Ps5 player here, on console when mapping we need slightly more radius space between mapping portals and the mapping device, tired of going into portal accidentally when trying to access mapping device
How quickly GGG moves with this kind of stuff just makes it painfully obvious how corporate structure in AAA games is absolutely crippling to development and communication.

"Elite attacks disappear and don't detonate after death" doesn't mean there's no "on death explosions", it means things they casted before their death will disappear. If a mob has something trigger on death, that would still trigger.
I think Raxx was talking about the floor stuff that lingers after killing the enemy that spawned it. Like the stupid acid puddles or the elemental explosions
Theyre only removing the effects of their modifiers on death such as ele explosions and (hopefully) the volatile plant bombs. The innate things specific to mob types i.e acid pools, and the big guys blowing up will stay
You can tell theyre really listening to the feedback of the community which is amazing,this is actually such a good patch and im excited for the future of the game in general

I am new to POE, I played a little of poe 1 (I beat the campaign once) this new game feels SOOOOOOO Much easier to get into. I find myself truly enjoying the experience. I actually foresee myself reaching endgame content and playing it, which shocks me, as I never even thought that was a possibility for me in poe1. Love the game, its awesome, and I love how much more approachable it is than the original.
Same to me I've played poe 1 only on act 1. With diff. Build and that's it. But now on Poe 2 I'm on act 3 cruel difficulty never imagined I've come this far. As a casual player I've loved this game ,challenging yet fun. Hopefully try the Endgame

@ISeeTheLightss it filters the items in game to make them much easier to recognize quickly. Different colors and borders are also implemented so you can quickly know what dropped without sifting through piece by piece. Basically it just saves you a lot of time, especially in endgame.

I tried the first Poe, couldn’t get on with it, thought I’d give this one a go, and I really like it. I followed your witch build for beginners, I’m on cruel difficulty now and loving it. Great job on the summary Raxx. It makes getting all the info sunk into my head much easier. DM and Ghazzy did a great job bringing out from the Devs a ton of information of what is happening and coming from GGG. DM is a good one to keep things pulled back to topic and keep things moving.
The thing about the numbering system is if 1 is the highest then when a new top map comes out all everything has to be changed. If you keep it like it is then new maps just add onto the existing hierarchy so much simpler. POE2 is a different game and has a lot more new players who don't know about the POE1 number systems.

its more that they got burned hard with backlash of the last trigger spell nerfs so tehy avoid the backlash by not doing huge nerfhammer build destroying nerfs because they cant afford to repeat that fiasco again
@@Asghaadtrigger spell is still very strong... People complain to much online i think. Ggg has good vision on where to go with the game and what problems to tackle first. Also really awesome they are so open about there approach
@@Asghaad i think it's also partly that dropping the hammer like that in the middle of the season creates an issue of devaluing the half season players spent making certain builds, in both time and currency. i'm sure it's a lot to do with avoiding major backlash but i think it's a curtesy to players to at least make it so you'll already be starting at the ground level by the time the major meta shifting changes are implemented.
I cant believe no one asked about Console performances. My ps5 is getting 20 fps on most of the maps. It is on unplayable state. No one addressing this. PC or Console doesnt matter there is a huge optimization issue and I am shocked that no one asked about it or devs did not address it. Such a shame.
Removal of a % of the total exp from a death feels terrible - You already lose the map and lose the potential resources. Instead, remove the exp only gained from that specific map when you die - seems more fair to me.

@@mrgodogodopaint yup this is a controversial take within the game so we need to see where GGG wanna go with this. I like POE2 to be the more punishing ARPG. Endgame now seems a little too hard at the start and too easy at late endgame. Practically no challenge at all.
As someone who is new to Poe and not familiar with GGG this livestream was amazing to watch. Really feels like GGG just gets it, they know when to listen to the community but also when not to. And they get what makes an arpg fun. Ascension respec is kinda goofy tho. Choosing your ascendancy should be a big deal, not just like putting a point in the passive tree so I hope they don’t add that.
The reason a lot of people want a respec for Ascendancy isn't because they hate permanent choices. It's because you make this super build defining permanent choice in act 2 of the game. You don't even have access to all your skills and now have to make a permanent choice that could end up being a bad choice for your character down the road. People don't like having to make a blind guess that might brick their character about which skills they are going to like and want to focus their build around long before ever getting to use them.
Wouldn’t it be a better approach to let the people still choose their ascendency in Act II, however let them switch for some gold or an specific item (that drops from a special boss or mob or area) and then finalize the decision in the end of the campaign? Thats one way to do it in my mind. In that way you can test around a little bit but still have to lock in to experience the full game.
Regarding the feedback about deaths on maps, we are given 6 portals, so if you still have portals, you should be able to reenter. It will make ppl be more cognitive about when they decide to choose to return to town.
yeah I feel like I'm alone when I say this 1 portal shit is the most retarded thing they have ever done. There are thousands of ways they can do it to make deaths "matter", already have xp removal on death, remove gold aswell if they want that, but holy shit 1 portal is so god damn boring.

DM and Ghazzy did a great job as representatives of the player base. They got all the questions I had and they pressed certain points that players are unhappy about harder than I thought they would. DM was pushing for warriors and Ghazzy said everything I felt about crafting and rarity. The transparency from the devs is also amazing. Very upfront about everything and held nothing back with their honest opinion. If something was crap then they said it was crap. If they screwed up then they said that. 10/10 interview.
Love the fast pacing and just enough discussion on each topic for me to understand and follow. I've been playing Blizzard games for over 2 decades at this point and I'm super impressed with GGG so far. They remind me of Blizzard back when the game masters used to actually reach out to you in game and had character. Last comment, some of the content creators that I used to follow progressively became people-pleasers as their subscriber base grew. They became less likely to express their own opinions on controversial topics, they never took a stand on anything, and just became less interesting to listen to. Don't ever lose your spine Raxx.
They didn't say that you would have 6 portals during the pinnacle bosses. They said that you would have a respawn mechanic. There is a subtle difference.
Having 6 revives is overkill. The game is easy enough where you likely wont ever need 6 lives to bring a boss’s health down to 0. 6 resets, I think is perfect. That way you are given up to 5 attempts to practice a boss’s mechanics instead of just one and farm 50 hours to be able to fight the boss just to die again from another unknown mechanic.
@@CICM_920 totally agreed, most bosses become trivial once you practice their mechanics, but close to impossible to beat without dying on first time seeing them unless you're really overleveled. So it's important to make it a bit easier to practice while not making them easier in general.
I believe they clarified the respawns are intended for lower tier versions of the bosses so you can get a feel for the mechanics. Respawns may not be possible at higher tiers

Great summary, watched live, but glad you took so many notes! About Magic Find - It does not give good results unless you invest into quantity and you get quantity from tablets. After playing a lot in party my guildmate said "You either run rarity on gear or rarity on maps". There's data that shows that there's no much point going over certain rarity and the amount that is worth going for is easy to achieve. Magic find is a gameplay direction, it is same as farming a league mechanic. I can go either full magic find gear and spend a lot of time to prepare maps or I can just get Ritual tablet and get 1-3 audiences per day (I invested into tree). Alternative is I can farm Chaos Trials/Sanctum again with no investment I get stable income. People complaining about magic find don't see much bigger picture behind it. Treat magic find as separate league mechanic.
I think many players would appreciate if death on map doesn't destroy the rewards. A quick fix would be, revive at hideout, don't remove portals and drops that were laying in the map, but remove all the remaining mobs. So, in a sense, the map is bricked, exp were lost but dropped rewards are kept.
nah the 1 portal system is goated. should be punished heavily for dying. makes people stop specing 100% into damage and have to put a bit more thought and sacrifice into gear

@@nucphyschem1 well they stated that they want to make the ground effects and death effects more noticeable in this very patch so that doesn't happen. There needs to be a penalty for dying, and losing exp doesn't matter, it's not a real punishment (for multiple reasons). Losing the drops and the map is essential in my opinion.
people get frustrated if they are dying to stupid shit that are near impossible to dodge or avoid due to whatever reason. if they fixed this, it will be a true legit punishment that is justifiable. so i think it not about the 1 portal thing. pinnacle boss is another thing.

Warframe. market is a 3rd party tool for warframe VERY similar to PoEs official tool, but it also shows the average market price for an item over time. I understand that would be harder given the random modifiers, but still

One answer I disagreed with Mark on was with the progression from campaign to end game. I think he missed the point and that there are players that really enjoy the more tactical multi-button gameplay compared to the one button kill or be killed gameplay found in the current high tier maps and it's too similar to POE1. I think a player can feel super strong without it becoming POE1.
Yeah, now it makes me even more confused what their vision is, it sounding more like they want a slightly slower POE1 not the slow, methodical game I thought they wanted.
It sounded like it'll be like PoE 1 where the they will make new "Leagues" for a new economy where we all start new characters for this new reset. The old characters/economy will stay in "Standard" and just adjust over the years.
One portal maps system doesnt work. In the over punishing and under reqarding system. People saying it does are meta slave rmters that dont even understand how bad the rewards fpr playing the game are.
People can just have different opinions, 1 portal maps are better than 6 portals imo. I hated how you couldn't fail a map in PoE 1 after a certain points even if my character was weak compared to the map. I feel like the main issue isn't 1 portal maps but defenses being in a bad spot right now and one-shots being too frequent. Once they fix these issues, 1 map portals will become much fairer than it is atm.

they need to do some big changes to to classes and leveling if the casual audience is going to continue playing. sinking 30+ hours just to level an alt to around lvl 40-50 is absurd. makes playing other builds a chore.
Not a mega patch. Thers' no changes to issues for classes, gems, no changes to trails that people have been screaming over. It's just stuff for endgame mapping.

@@Asghaad That is certainly your right. The goal of game design is to teach players how to avoid such things slowly and with purpose. I sympathize with your experience(s) on this, but the goal with this change would be to allow players who first enter maps to learn the systems with less harsh penalties, but for players with more time and practice in the endgame to be 'self-rewarded' by learning the mechanics and potentially changing their builds as they go. No one expects to die, but dying is, nonetheless, a mechanic. It would be just as silly to say "I should never die, and never have penalties." I would quit if this was the case. Its about balance, and allowing for learning and rewarding adaptability.

no changes to honor system... yep, im not coming back for a few months longer. i gave up on the game struggling to get my 3rd (5/6th) ascendency points due to honor system making me lose 300 honor on getting hit once with like 40% honor res. my build isint even bad... i melt enemies, but if i get hit before i hit the enemy, gg. my bad, ill just stacks more than 80% evasion kekw. but for real now, honor system is a failed anti fun mechanic as it is now. if anything i think the only way to fail a trial should be by having your hp go down to 0. how to fix it? god know, maybe have it the lower honor you have the less of a bonus you get from blessings and increase negative afflictions on you or smth like that, or just delete honor on god.
79% honor res makes boss hits take only ~100 honor max away, coupled with however much max honor increase you want makes it very easy. You just need to invest about 30 or so exalts to make the whole mechanic stupidly simple and farmable.
You can have 75% honour resistance, +100% max honour and +120% damage to bosses - it made it pretty easy for me and i am coming to fourth part of trial easily without losing honour, but fourth floor still makes me lose half of my 7 thousands honour. You do not need to deal with honour at all - all ascendacy points you can get either on chaos, either on sechem, for chaos - 10 stages for third, and challenge after 10 stages for fourth (and also you can just buy fourth ascendancy for 30-40 exalts and enjoy other parts of the game without thinking about any trials)
So no performance changes or even discussion here. Loot filters for console are good, but it doesn’t matter if the game becomes a slide show. Also I see no discussion about coop UX issues and the tons of bugs with that and the awful end game workflow. So I don’t think this patch or anything they’re discussing does much to help consoles.
7900xtx and 7800x3D and shits still terrible late game. I needs optimization tbh. I shouldn't be dipping to 40-50FPS and the game NOT fully utilizing my graphics card and CPU.
Diablo 4 runs beautifully and it has just as many mobs if more so and with some builds like lightning sorc just as many spell effects without lagging. I prefer the POE customization and character building but it doesn’t matter if the game is not playable. I have lagged out more in end of cruel than i did in all my time playing Diablo.

I think with waystones, you should not be getting T1's in a T15 map. They could add a floor to the level they can drop (say, -3 max Tier or so), it'll end up being a lot better. Also for the Pinnacle bosses, they could just take something from D4. Add breakpoints. Every 25% or 33% HP, they take no or severely reduced damage and they do their mechanics. with this MAASSIVE W of a patch, GGG will be COOKING going forward, and will cement that this game will be the undisputed goat of APRGs.
Honestly would like it if the reforging table can be used on waystones to create the next tier of map and randomize the chance to get affixes on them, just so you could use lower tier maps to potentially create juiced up higher tier maps, while time consuming, it would be nice for those who are either runnin low on currency or would rather take the time to do that than waste their currencies.

You should hide low tier maps if you dont need gold (Those sell for few k gold each if trans+augmented) and also pretty much hide all the bad base rares below like ilvl 75-78. Less looting = more profit/h
I agree with this for EA. I think it should be free so people can test as many builds as they can. I know it's cheaper now, but the entire point of us playing is to find the busted combos, which wont happen if we cant respec at will.
I'm sorry, however playing for over an hour to get to the 4th floor then getting one shot because you didn't run over the time orbs in time despite having 17k honour and full health/mana etc is complete crap. It's enough I'm taking a break from the game and I'm not alone.

Coming from Destiny 2, this is a breath of fresh air seeing how transparent they are with their player base. No excuses or “we need to do better”. They hear us out and agreed to fix things that majority of the players asked for or was transparent on why they can’t make those decisions yet. Amazing dev team
This is not a GOD Tier patch. This is simply a patch that gets the game into a more Playable State. I still believe they need to add 6 portals or fix the multiplayer so that you can revive your friends. The game is not fun in multilplayer when a friend dies.

That's not what they said. They tried some simpler approaches first and those didn't work, it just means that they'll have to take longer to work on more complex solutions to the problem. I have no doubt that they'll be able to fix it before EA is over.
It is kind of a hard problem if you think about it. They have to create a set of rules and conditions that try to predict what action you want your minions to take based on what actions you take, what the terrain is, and what enemies are around. They need to make the minions independent enough that they aren't doing nothing, but controllable enough that the player has to make gameplay choices. Do you have an example of a game where minions always telepathically know what you want them to do and behave perfectly?
So quick note at the start: it is not that you get all 6 portals for the pinnacle boss, it is that you can revive in the map 6 times (and if you bring up to a 6 man party, they all revive when you do).
This is first pass.. I dont think this patch was that good to be honest. I wanna see more content, armor/mace fixed, minons are still shit in maps. And some mechanics the devs didn't even know how it worked think they dropped the ball on some things and should continue to pump out more content then focus out the bugs as they get closer to release instead of allowing a lot of Giga builds to change stay and ruins the economy.
Difference in expectations doesn't mean this patch isn't good. While this patch is not the balancing patch that many of us have expected, it does fix a lot of the major pain points while adding a bunch of QoL.
Dude the mace has nothing to fix. It is intended to be the slowest melee weapon. The fast melee weapons will be daggers, swords and axes (from faster to slower).
What's wrong with minions in maps? Yeah you aren't going to do Breach very well, but that's why you focus on other things that suit the playstyle better like Expedition, Sanctum or bossing. If your issue is that Breach is the only activity worth doing that's a balance issue with the farms not a minion issue

The end game is absolutely boring. They recycle maps from the campaign. They have a ton of dead ends. I hope they get update the endgame then these little changes.
"Something truly game breaking should be fixed immediately"...and here they are...fixing nothing with this patch. No temporalis nerf, no stat stacking nerf, no bell nerf, no spark nerf, no archmage nerf, no pconc nerf, no vine arrow nerf, no herald of ice nerf...etcetc. Waste of time. The only 'MAJOR' thing about this patch is disappointment.

Quick swap between kb/m and controller is the best news ever. Being able to map w controller and then inv manage w kbm is a qol that is sorely needed.

True, but my biggest issue was the stupid purple balls that continue to follow you around and wait for you to stop moving and loot before they expload
This solves the biggest issue however. People dying "after they kill the boss" losing all the loot that drops from the boss.

Same to me I've played poe 1 only on act 1. With diff. Build and that's it. But now on Poe 2 I'm on act 3 cruel difficulty never imagined I've come this far. As a casual player I've loved this game ,challenging yet fun. Hopefully try the Endgame

@ISeeTheLightss it filters the items in game to make them much easier to recognize quickly. Different colors and borders are also implemented so you can quickly know what dropped without sifting through piece by piece.
Basically it just saves you a lot of time, especially in endgame.

Great job on the summary Raxx. It makes getting all the info sunk into my head much easier. DM and Ghazzy did a great job bringing out from the Devs a ton of information of what is happening and coming from GGG. DM is a good one to keep things pulled back to topic and keep things moving.
The thing about the numbering system is if 1 is the highest then when a new top map comes out all everything has to be changed. If you keep it like it is then new maps just add onto the existing hierarchy so much simpler. POE2 is a different game and has a lot more new players who don't know about the POE1 number systems.

@@Asghaad i think it's also partly that dropping the hammer like that in the middle of the season creates an issue of devaluing the half season players spent making certain builds, in both time and currency. i'm sure it's a lot to do with avoiding major backlash but i think it's a curtesy to players to at least make it so you'll already be starting at the ground level by the time the major meta shifting changes are implemented.

I cant believe no one asked about Console performances. My ps5 is getting 20 fps on most of the maps. It is on unplayable state. No one addressing this. PC or Console doesnt matter there is a huge optimization issue and I am shocked that no one asked about it or devs did not address it. Such a shame.

Removal of a % of the total exp from a death feels terrible - You already lose the map and lose the potential resources.
Instead, remove the exp only gained from that specific map when you die - seems more fair to me.

As someone who is new to Poe and not familiar with GGG this livestream was amazing to watch. Really feels like GGG just gets it, they know when to listen to the community but also when not to. And they get what makes an arpg fun.
Ascension respec is kinda goofy tho. Choosing your ascendancy should be a big deal, not just like putting a point in the passive tree so I hope they don’t add that.
The reason a lot of people want a respec for Ascendancy isn't because they hate permanent choices. It's because you make this super build defining permanent choice in act 2 of the game. You don't even have access to all your skills and now have to make a permanent choice that could end up being a bad choice for your character down the road.
People don't like having to make a blind guess that might brick their character about which skills they are going to like and want to focus their build around long before ever getting to use them.
Wouldn’t it be a better approach to let the people still choose their ascendency in Act II, however let them switch for some gold or an specific item (that drops from a special boss or mob or area) and then finalize the decision in the end of the campaign? Thats one way to do it in my mind.
In that way you can test around a little bit but still have to lock in to experience the full game.

Regarding the feedback about deaths on maps, we are given 6 portals, so if you still have portals, you should be able to reenter. It will make ppl be more cognitive about when they decide to choose to return to town.
That's what I've said, if you die, it should cost you a portal, not the whole map
they just explicitly said that they want deaths to matter and not just something that could be scoffed at

DM and Ghazzy did a great job as representatives of the player base. They got all the questions I had and they pressed certain points that players are unhappy about harder than I thought they would. DM was pushing for warriors and Ghazzy said everything I felt about crafting and rarity. The transparency from the devs is also amazing. Very upfront about everything and held nothing back with their honest opinion. If something was crap then they said it was crap. If they screwed up then they said that. 10/10 interview.

I've been playing Blizzard games for over 2 decades at this point and I'm super impressed with GGG so far. They remind me of Blizzard back when the game masters used to actually reach out to you in game and had character.
Last comment, some of the content creators that I used to follow progressively became people-pleasers as their subscriber base grew. They became less likely to express their own opinions on controversial topics, they never took a stand on anything, and just became less interesting to listen to. Don't ever lose your spine Raxx.
They didn't say that you would have 6 portals during the pinnacle bosses. They said that you would have a respawn mechanic. There is a subtle difference.
Having 6 revives is overkill. The game is easy enough where you likely wont ever need 6 lives to bring a boss’s health down to 0. 6 resets, I think is perfect. That way you are given up to 5 attempts to practice a boss’s mechanics instead of just one and farm 50 hours to be able to fight the boss just to die again from another unknown mechanic.
@@CICM_920 totally agreed, most bosses become trivial once you practice their mechanics, but close to impossible to beat without dying on first time seeing them unless you're really overleveled. So it's important to make it a bit easier to practice while not making them easier in general.
6 respawns is absurd 😂 learn mechanics and regear is the fix
I believe they clarified the respawns are intended for lower tier versions of the bosses so you can get a feel for the mechanics. Respawns may not be possible at higher tiers

Great summary, watched live, but glad you took so many notes! About Magic Find - It does not give good results unless you invest into quantity and you get quantity from tablets. After playing a lot in party my guildmate said "You either run rarity on gear or rarity on maps". There's data that shows that there's no much point going over certain rarity and the amount that is worth going for is easy to achieve. Magic find is a gameplay direction, it is same as farming a league mechanic. I can go either full magic find gear and spend a lot of time to prepare maps or I can just get Ritual tablet and get 1-3 audiences per day (I invested into tree). Alternative is I can farm Chaos Trials/Sanctum again with no investment I get stable income. People complaining about magic find don't see much bigger picture behind it. Treat magic find as separate league mechanic.

As a Software Developer i'm super impressed on how fast they are making these changes.
I think many players would appreciate if death on map doesn't destroy the rewards. A quick fix would be, revive at hideout, don't remove portals and drops that were laying in the map, but remove all the remaining mobs. So, in a sense, the map is bricked, exp were lost but dropped rewards are kept.
nah the 1 portal system is goated. should be punished heavily for dying. makes people stop specing 100% into damage and have to put a bit more thought and sacrifice into gear

@@nucphyschem1 well they stated that they want to make the ground effects and death effects more noticeable in this very patch so that doesn't happen. There needs to be a penalty for dying, and losing exp doesn't matter, it's not a real punishment (for multiple reasons). Losing the drops and the map is essential in my opinion.
people get frustrated if they are dying to stupid shit that are near impossible to dodge or avoid due to whatever reason. if they fixed this, it will be a true legit punishment that is justifiable. so i think it not about the 1 portal thing.

Any talks about the trade situation? Felt strange that there was no mentions of the trading. Not talking about auction house question. But where people but items for 1ex to lure people to put the same and snipe em.
GGG is extremely against auctions because there are more cons than pros.
For example, bots will snipe 1ex baits instantly :)

Warframe. market is a 3rd party tool for warframe VERY similar to PoEs official tool, but it also shows the average market price for an item over time. I understand that would be harder given the random modifiers, but still

One answer I disagreed with Mark on was with the progression from campaign to end game. I think he missed the point and that there are players that really enjoy the more tactical multi-button gameplay compared to the one button kill or be killed gameplay found in the current high tier maps and it's too similar to POE1. I think a player can feel super strong without it becoming POE1.
Yeah, now it makes me even more confused what their vision is, it sounding more like they want a slightly slower POE1 not the slow, methodical game I thought they wanted.

What does "economy reset" mean exactly? Everyone loses their currency?
Means a new season/league where everyone starts over.
Everything will be reset, all characters will go to a different league, and cannot interact with the current league
Lose everything. Start over at level 1. That's how these games work. You start over a lot trying new builds
It sounded like it'll be like PoE 1 where the they will make new "Leagues" for a new economy where we all start new characters for this new reset. The old characters/economy will stay in "Standard" and just adjust over the years.

One portal maps system doesnt work. In the over punishing and under reqarding system. People saying it does are meta slave rmters that dont even understand how bad the rewards fpr playing the game are.
People can just have different opinions, 1 portal maps are better than 6 portals imo. I hated how you couldn't fail a map in PoE 1 after a certain points even if my character was weak compared to the map.
I feel like the main issue isn't 1 portal maps but defenses being in a bad spot right now and one-shots being too frequent. Once they fix these issues, 1 map portals will become much fairer than it is atm.

@@Asghaad That is certainly your right. The goal of game design is to teach players how to avoid such things slowly and with purpose. I sympathize with your experience(s) on this, but the goal with this change would be to allow players who first enter maps to learn the systems with less harsh penalties, but for players with more time and practice in the endgame to be 'self-rewarded' by learning the mechanics and potentially changing their builds as they go.
No one expects to die, but dying is, nonetheless, a mechanic. It would be just as silly to say "I should never die, and never have penalties." I would quit if this was the case. Its about balance, and allowing for learning and rewarding adaptability.

i gave up on the game struggling to get my 3rd (5/6th) ascendency points due to honor system making me lose 300 honor on getting hit once with like 40% honor res. my build isint even bad... i melt enemies, but if i get hit before i hit the enemy, gg.
my bad, ill just stacks more than 80% evasion kekw.
but for real now, honor system is a failed anti fun mechanic as it is now. if anything i think the only way to fail a trial should be by having your hp go down to 0. how to fix it? god know, maybe have it the lower honor you have the less of a bonus you get from blessings and increase negative afflictions on you or smth like that, or just delete honor on god.
Get 75% hon res makes it a cake walk
Imagine getting filtered by the easiest league in PoE2
79% honor res makes boss hits take only ~100 honor max away, coupled with however much max honor increase you want makes it very easy. You just need to invest about 30 or so exalts to make the whole mechanic stupidly simple and farmable.
Skill issue as it is
You can have 75% honour resistance, +100% max honour and +120% damage to bosses - it made it pretty easy for me and i am coming to fourth part of trial easily without losing honour, but fourth floor still makes me lose half of my 7 thousands honour.
You do not need to deal with honour at all - all ascendacy points you can get either on chaos, either on sechem, for chaos - 10 stages for third, and challenge after 10 stages for fourth
(and also you can just buy fourth ascendancy for 30-40 exalts and enjoy other parts of the game without thinking about any trials)

So no performance changes or even discussion here. Loot filters for console are good, but it doesn’t matter if the game becomes a slide show. Also I see no discussion about coop UX issues and the tons of bugs with that and the awful end game workflow. So I don’t think this patch or anything they’re discussing does much to help consoles.
Console will always be a struggle for games like this. Might aswell get a pc
7900xtx and 7800x3D and shits still terrible late game. I needs optimization tbh. I shouldn't be dipping to 40-50FPS and the game NOT fully utilizing my graphics card and CPU.
Diablo 4 runs beautifully and it has just as many mobs if more so and with some builds like lightning sorc just as many spell effects without lagging. I prefer the POE customization and character building but it doesn’t matter if the game is not playable. I have lagged out more in end of cruel than i did in all my time playing Diablo.

I think with waystones, you should not be getting T1's in a T15 map. They could add a floor to the level they can drop (say, -3 max Tier or so), it'll end up being a lot better. Also for the Pinnacle bosses, they could just take something from D4. Add breakpoints. Every 25% or 33% HP, they take no or severely reduced damage and they do their mechanics. with this MAASSIVE W of a patch, GGG will be COOKING going forward, and will cement that this game will be the undisputed goat of APRGs.
Honestly would like it if the reforging table can be used on waystones to create the next tier of map and randomize the chance to get affixes on them, just so you could use lower tier maps to potentially create juiced up higher tier maps, while time consuming, it would be nice for those who are either runnin low on currency or would rather take the time to do that than waste their currencies.
@@AzaelAkai you can use the reforge for waystones, 3 of the same level and rarity and it will forge the next level up based on the rarity used.

You should hide low tier maps if you dont need gold (Those sell for few k gold each if trans+augmented) and also pretty much hide all the bad base rares below like ilvl 75-78.

This is not a GOD Tier patch. This is simply a patch that gets the game into a more Playable State.
I still believe they need to add 6 portals or fix the multiplayer so that you can revive your friends. The game is not fun in multilplayer when a friend dies.

That's not what they said. They tried some simpler approaches first and those didn't work, it just means that they'll have to take longer to work on more complex solutions to the problem. I have no doubt that they'll be able to fix it before EA is over.
It is kind of a hard problem if you think about it. They have to create a set of rules and conditions that try to predict what action you want your minions to take based on what actions you take, what the terrain is, and what enemies are around. They need to make the minions independent enough that they aren't doing nothing, but controllable enough that the player has to make gameplay choices. Do you have an example of a game where minions always telepathically know what you want them to do and behave perfectly?

So quick note at the start: it is not that you get all 6 portals for the pinnacle boss, it is that you can revive in the map 6 times (and if you bring up to a 6 man party, they all revive when you do).
Patch was overhyped. It is nice and all, but I think I’ll wait for skill nerfs/buffs. Also new skills and weapons.

This is first pass.. I dont think this patch was that good to be honest. I wanna see more content, armor/mace fixed, minons are still shit in maps. And some mechanics the devs didn't even know how it worked think they dropped the ball on some things and should continue to pump out more content then focus out the bugs as they get closer to release instead of allowing a lot of Giga builds to change stay and ruins the economy.
Difference in expectations doesn't mean this patch isn't good.
While this patch is not the balancing patch that many of us have expected, it does fix a lot of the major pain points while adding a bunch of QoL.
Dude the mace has nothing to fix. It is intended to be the slowest melee weapon. The fast melee weapons will be daggers, swords and axes (from faster to slower).

What's wrong with minions in maps? Yeah you aren't going to do Breach very well, but that's why you focus on other things that suit the playstyle better like Expedition, Sanctum or bossing. If your issue is that Breach is the only activity worth doing that's a balance issue with the farms not a minion issue

The end game is absolutely boring. They recycle maps from the campaign. They have a ton of dead ends. I hope they get update the endgame then these little changes.

No temporalis nerf, no stat stacking nerf, no bell nerf, no spark nerf, no archmage nerf, no pconc nerf, no vine arrow nerf, no herald of ice nerf...etcetc. Waste of time. The only 'MAJOR' thing about this patch is disappointment.

I just realized today that POE2 doesn't even have the auction house. Trading is now even more challenging on console
How is it now more challenging when it was never there in the first place?
The forced trading/lack of orb drops is why I stopped playing. Doing t6 maps for 6 hrs and getting 3 exalted orbs was the final straw

@@thekingsig2153 There is literally no forced trading in the game. There exists an option to force yourself to NOT trade, actually... called SSF
