Casey's search history: "How to kill my daughter." Casey's diary: "I'm so glad I killed my daughter." The jury: "Yeah, but like... you can't *prove* it."
@BigDBobo a very narrow frame of mind. Her defense team implanted enough doubt that they came to a very startling conclusion. Simps and feminist argument is the last refuge of a narrow and basic mind.
I watched the whole trail. She murdered her daughter. She was hidden enough to totally decompose. The kicker is she said her father sexually abused her. This woman has no heart
@@christinekelly8766 well, according to the people whose opinion actually mattered she didn’t. Not saying she didn’t, but just cause u dump a body doesn’t mean u killed it. If u watched the whole trial you’d know that her defense was caylee drowned in the pool, Casey’s father blamed it on Casey and got mad at her and told her to cover it up.
It wasn't just that Casey killed her daughter because she "wanted to party" it was that Casey was a complete and utter remorseless narcissist and I imagine she grew to resent, hate, and ultimately blame her daughter for everything wrong with her life. Casey spent her entire life lying to avoid responsibility and becoming a parent is the _ultimate responsibility._ It's not surprising that Casey did whatever she felt she needed to do to be free of what she probably considered a massive weight, a roadblock to her happiness. She was probably also tired of "everything being about Kaylee" and no longer about Casey. It's clear she didn't see her daughter as a human being as much as a burden and an obstacle.
@@skullkid692 do you honestly believe that the kid drowned in the pool? How is it even possible to trust a single word that comes out of someone who has so blatantly lied about everything?
@@skullkid692 except you don't even need to listen to the prosecution itself to determine that Casey truly is a narcissistic child in an adult body with the natural ability to lie and show little remorse for the fact that her daughter was dead. The evidence clearly shows how indifferent she was to her daughter's disappearance. The fact that she couldn't give investigators ANY information on the woman whom had supposedly been babysitting Cayley for so long. The fact that she kept lying outright to investigators about where she worked, who she worked with, and where Cayley might be. Simply looking at the evidence shows that Casey did NOT care about her daughter in the slightest.
That she didn’t hesitate one second to absolutely destroy her father’s life with blatant lies, all to ensure she paid no consequences for her actions, speaks more than volumes.
And he PAID FOR HER DEFENSE. They created this monster & they know it. They idolized their daughter so much that they excused their granddaughter's murder.
“Who would kill their daughter just to party, jury wouldn’t believe that” Well, who on earth would lead two detectives to a Universal building claiming that was their workplace just to stop, turn around and say that they’ve lied?
And what motive would anyone have to do that, other than they've given a bunch of false info to the police. And what motive would you have to give a bunch of false info to the police if you're not guilty??
I know! I hate how Bruce said, “that’s a stretch” when by this time at least 3 mothers in high profile cases were convicted of killing their kids because they wanted a different life. It’s not a stretch at all.
The worst part is all she had to do instead of murdering her daughter, was to take her to her own parents and say "I can't do this anymore, you take her". If she didn't want to stand by and watch someone else raise her child, she could have run off somewhere, started a new life. Anything, other than this

I think I would as well. With everything we know, she definitely did it. But, I wasn't in the courtroom to hear all the evidence. The only evidence and testimony I'm privy to are what's in the media.
It's not talked about much but the prosecution also made several mistakes. They got overconfident and weren't careful enough in evidence gathering and presentation
It’s been years and I’m still so damn livid about how they lied on her father in court. Her beautiful, loving, generous, kind, protective gem of a father. I would kill to have had a father like George Anthony. The way she allowed her attorney to lie and disparage him and tarnish his name and reputation disgusts me. I can’t even listen to it.
I agree. I'm so angry at her attorney for getting her off by all his lies, What a snake. The judge refused to address the issue of her father abusing her, the lawyer should be disbarred.
I truly believe EVERYONE has the right to a defense attorney. However Jose Baez is a fucking demon and he'll rot in hell for that cruel, wicked, indefensible lie.
I once had a 'Casey" in my life. I was extremely naive and totally clueless about this type of person. She spun through my life like a tornado, leaving chaos and destruction behind her. I was incredibly fortunate to have people in my life at that moment who recognized the type and 'rescued' me. Watching Casey gives me the heeby-geebies.

The defense lawyer was as good as the law enforcement and prosecution managed to demonstrate total incompetence in collecting evidence and building a solid case to be able to prove her guilt. And that is the crux of the problem, the state far too often gets easy convictions with garbage evidence and garbage prosecution, and plea deals. Then, when you get a more serious case, they f*** it up. Those police officers interrogating Cassey were absolute morons. And if during the interview they were so insanely dumb, I am pretty sure their ability to collect evidence andhelp the prosecution build a case was equally bad. What an absolute joke of law enforcement and prosecution. Poor girl, may she rest in peace.
Even if she died in a swimming pool which I don’t believe her daughters memory was dishonoured the moment she wrapped up her tiny body and threw her INTO A SWAMP. How she can behave like this knowing exactly where her daughters body was and what was happening to it is mind blowing!!!!!
The area she was when she would have been first put there was swamp. By the time she was found the area had completely dried. It’s pretty typical for the weather to create smaller swampy areas during the months when there is more rain and then dry out the rest of the year. It’s one of the reasons her body was so decomposed when they found it. The wet and warmth accelerated the decomposition speed otherwise there might have been some more evidence they could have worked with.
LENGTHY BUT GOOD INFO: Everyone either forgot or didn't know this, but as a Floridian, I know this for a fact: They would have found Caylee sooner if Tropical Storm Fay hadn't stalled over Florida, dumping over 20" of rain in the Melbourne area. (Melbourne is 45 minutes east of Orlando.) T.S. Fay formed Friday August 15, 2008, and first made landfall Monday the 18. She made landfall again on August 19th, then she stalled for 48 hours, then she made landfall for the 3rd time on August 21, and the 4th time was on August 23. She finally left Florida on August 24, 2008. Let that sink in... The whole area of Orlando was under 20" of rain, which helped the murderer (whom many still think it was Casey) with the decomposition, and hindered searchers. We get plenty of warnings from the time a storm forms until after it leaves, so Caylee had been dead for 2 months, rotting in that car in the Florida heat. The evidence the prosecution showed included the duct tape, Casey's car was abandoned in a parking lot, later impounded, video in Target* showing her picking up alcohol and groceries (but no Pull-Ups or any kind of toddler things), her dad smelled the scent of death in her trunk (circumstantial because he said "Caylee was here" in his testimony), her partying, she didn't call the police within 24 hours, etc. * I mentioned the Target trip because she was supposedly picking up Caylee later that afternoon from the nonexistent nanny. Caylee's remains were found mid to late December by a utility worker. Even though the defense did their job, the fact is Caylee would have turned 15 this year, and would still be alive had Casey not been involved in her death, directly or indirectly.
I cannot fathom the annihilating shock and heartbreak her father felt when he heard the defense say (and realized that Casey had therefore capitalized on the claim) that he had put his 'penis in her mouth'... Words fail to describe the sheer unthinkable treachery she perpetrated on a father who had spent her entire life 'over-loving' and overprotecting her from every other possible earned consequence.

I don’t think the defense created reasonable doubt. I just think the state was missing crucial info like cause/date of death & murder weapon, which wasn’t their fault. Casey’s lies drew the investigation out so long that the forensic evidence was gone. The state did screw up by not giving the jury the option of a lesser charge.

The phone calls to her mother are eerie. She knows they are the worried grandparents, knows where their dead granddaughter is, and still plays games and accuses her dad of SAing her. And then asks him for help again. I don't doubt that something must have happened in Casey's life that changed her brain, but her behaviour is bizarre.
Not necessarily. Some people are born psychopaths. She is obviously one of them, and the pampered childhood free of responsibility for her actions just supercharged her psychopathic traits.
The prosecution is who failed in this case. The defense was very good at their job and that is what they did - their job. Our legal system ensures the right to representation, and the representation has a moral obligation to advocate for their client. The prosecution depended on smearing her character rather than proving the facts. If they didn't have the facts to prove first degree murder, they should never have gone for the death penalty. They overreached when they could have easily proven something like neglect that led to death (whether it was from direct violence by Casey or from abandoning her child with a "nanny" and not trying to find her). It's so infuriating.
I think the whole system is flawed or the jury are literally morons. One second he tells the jury the child drowned, next minute he wraps it all up saying we'll never know how she died
I can see why she found not not guilty especially since there was no definite cause of death but I don't understand why the prosecution didn't charge her with a bunch of other crimes like endangering a child or abuse of a corpse.
Seriously! Like even if your kid dies from a complete accident, hiding their body in your trunk and dumping it in a swamp and then telling the police she's missing seems like it must be a crime in itself.

Okay bear with me because this does connect: My cat was a stray living in our backyard before we took him in. We’ve had him indoors for eight years now. He escaped the house this summer and was loose in the backyard for a month. He’s already lived in the yard before. We spotted him out there a dozen times before we caught him again. I knew where he was. I could not function for those thirty days he was outside. I spent hours every day looking and calling for him. I trekked outside at three in the morning in the pitch black climbing through brambles while it was pouring rain calling him. I walked the neighborhood alone at night calling him. I typed up fliers and put them in mailboxes all over the place. I couldn’t sleep at all. And you’re telling me her lying, partying, tattooing, grinning ear to ear for a month after her THREE YEAR OLD BABY GIRL went missing ass is reasonably not guilty? Nope. Sorry. I knew she was guilty in 2008 before I had my first baby. I knew it in 2011 when my baby was three. And I know it even more now. Caylee was not given an ounce of justice .

My first thought when they said Caylee drowned in a pool, my first thought was "So the body, bag, blanket, and car trunk were tested for chlorine right?"
Awesome stuff as always, Bruce! I remember the Casey Anthony case & trial like they were yesterday. One case you should break down as the trial unfolds is The United States vs. Ghislane Maxwell. Especially since there’s a lack of media coverage. I had the privilege of sitting on my county’s grand jury recently, and it was quite an eye opening experience to see how everything works.

Well, narcissism is not a condition that would exempt you from due process. At the same time, narcissism is not in itself proof of guilt. I bet everyone involved in that trial -Baez included - must hate the outcome. I'm just amazed no vigilante has ever taken justice into their own hands.
Because none of the things wrong with her are things that can get you off the hook for murder, and that's what those mental health professionals were screening her for. Neither narcissism nor antisocial personality disorder (which are probably the two most likely two diagnoses she might have received) are relevant within a *legal* context, and that was the context in which she was being evaluated.
Psychopaths and narcissists, at least the high-level ones like her, know how to fool people. They actually use therapy to learn how to better imitate a person with empathy and normal feelings. It also helps them know how to manipulate and psychologically ab*se others.
Doctors will say whatever you want if you pay them enough. Ever have a workers comp injury? The employers doctor will blame it on everything else besides what actually caused it.
She's a pro at side-stepping any kind of confrontational approach and reframing it as a team effort with a shared goal. As ridiculous as it sounds at times, you know she has to be doing something right. You can see her just toying with people and them being the ones worn down while she seems to feed off of it.
Notice how she often answers early to agree without even listening to the question. You can see his mind flailing trying to work some angle, but she's given him nothing of sincerity that he can even begin to leverage. The guy is probably overconfident from getting confessions from the past from other people, and she is just taking this dude to town like a matador at a bullfight.
When he asks her at the end if she will sit down with him with her lawyer... It's pathetic, like watching a guy get rejected for a date or something. You can tell he's just so defeated and willing to grasp at any straw.
Whenever you have someone that is acting that superficial, and you try to come at them with the strategy of being more emotionally invested than they are... you're going to look foolish EVERY TIME. All they have to do is give you that fake smile and leave you hanging, basically. I think some comedian once said it like, you can't beat passive-aggressive with aggressive.

There’s a couple of things I don’t understand. When Cayley was found her Winnie the Pooh blanket, duct tape around her head covering her mouth and the “exact” clothing she wore when the family last saw her, wouldn’t that at least “suggest” her little life was snuffed out by her mother from hell? For me the distinct odor of of a decaying body in Casey’s car while she was still driving it should prove Cayley wasn’t handed off to anyone, much less a baby sitter. If Cindy did what parents around the world do everyday, “DISCIPLINE OUR CHILDREN” her granddaughter would be alive today. Insinuating George had sexually assaulted Casey saved her azz.
CLR Bruce, I absolutly love your videos and felt every second of watching this! And all just because she had the better manipulator as her defensive counsel, affecting the jury.. Going further on this base, "I could" violate a lot of crimes in the states and avoid any penalty, just by the simple fact that I got more money and pay a better manipulator, making someone in the jury doubting the explicitness of the case.. I respect your system of law, but doubt that justice was delivered in this case.
She did get punished. She got 4 counts of lying to the police. The max is 1 year for each count. She already had served 2.5, prior to the case so she built up good time. She only had a couple days to do after the trial was finished and she was free.
CLR Bruce Rivers, I have been watching your channel since you started talking about the Depp VS. Heard trial and I find your channel to be totally awesome ! You are a wonderful lawyer ! Very informative !
The fact that she waited so long to report her child missing is what makes her guilty in my eyes . And if I was the prosecutor I would keep that in their minds throughout the whole court case. That would b my argument.
I would have implored the jury: If Kaylee died by drowning, why would she have a ton of duct tape wrapped around her face?? But I don't envy those jurors. They had death threats against them when Casey went free.
@@FishKev The problem is there is no 100% evidence. There weren't any witnesses or recordings of the suspect committing the crime. This leaves the jury with 0 certain evidence. Lies, diary entries, photos, etc. are all evidence that implies that she is guilty, but doesn't prove it. There are plenty of cases where totally innocent people got their lives ruined for a crime that they never committed, and to avoid these situations as much as possible, the legal system made it so you need bulletproof evidence (beyond any reasonable doubt), to prove that a suspect is guilty. I don't understand why people get enraged by the juries decision. In that case, imagine if somebody killed a person and edited you into photos with the corpse. And slid a diary into your bag, where you supposedly write that you killed the victim. The killer then gets access to your computer and searches "How to kill a person" and "how to dispose of body". Isn't it illegale to lie to the cups and send them on a wild goose chase like she did? Also bloody disgusting that they through the father under the bus like that.
Everyone has the right to legal representation, and that right must be absolute, (it can't be granted on a case by case basis as that would require judgment of innocence or guilt without a trial which would violate due process). In the end, if the person is truly guilty, all the lawyer can do is give their client's side of the story (i.e: speak on behalf of their client because a client has not studied law and knows nothing about trial and courtroom procedure), rest their case and let the chips fall where they may. It's a necessary right in a functional free society.

I still believe whole-heartedly that she murdered that baby and should never see the light of day, but I no longer blame the jury or think it was handled badly. I followed this case very closely. For the life of me I do not know how she walked away from the murder of her daughter. I still think Casey’s mother, specifically, and her dad knows/knew a lot more than they ever revealed. CA is a very sick, unstable person!
I always had wish that her family would have given her Tony's number and let her call Tony because I would have loved to have heard that conversation and what she said to him about her child having been missing and her continuing on with her life and I've always felt like it was such an enormous mistake that they did not give her his number... I can't fathom the evidence that would have come out of that phone call
She just makes me so furious. The fact she got away scot free just makes me so mad. I’ll never understand it. She lied so much. How could they let her off like that? I’ll never freaking understand it. Never. Her POOR PARENTS. She just went out there and said her dad molested her and did all this to her kid? How can she even live with herself after that? Can you imagine what her parents are going through after this?? I would literally never speak to her again after this. Even after she was out of jail. She would be dead to me if I was her parents.

Damn, can you sue that lawyer for tarnishing father's reputation in such an major way? Also it's just so funny how much defense talks about people using emotion against the accused, when defense was pretty much solely constructed around *very* shaky theories designed to tug at emotions.
TY, I was looking for that comment. What I don't get, and no one is talking about, is the horrible accusation by CA's lawyer, that her father was RAPPING her when she was young... while her father and mother are quietly sitting in the courtroom and listening to this! ACCEPTING basically to be dragged in the mud??? I DON'T GET IT. Obviously it's a lie from the lawyer to gain sympathy for CA and to explain why she lies all the time... but how can her parents, after everything they have done for her, support her, helping her with Caley (that's what CA tell them while in jail)... how can they COMPLY with that defense?? And not come forward and say it's total BS! It's the only time CA can't even hold crying, while her lawyer is stating that horrible accusation, because she's so ashamed to tarnish her dad, but it's necessary to her defense. It makes no sense, because her mother wouldn't be sitting next to her father if it was true, and shouldn't support CA if it's not. They even comply with the drowning theory and that they all covered it???? I don't get all that... they should have been key witnesses for Caley.

The result of this case was discussing 😢 I can’t believe how after all those testimonies and videos she managed to get out. I’ve seen people being put away with less evidence … it’s beyond me how this happened
Evidence was clear enough to persuade nearly any person at all. The diary, the google searches, the blatant lieing, refusing to call the police, the lack of care, the stone cold and irritated behaviour each time her child was brought up in a conversation. It all just adds up too well to show that she had undoubtedly something to do with the murder.
God i dont know how defense attorneys do this. One persons priority is finding a dead child the other persons priority is to defend a child murderer and get angry at detectives for wanting to find a corpse
I feel like being a lawyer, especially a defense lawyer has to weight heavily on the person individual morals. While the prosecutors should always 100% follow the law and the book, at the end of the day we are taking about the life and death of a child. Prosecutors in this case did do shady things which is probably why she ended up walking, but idek maybe it’s just literally me but I would choose the truth and the chance of saving someone’s life, over winning a case on technicalities. Money talks though, very loudly.
The prosecution has no power to save a life (outside maybe preventing a repeat offence). All they can generally do is ruin another and spend a buttload of taxpayer money doing it.
I like how it's always framed as "defense lawyers are evil, they help criminals" instead of "prosecutors and investigators failed to produce enough evidence". As a defence lawyer it's your responsibility to represent your client to the best of your ability, otherwise you should drop the client. Playing on prosecutors team is a nice way to get disbarred
Nah, the same type of person Casey is, the lawyer was as well, he will sleep better at night knowing he won a case and got more power and wealth. He probably knows she killed her daughter and flexes it behind closed doors with his law pals.
Mr. Rivers, I absolutely LOVE your show, and you and your swearing! You seem like such a real person and real people swear more often than not. Plus, I like the way you see thru the bullshit and call it like it is, no holds barred. And, your stance on" putting your hands on a woman, talking about your case, innocent or guilty, and speaking to the police with requesting a lawyer is PRICELESS!" I always used to think if one was innocent, what did one have to fear?? You have "shown me the way!" Thank you for all you do!
Can you imagine Caylee’s frightened little face, and the horror she felt, when her mother was wrapping duct face around her head and mouth in Florida’s hot June temperature? You know Cayley cried, or at least pleaded with her eyes as her mother stole her breath. Only then, was Casey finally free to put on her make up, have sex and live the “Good Life.” She could have left her with her grandparents, but after Cindy put her foot down and told Casey she had to assume more responsibility for Caylee it was over. Casey knew Cindy would cut off her money, a car and a place to live if Casey didn’t stay home sometimes and take of her daughter. So Casey did what she’s always done, she lied like a trooper and removed the obstacle that was in her way.
I just pray she was actually asleep/unconscious before that happened. Casey must have drugged her many times so I hope with all my heart that Caylee had no idea and no fear at all.
I wholeheartedly believe this is exactly how it happened. I also hope that Caylee was not aware and that George has some peace after creating the monster who turned on him in open court and sat there and took the blame. I hope every night he dreams of him and Caylee playing and running around. I hope she is growing in his dreams. I hope he gets to be reunited with her one day. I hope Casey rots in eternal torturous hell.
Out of the three options: 1) Casey killed Caylee intentionally; 2) Casey's actions of duct-taping Caylee's mouth, etc caused the death, but while utterly cruel and abusive, death wasn't her motive (I personally think she drugged Caylee and taped her mouth shut to get her out of the way for a bit--my god, even typing that as a potential thought someone could have is horrific); or 3) Caylee truly died by accident and Casey had nothing to do with it (not the case). Either way, her daughter died and Casey was glad. Casey's reaction, response, behavior, etc were completely inappropriate, bizarre, and cold. I believe Casey did it--although I go back and forth over whether it was Murder 1 or Negligent Homicide/Manslaughter (whatever the exact language is) due to her actions. But again, either way, Casey was happy Caylee was gone. And the prosecution failed. they didn't do their job and prove the case. It should have been an easy guilty verdict. Caylee would be just a couple of months away from her 17th birthday if not for her "mother." Ugh. Horrible.
Casey's search history: "How to kill my daughter."
Casey's diary: "I'm so glad I killed my daughter."

This guy is a disgusting human being
Don’t forget the duct tape over her mouth ☹️
She wasn't in a swamp she laid her on top of the ground in the woods pretty much around the corner from the Anthony home
LENGTHY BUT GOOD INFO:
Everyone either forgot or didn't know this, but as a Floridian, I know this for a fact:
They would have found Caylee sooner if Tropical Storm Fay hadn't stalled over Florida, dumping over 20" of rain in the Melbourne area. (Melbourne is 45 minutes east of Orlando.)
Her father hates her. He has disowned this POS daughter.
When I heard about the “sucking her dads dick “ blew my mind.
Caley is dead, and there is nothing they can do to get her back, and they don't wanna lose their child
They created, coddled, and then enabled that “heinous monster.” In the end they reaped what they had sown.
No fuck that, the defence lawyer manipulated and tricked the jury fucking pos saved her purely to advance their career
THIS. 100%
Yes! Totally agree!
Yeah people say the Jury failed but nah. It's the State fault they had no proof, Lying and getting a tattoo isn't proof
@@externaldriver It's very Chris Watts behavior.
I can’t agree with that. She was easily guilty. That she wasn’t found guilty blew my mind. No definite cause of death? There was duct tape on her skull for christ sake.

Okay bear with me because this does connect:
My cat was a stray living in our backyard before we took him in.
That poor baby never had a chance...She's in Good Hands now.,,.

You’re reading too much into this. What you’re seeing is the satisfaction of a job well done. Frankly, I’m not surprised that this is unfamiliar to you
I lived through and watched this case. That is not how the majority of law abiding citizens felt about her lawyer.
The world knows what she did, and they will never forget it, or her. 🔥
I agree. It would be fascinating to hear Bruce's take on Ghislaine Maxwell.
I got a grand jury letter but im a felon and don’t qualify im bummed and here it was once a month or once a week on Wednesday for a year and would’ve started in September i think. It’s great you got to go it’s fascinating to me.
How was she evaluated and cleared by TWO mental health professionals? Something is DEEPLY wrong with this woman.
The employers doctor will blame it on everything else besides what actually caused it.
this case infuriates me. this case turned into "why casey lied" rather than how and who killed her daughter. sickening.
I'm sorry but I think she's absolutely comical
She made "Some Puerto Rican Guy" a whole butters episode. 🧈
@@DrDeathpwnsu ya, it's almost like he's a human being investigating the cold blooded murder of a toddler. He should've just decided to become a super manipulative narcissist psychopath to get on her level
@@scottoshea9440 I thought about that actually. He does, at least he needs to approach her with a very casual and nonchalant tone, but bring up all the graphic details in the language he is using. That would be the best way to get her not to deflect it. And I'm sure they tried that at some level but, I don't know, it's like you said, it wouldn't be a good look for them.
But is it not kinda f***ed up, that someone who is obviously involved in the disappearance (/death) of her child
by lying in every single point she possibly could, does not get a punishment for that? And all just because she had the
better manipulator as her defensive counsel, affecting the jury..
Going further on this base, "I could" violate a lot of crimes in the states and avoid any penalty, just by the simple
fact that I got more money and pay a better manipulator, making someone in the jury doubting the explicitness of the case..
I respect your system of law, but doubt that justice was delivered in this case.
She did get punished. She got 4 counts of lying to the police. The max is 1 year for each count. She already had served 2.5, prior to the case so she built up good time. She only had a couple days to do after the trial was finished and she was free.
Justice doesn’t exist in the US. They just say it does.

The fact that she waited so long to report her child missing is what makes her guilty in my eyes . And if I was the prosecutor I would keep that in their minds throughout the whole court case. That would b my argument.
Sometimes babies get busy with their friends and stuff tho 😅lol actually tho, she was so disconnected from reality.
She didn’t even report Caylee missing. Her MOTHER did. Had Cindy not called the police I don’t know if it would have ever been reported.
I would have implored the jury:
If Kaylee died by drowning, why would she have a ton of duct tape wrapped around her face??
But I don't envy those jurors. They had death threats against them when Casey went free.
And rightly so. They fucked this one up. That poor girl deserves justice.
She put a heart shaped sticker on the duct tape covering her mouth.
Does it seem enough to get you in prison for the rest of your life? You should *always* assume that somebody is innocent until proven guilty, otherwise, it can lead to terrible consequences.
I looked it up, they were told the tape could have been put afterward on the body to look like a crime

Sorry but I couldn't resist.
How could an attorney defend someone like that? Blows my mind.
This is one of the most infuriating cases to me, in my eyes she killed her kid and got away scot free. The fact that she deliberately lied many times and displays traits of an unfeeling monster and was free is disgusting.

Thank you for doing these videos about this trial. I, like the rest of the nation, was outraged at the verdict and still am to this day. I felt the jury was grossly negligent in letting this woman walk free. However, after hearing your explanation and commentary on this, I better understand the process the jury has to follow and how they came to the verdict that they did. I still believe whole-heartedly that she murdered that baby and should never see the light of day, but I no longer blame the jury or think it was handled badly. It's a terrible shame that the prosecution didn't have more or better evidence and that they didn't handle what case they had as well as I think they could have. Keep on making these videos.
It's very hard to swallow what this woman did to her daughter and how little it affected her.
Why you’d be a homeless lawyer
The prosecution has no power to save a life (outside maybe preventing a repeat offence). All they can generally do is ruin another and spend a buttload of taxpayer money doing it.
You can't even prove how the baby died let alone who did it.

Horrible.
