I might be testing out a YT live stream this weekend. YT should send notice to subscribers once I schedule it. Gotta look at the calendar and prep for it. Testing out YT for streaming in the future.
Really good run! That Dreadnaught zone is no joke. I think it was a bit easier with my main character, minion witch, because of the minion body blocking and also with my ice strike monk because of the freezing. But then I proceeded to die on both characters to the end of Act 2 boss, which has been the toughest boss in the game so far (at least until I figured out the mechanics as well as a certain trick). Something for you to look forward to when you make it this far again!
@@deucehammer Trick is probably the wrong word. It's more like being properly prepared, which is tough to do on a blind run. Think about what could be done to make the first act end boss easier and apply similar knowledge.
Yes! I have been really thinking ahead once I face something because I don’t want to get stuck on a boss. I have had some setbacks though, as you will soon see 😅
btw, @3:20, while in the passive screen (this was true in PoE1), you could also simultaneously open up the character, skill panel, item panel, and probably a few others, without having to exit out. Holding your “advanced item desc./compare item” button, or maybe just Left Alt, idk I changed my keybinds, allows you to see a very undercooked dps comparison TOOLTIP to your various slotted skill gems.
F*** Commented before you started the Dreadnaught 😢 But still, you’re improving and learning from each run. PS! I get the appeal of HC but this game has a LOT of BS mechanics and I wouldn’t think any less of you if you started playing SC tbh.
"This ranger is hitting like a truck, I'm putting out so much damage", imagine if he realized he can use his skills and mana, and has mana potions, instead of using his autoattack for everything.
Awesome job im doing the exact same challenge as you think ive died 9 times and ive only got to lvl 25, remember you can press escape to pause the game if you're close to dying, then hit respawn at checkpoint, after that there will be a short 3 secound delay, where your character can be killed but you can remove that delay by instantly hitting escape again, it has saved me quite abit, cause it seems allmost impossible to not get stuck in a pile of mobs in this game. Gl. Allso make sure to do all the side quests to make your character stronger, gear is everything in hardcore and getting abit of bonuses on your gear could mean you survive a 1 shot from a boss
Thanks! Good job on your progress. I am choosing not to use the respawn mechanic as it makes for more raw content. Do or die. Once Im done with the challenge ill probably use it
No, because my dumbass waddled her ranger buttcheeks into a group of those lava-spewing sand monsters (WHITE MOBS) (in Act 2's first map), and died miserably in a molten bukkake, so that's what I named my next Warrior in honor of. (SandLavaBukkake) True Story
Great run, man. Sorry to see you go, but that area has some crazy mob density and I am not surprised you got surrounded. My only advice is to use your skills more and your basic shot less. I hardly ever saw you use your skills except against bosses. In the caravan you probably need to use your AOE skills a bit more, if not to kill the mobs outright then at least to soften up enough that you can one shot them with your basic shots.
I got myself killed so many times on that Dreadnought, it's not even funny. I'll never again get close to the next bridge while anything behind me still breathes.
@@deucehammer A couple of tips that you might want to think about. When you choose a skill, pay attention to the keywords on top of skill description. Then try to adjust your skill tree points, the support gems and your gear stats around those keywords as much as you can. This way you will scale more efficiently than going for some fire, projectile, lighnting, crit chance etc etc... Try to get as much elemental resistance as you can, and choose a defensive mechanic (armour, evasion, energy shield) with the same thought process of scaling. Install a loot filter, that will help you recognize the value of items and currency that drop. Look for neversink lootfilter, pretty easy to install. Last but not least, use your skill/spell more than autoatk should improve your damage output by a lot, and therefore your survivability.
0:30 Pretty sure this is an unimplimented side activity of some sort. When the game first came out there was an icon on the worldmap indicating there should be something else beside the boss down here, but it seemed to be bugged and it's since been removed I think, will probably get implemented again once it's finished.
A pity, you almost made it. You still never use your Lightning Rods+Lightning Arrow, your strongest weapon. Which would have saved you easily. You can just cast the rods ahead of yourself, especially during the Dreadnought, and will control the whole area, no matter how many enemies there are. Skilling Lightning damage instead of going full projectile+attack damage is also key since the Auto-Attack just wont help you anymore at this point.
Btw, these videos are about 2 weeks behind my progress, so tips today won’t register in videos for a couple weeks. I am trying to use skills more now. Sadly, the rangers death had already occurred prior to your tip on last video. This is actually good as it prevents major tips on bosses from actually spoiling the blind aspect…that is unless I get stuck for weeks on a boss (has not happened yet 😉)
@@deucehammer thats very clever. i remember playing through the campaign in hc the first four days, when no one had any idea about anything. its a unique experience and i hope you continue to savour it!
Well played. Don't feel bad, although you should have gone back the way you came instead of "escaping" forward: The dreadnought needs a serious balance pass. On my monk I actually died on the second bridge because enemies jumped from offscreen and blocked the way forward and backwards while about 10 rangers sniped me within two seconds. I died about 5 times on my way to the boss only to kill the boss in my first try...
Yeah tough map. I tried to go back but I think the little bridge between carts is buggy. It wouldn’t let me and on a future run I tested this. Seems you have to be in the right spot in front of the bridge or the game doesn’t allow you to pass.
Such a splendid attempt. It was exciting seeing you play truely blind.
Thanks! Next character I try is the Witch. Let’s see if I can clear act 2 boss on first try!
Awesome job man ! No boss can kill this man!
todays tip: that jewel you put on the passive tree can be upgraded just like everything else.
Oh dang! Nice tip 💪
You're absolutely killing it. Sadly I can never seem to catch your streams :D I blame timezones! It would be so much easier if the world was flat!

@@deucehammer Awesome, I'll definitely keep an eye out.
6:44 A certified shit your pants moment.
😂
fun series, good job man. going thru this game blind was a blast for me, i can't imagine doing it on hc ssf lol.
Thanks! Yeah high stakes for sure. Having fun though 🤣
what a great journey, cant wait for your next tune
Likely this weekend!

@@grittyhondo6404 I move onto the witch from here. Hopefully release next video this weekend.
Damn man, you were killin it.
We’ll be back in act 3 soon. I can feel it.
Good progress. There will be more surprises, don't worry.
For sure!
Very cool game play. Really... Anxiety inducing
Tell me about it. Having trouble sleeping if I play too late. 🤣
Fantastic run. You died well, under a pile of mobs, as it should be, instead of some unknown off screen one shot.
This made me laugh. So true
The titan boss was a lot of fun! You got lucky he didn't try to flick you off the platform.
I was wondering if he could do that

It was going so well. So much power. But a sad story in the end.
We will be back in Act 2 very soon!
The Dreadnaught is an absolute bitch of a level. You were doing so well with this run. Keep it up, you'll be back before you know it

hi, for jewels you can upgrade them with blue orbs or alchemy. i recommend alch imo if you have only one and need it for your skill tree
