You know you watch too many true crime channels when they start overlapping and you hear the same stories from every channel. Each time it’s covered it’s done differently though so I still watch hoping to hear new information. Plus, the raven is an amazing story teller so I don’t mind.

Imagine being told your husband had been murdered in cold blood and then after all that, the police call you up and tell you your child isn’t your deceased husbands…you had an affair with his best friend and you’re now the prime suspect. Then 18mo later, they call and say “oops, we’re sorry, we mixed up the samples. Your son IS your dead husbands. You’re no longer a suspect. Sorry for the life long trauma. Byeeee!”. It’s so wrong.

Right?!?! As sad as it is to say, at least they finally did acknowledged they messed up. I mean, how many times do we hear stories about people wrongly convicted of a crime, sitting in prison for DECADES, even though there is copious amounts of evidence proving their innocence?!?! All because the prosecutor's, and/or detective's egos are too fragile to actually admit they were wrong. People locked up behind bars for most of their lives, while the real culprit commits more crimes, so the "good guys" can keep their reputations in tact. I've seen so many shows about cases like that, where you can't believe they were even charged, let alone found found guilty, and man they are infuriating. "We're truly sorry that we were too lazy to actually do our jobs, destroying your, and your family's lives in the process. I know it can never replace what was taken from you, but here's some money to help you rebuild what we so negligently stole..........Hahaha. Psych, rot in hell you innocent bastard! Soooo, so long sucker!! Not our problem anymore."

The kohlepp case is never truthfully told- it only takes one more step to get the real story there, and personally, I think its one very interesting part. The POLICE didnt track the location of Carver's phone...HIS EX-WIFE DID. She was not getting her child support and the authorities were paying her no mind when she started complaining. SHE called the phone company and said she was a detective and SHE located the property. She went there snooping. When she informed the Sheriffs ofc. the information she had gotten and threw a fit until they went and investigated,(bc they did not take the missing persons cases seriously.) The police charged HER with impersonating a police officer. This was widely reported when the story broke, but the police have been able to cover their poor response in the media with their own B.S. (I'd like to see a movie made from Carver's ex-wife's perspective)

Have you ever gone to your doctor for a blood workup and the "vampire nurse" has trouble getting a sample so they just give up? The court order said, "get a sample of this man's blood under supervision" and someone said, "Nah, too hard." WTF?

As a professional vampire nurse type person, you are only legally/ethically allowed to attempt blood collection 2xs. Up to 3 people can try, a total of 6 attempts. After that, the Dr can write for different types of blood collection. Artery or foot collection, PICC line.
So, yes, "too hard" is an actual thing.

For the murder of the Codds, Jason Owens was convicted and will serve a minimum of 59 ½ years in prison up to a maximum of 74 ½ years. This trial brought attention once again to Zebb's case. On July 10, 2017, a grand jury indicted Owens for first-degree murder in his death. Owens told a strange story blaming his uncle, Gene Owens, for killing Quinn. He claimed that his uncle forced him to help dispose of the body by dismembering and burning it. Rather than go to trial, Owens pleaded guilty to being an accessory after the fact to first-degree murder. He received a sentence of ten years, which he will serve concurrently with those in the Codd case. He should have gotten more time but at least he'll never set foot out of the prison again.

      Cops aren't always incompetent.
Some know exactly what they are doing.
Which is why I got charged twice, 6 years apart, for a crime that never happened.
Even having a witness, to the entire nights events in 2002, was totally ignored.
My crime was being male, with a complainant being female.
That nasty girl screwed my life over, (as I later found out, I was the fourth) and there was no evidence anywhere.
It's a long story with a number of twists, which many think I'm making up.
HELLOOO the girl had been off her meds for 10 months apparently.
And real life isn't always logical. So just because brainless twats don't see the logic they expect, doesn't mean the entire case is a lie.
People can be immensely stupid while thinking they're really smart.
