I have the prior generation. Just bought my 2002 Sierra S. L. T. It only has 55000 miles. It was a one owner vehicle garage kept. Had to pay top dollar for it, but the previous owner took phenomenal. Share of it look looks brand new inside and out. Will keep it forever. Love this track.
Great review my friend. I live this video. I personally own a 2011 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali with the 6.2L AWD. Couldn’t be any happier with the truck, I’m the 2nd owner and the truck just broke 100K.
I had one exactly like this. Long story short I had two car accidents in it. Both not my fault. And they were exactly a month apart. But the truck itself didn't get to messed up. And I was going 50 when it happened but it shifted the frame just enough to be totaled
If only all of them were so nicely optioned! That 6.2 motor outside of the Denali is associated with NHT package (2010-2013), towing increased to over 10,000 pounds. Denalis could also be AWD, not 4x4. Great review kid!
A very good revue, I own a 2011 Sierra SLT all terrain 2wd, silver with the same interior as the test truck 5.3 engine, 135000 miles Z71 and Z85 heavy duty suspension. I'm the second owner and I firmly believe that this will be my last truck I love it that much. Last month I replaced the rear shocks and the struts with the Rancho replacements it rides like new.
One of my favorite trucks I have a 2012 GMC Sierra sle white pearl I love it it only has 76k on I will keep it for a while my nabor has a brand new one and he always give me that look like haha mines newer he can shove it up his yang.
I have a 2010. Just turned 60k. Love it. Only thing I could complain about is that my dash crack at the 5 yr mark. Found out it was very common and a manufacturer defect
Has anyone had a cracked dash problem? My dash cracked around the 5 yr mark. It’s a 2010. I’ve seen several with the same issue. Just curious if anyone else had this issue
Just put a coverlay dash cover over it. Looks way better. Don’t get a light colored one, it reflects light back into the windshield and it makes it hard to see outside in daylight.
Yes sir found a company that does a slick glue down cover $160 Looks like it’ll match perfectly Mine is cracking right in front of driver And it bothers me 😂
This body style is unique how it doesn't really have rocker panels that are visible but also its really nice when they are taken care of ect but when they get junked up it's like they just look terrible. My opinion though
I have a 2008 ccsb sierra 5.3 etc same truck diff color I love it leather is so comfy n sunroof is awesome feature but if I trade it in it will be for a 2011 n up to 14 as I like the 6L80 trans better then the 4L60 . 4 L trans don't trust only reason why I say 11 n up . But honestly these trucks don't really have to many issues . 1 thing I did do is delete the 4cyl to 8 cyl option mines always v8 .
@@FTFL82 The 5.3 had issues with porosity in the block. My 2011 sounded odd, would miss when started after sitting a day or two. Dealer said there's a TSB but GMC said they wouldn't fix it (new engine). Research shows that issue was fixed in 2015. Apparently it was only on 5.3L and 3.6L (Canyon/Colorado) and cars.
I am confused about something. Short Bed and Standard Bed, both "SB" and both called "Short Bed" generically. Can you get a 2012 GMC Crew Cab with a 6-6 bed?
Very late reply, but I believe you can. Typically the the crew cabs have short beds, the extended cabs have regular beds and single cabs have a long bed. But I think the crew cabs can have a regular 6’6 bed too but I don’t recall seeing any.
I borrowed this vehicle for a review from a dealer so not sure where the prior owner got them. But agree the brushed aluminum looks far better than faux wood!
The GMC trucks always looked alot better than the Chevys do. The front grills and bumpers are just better looking. My '09 has those ugly front bumper corners that make no sense at all and look out of place. WTF?
Windows come off track or break, door handle no longer open door from the inside, rear seal leaks, dash cracks,77,000 miles well taken care of and is not ever been a work truck 2011 gmc Sierra alt Z71 4x4 I bought new and the interior plastics are garbage period but my truck looks like a new truck and has never ever been used except for driving small trips and to the store and this was the most disappointing gmc I’ve ever owned
It's annoying that there was only a 4-spd transmission available with the 4.8L engine. If you wanted the 6-spd, you had to get the 5.3, which cursed you with the miserable engine-killing active fuel management abomination.
I think this gen looks better than the current model, just simple clean lines without a normal sized grille and squared styling.
Got that right I can't even thank about trading mine in.
RICKY GARCIA so worth getting a 14? Even with fuel economy.
Gonna have to disagree, I think all the GMCs since this model year have been an upgrade however the chevys on the other hand have gotten terrible
@@AsianNIGMA bad transmissions and motors in the new ones gms going down
What do you mean "without a normal sized grill"
Love these body styles for some reason
same

Sale me that truck to me man

just broke 100K? That aint even breakin er in yet
Had an 08 Yukon that went 270k miles. Now in a 21 sierra. Great trucks.
I had a 2007 Silverado extended cab. Great truck!
Thank you for your input I'm thinking about buying one.
I got the 2007 Sierra 6.0 vortex max and I love it.
Why did you sell it?
I sold it to get a Cummins Diesel.

Why people says gmc sierra an silverado are not reliable??search youtube and you will see many of them.

@@kenjones7240 that's awesome. yeah the dash cracking was a bad deal on these thankfully mine has not done that but my AVAC controls are wore out.
Any problems with the load lifters as is commonly complained about?
Great review, very thorough

Yes, i have the same problem with my 2011 GMC Serria I want clue it and glue a new cover but don't really that glue to buy.

Till 2014 on the heavy duty 3500/2500

Why does my 07’s front bumper not have that 2” slot on the top in the middle?
It’s an slt model
All bells and whistle’s
When i see all of those buttons and controls all i can think is "none of that shit is going to work when its 10 years old" lol.
Test drove two today 12 years old and everything worked great.
Yea yea you know it all breaks
Just saying, but I'm sure you know more than everyone. Kinda obvious capitan.
What? Lol
Ive been a mechanic for 20 something years so i know a thing or two about common failures in vehicles.. just sayin ;)
What tire size do u have?
Like. What is the difference between Z71 and usual suspension? Will you be able to show suspension underneath? Thanks
It has upgraded shocks, skid plates and a few other things basically to make off roading easier
My favorite style but they don't last as long as the generation before it.
Witch year is the best year for this gen?

Its part of the all terrain package. Also why the seats and door panels have the lighter color inserts
The worse thing about these were the cheap interiors
GM was never any better than that!, theyve always had dollar store interiors 😂
Yeah... I have an 09 I envy my neighbors 07 f150 with a way nicer interior
The GMC trucks always looked alot better than the Chevys do. The front grills and bumpers are just better looking. My '09 has those ugly front bumper corners that make no sense at all and look out of place. WTF?
Good job
I saw the truck in a transformers gm commercial back in 2007

5.3 vortec is the best and most reliable engine.
