"Fossils" _________ Feafur = "Frozen Fang" (duh, it's the most iconic part of saber-toothed tigers) Phisnooz = "Frozen Trunk" (though I believe it's a tad morbid to just be carrying around the frozen nose of an ancient creature in your pocket, like Feafur's fossil, it's the most iconic part of the thing, so I got nothing else better) Macedontus = "Frozen Plate" (nothing wrong there, it's basically perfect) Crynorawst = "Frozen Horn" (again, duh, most iconic part of the animal) Follow-Up Idea: You bring these guys' fossils to a museum/fossil discovery center of some kind next to a "dig site" (where you can find said fossils) to revive the things. Perhaps they're even selling merchandise of them or something, such as Crynorawst plushies, plastic figurines of Macedontus, or even fake, collectors-edition versions of the fossils themselves. We have an Ice Age-specializing fossil discovery center here in my county in California, so I think that'd be cool (no pun intended).
i'd take the revival-process thing for a complete spin. Like... not you bringing the fossils to a scientist, but rather you choosing from frozen pokémon in a wall of see-through ice. Like... basically the "which one do you want", but you see which pokémon you will get afterwards, and that you'll get a small rundown of what the pokémon can do. Like... Feafurr *you walk to the left side of the ice-cave, and see a big, flaming hot looking pokémon frozen in place, wrapping around her children* Scientist: "Oh yeah, that's a Vicear and her Feafurr babies right there. One Feafurr looks like it could be cloned pretty easily! Would you like me to clone you a Feafurr?" (rundown of Feafurr) Yes/No and Phisnooz *you walk to the right side of the ice-cave, seeing a herd of tall pokémon standing around a batch of babies, all frozen in place. You feel something humming in your head as you get closer* Scientist: "Ahh yes, a herd of Telemac sheltering their Phisnooz. The Telemac look pretty banged up, but i can try to clone one of the Phisnooz if you like me to. Would you like me to clone you a Phisnooz?" (rundown of Phisnooz) Yes/No and *you walk further up into the cave (after some event which let an earthquake make a hole in the wall) to see scientists digging and working, trying to get to two pokémon frozen in place which looked like they were trying to hold back a wall of thicker ice* Scientist: "AH! You again! Thank you for (thing you did) back then! This is your lucky day, kiddo! The earthquake caused by that gave us a perfect view for those two pokémon! A Macedontus and a Crynowrast! They look like they tried their best to hold back this ice... but are pefectly preserved! You can choose which one you want to be cloned, and i'll do it for you as a way of saying "thank you"!" (maybe you could have had some grunts try to steal lab equipment and cloned pokémon but you stop them) Scientist: "Would you like me to clone the Macedontus/Crynowrast?" (rundown of Macedontus/Crynowrast) Yes/No Why a Macedontus and Crynowrast would be working together to try to stop ice? Hmm... Maybe the Crynowrast tried to stop it on its own because their herd left already, and a hiding Macedontus would have decided "i can try to help as well!" They wouldn't have succeeded of course, but it could be a kind of lesson for like... help others, even though you look different. I know it would be a tad bit more... weird for a 10-year old looking at dead/frozen pokémon and choosing which one to have on their team, but i think it would bring in a better factor of unique-ness! As a last answer: The scientists would have all of their cloning-equipment down in the cave with them, and a bit more in a surface lab, but all cloning-processes listed above would be held down in the ice-cave Damn... this kind of makes me want to REALLY write more dialogue, but i know that i'd never be let into stuff like that. There are people WAY more qualified than me and would make stuff a million times better, but there is just this THOUGHT of like... "hey man, we saw what you did and we would like to ask you to help us with the game we are planning!" I'd have a heart attack but then say yes. Not because of money or fame but rather to help people in nice things of what they are doing, and a few extra hands typing text which may or may not be good for certain situations could always be useful i think

Let me add a few: Frostburn: *exists* Landorus: *sweats profusely* Ferrothorn: *sweats profusely* Garchomps: *sweats profusely* Vaicear does sound like quite the good offensive pokemon in a Hail/Sun Team, even if he is particularily weak to *those* rocks.
@@BryerRose That depend on the original type of Frostburn, which would most likely Ice type. Thus, on a Grass type, such as Meganium, it would be an Ice type. And, considering Double typing, a Steel-Grass type, such as Ferrothorn would make Frostburn, a Fire move. Ground-Grass, like Torterra? Ice-type. Flying Press is a similar move, that we can use to understand it better. But it doesn't have any overlapping weakness to hit on, as there is no unique type that are both weak to Fighting and Flying type, it will only hit 2x super effectively, whatever the case. Something I've noticed, while checking for this comment, Normalize and Electrize only affect the primary type. Thus, if Frostburn were to have one of these abilities, you would have a Normal/Electric - Fire move. I can't tell exactly how that works, although. I would say it would choose the one that does damage, but Ground/Motorize Pokémon (Or even Flash Fire) would most likely be immune to one of the type, while the other would be able to. Something to test out with Flying Press, I guess
i love all the lockemon, but the Blazingbloom-exclusive ones are definitely my favorite. i mean come on, psychic ancient giraffe/tapir, magical fire lizard, and the fire/ice tiger of death? iconic

7:05 The ability could be called Temperature Shock, the effect where going from high temps to low(or vice versa) too quickly can cause shock in a patient. Though, that might work better as a name if the ability was that using a fire move immediately after an ice one(or vice versa) deals extra damage.

Love your fossil designs! Your logic about them not being rock types made me think of something I'd love to see you talk about. The wild "fossil" pokemon in the crown tundra dlc dont have Galar variants that remove the rock typing. If they were never fossils what other types do you think they would have if any?
I’d love to add three more, a Cave Bear and a Giant Sloth. The Cave Bear would be Dark/Ice and an ancestor to Ursaring, Bewear and Beartic lines. Would be a physical tank with a moderate speed, however, as it was a scavenger, it’s ability would be to let an ally Pokémon always go ahead of it, with its other ability being Intimidate and it’s hidden ability being Moxie. The Giant Sloth mon would be Ice/Normal and an ancestor to the Slakoth line. It’s ability wouldnt be truant as Giant Sloths were quite mobile, and could kick some serious ass, maybe Hustle as it’s main ability, with Thick Fat as its secondary. Both of these mons would be version exclusive fossil Pseudo Legends due to how dominate of a species they were, both physical attacking tanks, with the Cave Bear being more defensive whilst the Giant Sloth would be a bit faster. A 3rd mon I though of while typing this would be a Hellpig, ancestor to the Tepig line. probably an Ice/Fighting type with Vital Spirit, Intimidate (because they’re terrifying), and it’s hidden ability would be either Scrappy or Anger Point. Scrappy would make it better but Anger Point would fit better, and it’s BST fully evolved would be 530 with most of it in attack and speed, with average defense and everything else would be middling, a glass cannon
How About This Ability for Vaicear: Searing Claws Physical Attacks May Leave he opponent with a Burn Basicly the Opposite/Offensive form of "Flame Body"
Crynorawst being a sweetie is actually especially fitting if you know what rhinos are like in captivity. Rhinos raised in zoos tend to be affectionate and sweet.
Yaaay! There should honestly be more Ice Age fossils. I know they're not from the Ice Age, but all the same, I hope we get a Dodo Fossil Pokemon someday
How about an Ice/ Normal dodo that is of low intelligence, then it evolves and grows a second head from it's behind and becomes Ice/ Psychic. Its name could be a palindrome like Girafarig.
I love the unspoken lore here with these being the fire Pokémon that died when Arctoyield moved in also being represented with the designs having warm accents

Honestly this is one of my favorite episodes so far about your Kaskade region, I even came up with some of my own mons based of off yours Alchenia and maracillama(ice-normal): the ancestors to numel and camerupt, these ancient pokemon lacked much means of defense, instead choosing to evade any threat in a mass stampede, in terms of appearance they are largely similar to a macrauchenia in terms of appearance and have shaggy fur like a llama or alpaca, with Alchenia having light brown fur with a white underbelly and maracillama having chocolate brown fur with a beige underbelly. Phasmoline and spectroiger(ice-ghost): believed to be the ancestors to most modern cat pokemon, they were the apex predators of there habitat, having paranormal abilities that made them excellent predators, with some researchers theorizing they may have even hunted in packs/prides, Phasmoline is white in color with light blue stripes and paws whereas spectroiger is grey with the same light blue stripes, but have triangular tips like a tigers, as well as their teeth being light blue and jagged like icicles and ice colored tufts of fur at the back of their legs. Hillodillo and Alpidon (ice-rock): sturdy, strong pokemon that are believed to be the ancestors to Sandshrew and by extension Sandslash, they were virtually predator proof since they're shells were rock hard. Hillodillo kinda looks like a mix between a armadillo and a glyptodon. With a brown shell with a white top and posses light grey fur where they aren't covered in armour, as for alpidon it is much more closely based on dodicurus with their shell being dark, rocky grey in color with a bluntish snow covered tip resembling a mountain, as well as darker grey fur.
My own ice age-like pokemon: Stagsickle: Ice/Ground Name: Stag, Saw, Sickle, Icicle, and Stegosaurus Design: A hunched over long and slender lizard. Has icicle spikes on his back but the more it reaches its back, the curved is turns, similar to a scythe or a sickle. Lizard-like legs. Small but sharp claws on every legs to dig through the ground. The tail is a huge chunk of ice. Origins: An ancestor of certain lizards Pokemon like Keckleon, Sceptile, and Krookadile. Story: Diggs into the dirt and searches for food while hiding. From the surface, it looks like pillars of ice but if it feels attacked or threatened, it will dig and attack its enemy by the spikes on its back. Researchers dubbed its attacking method, “The Blizzard Buzzsaw”. The main body is heated but it’s spikes are the colder area. The colder it gets, the more blue the spikes seem to appear getting its ice-like spikes on its back. The only fossil only to be obtainable is it’s spikes. The spikes on its back cannot be grown back but it does not worry them as ice starts to form on the missing spot replacing the broken spike. I dunno about abilities, move pool, or stats
Hey. I think Instead of Sallazle being its only Great Great Great Gran-Daughter, Why not also make It the Ancestor to Keckleon,Sceptile and Krookodile?

Like...
Feafurr
*you walk to the left side of the ice-cave, and see a big, flaming hot looking pokémon frozen in place, wrapping around her children*
Scientist: "Oh yeah, that's a Vicear and her Feafurr babies right there. One Feafurr looks like it could be cloned pretty easily! Would you like me to clone you a Feafurr?" (rundown of Feafurr)
Yes/No
and
Phisnooz
*you walk to the right side of the ice-cave, seeing a herd of tall pokémon standing around a batch of babies, all frozen in place. You feel something humming in your head as you get closer*
Scientist: "Ahh yes, a herd of Telemac sheltering their Phisnooz. The Telemac look pretty banged up, but i can try to clone one of the Phisnooz if you like me to. Would you like me to clone you a Phisnooz?" (rundown of Phisnooz)
Yes/No
and
*you walk further up into the cave (after some event which let an earthquake make a hole in the wall) to see scientists digging and working, trying to get to two pokémon frozen in place which looked like they were trying to hold back a wall of thicker ice*
Scientist: "AH! You again! Thank you for (thing you did) back then! This is your lucky day, kiddo! The earthquake caused by that gave us a perfect view for those two pokémon! A Macedontus and a Crynowrast! They look like they tried their best to hold back this ice... but are pefectly preserved! You can choose which one you want to be cloned, and i'll do it for you as a way of saying "thank you"!" (maybe you could have had some grunts try to steal lab equipment and cloned pokémon but you stop them)
Scientist: "Would you like me to clone the Macedontus/Crynowrast?" (rundown of Macedontus/Crynowrast)
Yes/No
Why a Macedontus and Crynowrast would be working together to try to stop ice? Hmm... Maybe the Crynowrast tried to stop it on its own because their herd left already, and a hiding Macedontus would have decided "i can try to help as well!"
They wouldn't have succeeded of course, but it could be a kind of lesson for like... help others, even though you look different.
I know it would be a tad bit more... weird for a 10-year old looking at dead/frozen pokémon and choosing which one to have on their team, but i think it would bring in a better factor of unique-ness!
As a last answer: The scientists would have all of their cloning-equipment down in the cave with them, and a bit more in a surface lab, but all cloning-processes listed above would be held down in the ice-cave
Damn... this kind of makes me want to REALLY write more dialogue, but i know that i'd never be let into stuff like that. There are people WAY more qualified than me and would make stuff a million times better, but there is just this THOUGHT of like... "hey man, we saw what you did and we would like to ask you to help us with the game we are planning!"
I'd have a heart attack but then say yes. Not because of money or fame but rather to help people in nice things of what they are doing, and a few extra hands typing text which may or may not be good for certain situations could always be useful i think

@@luxiwayfarer369 so my question would be if it hit a grass type would it be a fire or a ice move?

Honestly this is one of my favorite episodes so far about your Kaskade region, I even came up with some of my own mons based of off yours
Alchenia and maracillama(ice-normal): the ancestors to numel and camerupt, these ancient pokemon lacked much means of defense, instead choosing to evade any threat in a mass stampede, in terms of appearance they are largely similar to a macrauchenia in terms of appearance and have shaggy fur like a llama or alpaca, with Alchenia having light brown fur with a white underbelly and maracillama having chocolate brown fur with a beige underbelly.
Fossil pokemon have ALWAYS been my favorite, Armaldo and Auroras are my top top faves >:DD
My own ice age-like pokemon:
Stagsickle: Ice/Ground
Name: Stag, Saw, Sickle, Icicle, and Stegosaurus
Design: A hunched over long and slender lizard.

@@Mattno.777 yeah but I couldn’t think of any other Pokémon at that time so I just put in the first lizard Pokémon I thought of
@@flying_gorilla8069 I was just giving an idea but Ok.
ALSO ISNT SALLAZLE A SALAMANDER?
@@flying_gorilla8069 i myself thought of a Arctic Sallamander Fossil Pokémon that was Ice/Poison type that would be the ancestor to Toxtricity,Sallazle and A New Kaskadian Quagsire.
Glad this video is not “those are just dinosaurs”
It’s “those are ice dinosaurs”
The first one killed my heart. Im done. "Stop hitting me" also kills me
I love the idea of fossil pokemon being like a direct ancestor form of a regular pokemon. A gen where the fossil pokemon were the ancestors of the starters, or the legendaries would be awesome. I love this series Lock.
you are the only person i watch the sponsored segments of, how are you so GENIUNE /pos
like i don't care if this stuff is actually great or not but you sound like just a friend telling me about something you like

Ice water bucket? What is this, 2014?😂
Sigh...that would be better than 2020
Hater
@@dannyman5751 dude, it's 2020, it hates itself... WAIT, IS THAT WHY THERE WERE KILLER HORNETS FOR A BIT, 2020 JUST DECIDED TO HARM ITSELF WITH HORNETS? Also, if they still exist, I'm sorry for those dealing with them, but with how quick the media dropped them I think they just stopped existing or were delt with.
@@shadowsnake5133 ??
@@dannyman5751 you said hater, and nobody else was mentioned, and it was 25 minutes ago, so unless someone was quick to delete their comment, I'm assum... actually, forget it, I'm just going insane, don't mind me.
They are hating because he did something funny and this Jack guy is being a brat about it
Good job on the fossils! On the thumbnail, I tried to figure out which Pokemon they looked like, but they looked reminiscent yet distinct.
I love the poor sick saber tooth cub that evolves to be a healthy king. The fact that you said that the macrauchenia's trunk resemble the macaroni noodle is that the saber tooth king finds him delicious. Just remembering the fifth episode of walking with beasts.
the first thing I think of when I hear "ice age" is the squirrel
I’d LOVE to see a giant sloth “fossil” Pokémon. It’s imo the best ice age animal
I am sid the sloth!
Lmao gamefreak gonna make alolan/galar slakoth
@@iksskan9147 Kaskadian Slakoth, Vigoroth and Slaking.
Ice/Normal type.

BUT ONLY EXPLAINS WHERE TO GET ONE! ONE!
Is he trying to make me angry or what?!
WHERE do i get the excellent Plushies from? That's
the question.
I already have Shoes! And i also dislike Binding them
and all examples shown are not the 'kind' of shoe i wear!
So what?
Vaicear is legitimately my favorite Pokémon of this Region.
I love how, despite everything, the Stegosaurus is still excluded from the Pokemon Universe
the drake part of dracozolt and dracovish? or is that more like the kentrosaurus?
Yeah I want a stegosaurus pokemon
I still want to one though. I made my own fakemon Stegosaurus an Electric/Ground type based on an electric generator. Mandjtv had a point that he wanted to a Stego Pokemon
ua-cam.com/video/AqsdmomR4p0/v-deo.html
It's dumb that they make new dog, cat, turtle, bat, fish, monkey and snake Pokémon nearly every gen, but there's still no Stegosaurus, dolphin, manatee, narwhal or flamingo Pokémon.
Strong Jaw alone would already do Vicear wonders with already having STAB for Ice and Fire Fang and boosting those further. Your Idea would make the Ultra Beasts perfectly balanced.
I think tough claws would go well
AT 7:21 THE PHOTO OF THE ROCK IS THE FALLEN BALANCING ROCK IN HOLLISTON MASSACHUSETTS, WHICH IS THE STATE I LIVE IN!!! It’s nice to see that a UA-cam that I really like is acknowledging this indirectly. It feels like my town is so unimportant, but it has a LOT of historical value.
I love all of lockstin’s videos. They’re always very entertaining, especially if he gets sponsored.
Dude im in love with these fossils and the whole region, like these are so creative!
Bro, gamefreak better be watching and taking notes because this is how you make a game and it's characters.
Ok we have starters, bird, bug, psuedo, legend, mythical, gym leaders, fossil, new mechanic, a bit of amaze-all, other pokemon and the E4 on twitter. What's next?
Well... we gotta talk about some of those Pokemon the Gym Leaders had at some point, and also flesh out Amaze-All some more.
Some regional pokemon probably
Also he needs protagonist champeon rival
@@jasonreinherz7164 Ok true
Oh wait the titles
Lockstin: these shoes keep the water out

This region needs a actual game. Start to finish this place is actually amazing.
