I rescued a 16.2 Hanoverian off a slaughter truck. She was 18, terrified and freaked out. I found her history and it turned out a kid fell off, because she was way over horsed, and the father sent her to auction. They’d paid 5 figures for her. Crazy. But shes a healthy and happy 33 year old now.

@@JorrynOlsen guessing you're talking about a foal - check out Free Spirit Equestrian as she's new with foals, but has one that was born there and got another 5 month old foal at auction. She works closely with her vet and her farrier - Should be very helpful. Any horses with behavioral issues - check out Steve Young. Both are very positive and Steve always says pain is the worst motivator. Hope that helps.

My dad worked his horses per 6 per team in the oilfield back when. He had 18 horses & when I was born in 1941 & we had 17 horses out on pasture all worked their hearts out for him & he made sure they had a good retirement. We buried them in our family cemetery in a section of their own all 18. Me my children grandchildren & greatgrand children all clean the cemetery every spring we have Dinner on the ground & have a ceremony for all my greatgrand parents on both sides as well as my parents are buried there I'm 81 & remember every year doing this ❤

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Vet Nancy! She is loving and willing to go the distance for these animals. But, if she knows they cant get better no matter how much wk/resources, she has no qualm in putting them over the rainbow bridge. No used to drag them thru all that. At first it seemed like she was doing that a lot. The luck of the draw for Vet Nancy and many thought she was just to quick to give the last act of kindness. She is full of love, very thorough but very pragmatic at the same time. I for one appreciate that! Thx V Nancy!❤

So glad you are there to take these poor old horses out of this round about of going from auction to auction. So sad, that these old horses are being put through this rather than being put down by their owners. When you take on guardianship of any animal relieving their suffering when they get old or too sick is your final responsibility. I have seen other sites where rescues try to keep animals going that should be relieved of their suffering and I think sometimes they do it just to get more donations. Thank you for doing the right thing by the animals you take in.

Love Dr. Nancy..ya just know that when she says the last act of kindness is needed, then it's needed..❤ lots of us want to save them all and don't want the last act of kindness.. but that is selfish, to not do the last act of kindness might make us feel better but it's the poor horses that have to keep suffering..when in all honesty the last owner should of done it. But no, they want a few pennies so they drag the poor things to auction 😢

Auction intake team is terrific as usual, with exceptional staff holding the forte together..
With regards to the beautiful pinto stallion with walrus teeth.. Could you work in conjunction with a veterinary teaching facility to educate more veterinary students and get him the dental medical treatment he needs..? Potentially A win win win situation all round..

Yes, love is in the air, my two dogs are going through the motions with lots of ear licking and the "usual", they're spayed and neutered but poor Fritz has a bad case of wishful thinking. 🤣😂🤣

18:50 It's sort of weird seeing Kory with a horse that makes him look small, without it being a draft or something similar. 😂
    Beautiful horse tho..❤

VET NANCY: perhaps shorten your hoof extension by 1/2 to 1/3 to keep it on longer and make her stretch of ligaments less intense and more acceptable.
