tickets for the stat bonuses, or just go with the minimum needed.
Another idea in late game this should be a battle tower or something like that
And then you get a prize afterwards, along with the badge.
At the end before the gym leader, there's a "prize shop" where you have to buy a key or something that unlocks the gym leader fight, but you can also buy stat bonuses that your pokemon start with in the battle. In the event you don't have enough tickets [left] to unlock the gym leader fight, you can leave the gym and reset the trainers and your tickets

I've just realized all of the gym leaders are themed around changes in one way or another (buckle up this is a long comment)
Adamo- Moved to Kaskade from Unova, moving is a pretty big change especially leaving an entire region.
Caela- She changed her job from a Pokémon Ranger to a gym leader, Tso-Lo Falls is huge on soul searching, and even says "It's never to late to change yourself"
Kaiba- He changed Bent Town for the better by having warehouses and producing goods to grow the economy
Tate- Moved to avoid changing himself and would rather change what he does than change himself
Mary & John- Married each other and started a family, marriage is a monumental change to someone's life as them and their SO are bound together by love, and making a family is also a really big change as you now have children to take care of and raise.
Elna- She constantly changed her hobby to try and find what works for her, and was practicing her craft until she got really good.
Zlata- She was bullied which likely made her feel insecure, but she changed her outlook and learned to love and accept herself making her more confident, becoming a streamer and gym leader, also says that people should just be themselves and not let others tell them how to live their lives.
Trip- He traveled the world and learned more about the cultural differences of different regions, his whole mindset is to have society change to accept and respect other cultures instead of shunning them and thinking negatively of them.

Kaiba and Tate also emphasize that the question is not as simple as "to change or not to change", but what do we change. Also, staying or leaving can be seen as cowardly from the other perspective, but both involve change and risk.
Mary and John also emphasize the importance of having a constant in your life in order to change. You need a base (in their case, family and a place to belong) on which to build, roots from which to grow.
And Zlata is all about controling change.
Don't let outside influences dictate how you face the inevitable changes in your life. The fact that she does not look like an "adult" despite being one may make you think that she is resisting growing up, but in reality she is deciding how to grow, what to change and what not.

You try to rematch her but she's not there, and you have a small battle with like one of her parents
Then they tell you she's at her house, so you have to go there
And once you go there, theres like a small cutscene where you walk in and she gets startled and falls over while streaming
And then you have to help her with the stream by making it more interesting by having a battle with her
Then theres a stat board that appears that shows like how many people are on the stream and the donations she's getting along with some comments
And you win by either getting everything to the max, or beating all her pokemon
And you lose stuff by being repetitive, like spamming one move, or healing multiple times in a row
Also the comments may give hints if your struggling to beat her or get better ratings
Also if your pokemon or her's faint, the chat must show F multiple times

Being from Oregon, I'd like to formally say; yes, you can have a sunny rainy day. I've seen it sunny and raining, snowing, sleeting, hailing, you name it. What would be cool to see added is an arbitrary rng counter that will go off at any point (in battle or over world), and completely clear all weather in the current quadrant. As weather effects stack up, the likelihood of the counter being triggered increases.

I actually had a thought about this. Instead of them being “gyms,” they’re actually gyms, and the player has to go to them to learn about different fighting styles. Once they’ve mastered all the styles, they can enter the league/challenge the elite four

I was just thinking about this today actually, I wanted gyms based on the roles of the Meta. An all physical sweeper gym run by some aggressive yet friendly guy. A special focused Wall gym lead by someone who is clearly secretive and and guarded. Maybe some mother type character who is shown helping you earlier in the game who uses all support type Pokémon, make it a double of triple battle too she’s all about helping others and teamwork. That sort of thing.
Lockstin: Or, perhaps a maze with trainer battles, and the maze changes as you go through it due to Rotom possessing the arcade machines and moving them.

The best thing about raihan is that he's not themed to a type, he's themed to a strategy. I love that concept. Imagine a gym that changed depending on which starter you chose. Like if you choose water it's a sunlight based gym with pokemon that do well in sunlight, if you chose the fire starter its rain and pokemon that do well in rain, and if you picked grass its hail. The pokemon change depending on the weather but no matter what its ace is castform.
And you can also do more general strategies! Like imagine a sweeper gym that has a ninjask with swords dance and baton pass alongside a really strong pokemon that's also really easy to take down, or a trick room gym. It makes gyms more interesting while also introducing new players to legitimately viable strategies and maybe getting them interested in the competitive scene
Amaze-all is definitely trying to either catch all the legends in kaskade or they are trying to turn kaskade into a steel town as we know they are doing something with steel types

Sun showers happen a lot, pollin could fill any air that didn't have heavy winds. Mist feels like it would compliment ghostly gusts and smog very well. It might be a good idea for him to reconsider and rework it so that there is a complimentary or logical mechanic in place. Perhaps a pokemon with a sunshower ability that allows for the sun and rain to be out at the same time (preferably a canine, since sunshowers are referred to as different canines' weddings depending on the culture.)

Not to mention that sunny day causes water type moves to weaken and fire type moves to become stronger, rain causes the opposite effect which means that it would be the most useful weather effect to exist.

I've been binging these Kaskade region videos today and they really mean a lot to me. I spent the first 25 years of my life in the greater Seattle area before moving all the way to Duluth Minnesota this year, and watching these videos makes me miss home in a nice way, if that makes sense. It's really endearing to see the place I grew up being stylized in a Pokemon fashion. It's fun. Anyway, thanks for making these videos!

Maybe for a bit of flavor, the trainer you fight in each “region” during Trip’s gym could play the Gym Leader theme from that region. Assuming that it’s the main characters of each region because it’s a fan game so rules don’t apply, Red would have the Kanto Gym Leader theme, Gold could have the Johto Gym Leader Theme, and so on and so forth. It could be modernized versions of the songs, it could be the original song for the point of nostalgia, I don’t know, it’d be cool regardless.
I feel like a funny way for in game of revealing that Zlata is older than she looks is that after battling her she either casually mentions she has kid or maybe a bunch of kids run up to her revealing to be hers, watching the battle in secret.
We’re gonna need a video just showing off All the new Pokémon with maybe a dex entry next to them. Like all those videos you see on the new SWSH Gen 8 Pokemon.
