I really enjoy your podcasts, I am going to go down to size 1 on needles, dpn, for my socks, using 1.5 and a little loose, thanks for the tip. I do toe up, love knitting socks.
Thanks for mentioning about your sock fitting issues. It never occurred me to go down as far as 54 stitches, but I have the same fit issues you do and about the same size foot. It made me consider why in the world socks sizes aren’t determined by leg and foot circumference rather than length? You can always make a sock longer, but it’s really the circumference that makes a sock feel right. Thanks for your insights.
I am a new sock knitter on the first sock. I just guessed at what amount of stitches to cast on and what size needle. A tutorial for the heel would be wonderful. I’m not comfortable about trying it even with all the different tutorials I’ve watched; they’ve been confusing to me.
