If Bandai ever releases a really good kit that features dry transfer decals, I get the feeling that Mecha will be ecstatic.
You should be the new CEO of Bandai Spirits 🤤
Make the dry transfer edition p Bandai
@@Nyangodzilla117
Or sell them separately
F91 2.0?
@@WormyJester8 while it is a pretty kit with dry transfers, it’s engineering does hold it back. I’m talking something with HIRM detail, the posing ability of G40 or Beyond Global, and the sheer brick stability of the MG buster gundam. Basically a god of gunpla
Anaheim didnt develop any of the "Formula Series" (F90-F99) Mobile Suits.
It was its rival S.N.R.I. and the F90 was the FIRST miniturized MS that truly complied with the Federation requested specs.
Sure; Anaheim later developed some "knockoff" F-Number units but the "Formula Project" was exclusive to S.N.R.I.
"First ever p-bandai kit built from the ground up"
Woundwort: allow me to introduce ourselves
Good point! Must have dropped the MG by accident
Don't forget about Pale Riders. They are P-Bandai kits only too and they have unique molds either. I think that there's a lot more kits with Pale Rider syndrome.
@@flowtheswordsman2262 Possibly the upcoming HG Mudrock too
Yeah it's the first original non-HG from P-Bandai. It's definitely the most ambitious/essential P-Bandai yet.
Robo 1234 I thought MG was referring to MG only. Glad I caught this comment.
I've always loved the F90 as a design and concept, I just wish the base kit wasn't a P-Bandai MG due to the A-Z project for the mission packs for it.
The old F90 kit would have both arms fall off with a little shake.
So that's one reason why it's p-bandai...
@@MrSky-pm9zn any older kit when manhandled like Mecha gaikotsu would fall apart
@@dol_mel7487 The F90 had a joint in the upper arm with a peg that was a little too short and it was a bit notorious. They moved that joint to the lower arm in this one but it clicks into place and it's very solid this go-round.
I cleaned mine up and tightened all the joints. Somehow I broke the grip off the handle to the shield.
I'm starting a band.
Stationary, Lonely, Lonely Buttflap
I have the original F90 kit from the 90's. It came with 3 armor sets in the box. Which is why Bandai selling the armor separately is so Modern-Bandai.
Ahhh, the F90.
Kinda the predecessor to the Strike Gundam in concept. (As in, jack-of-all-trades by exchaging external packages)
Did you forget that the HGUC Woundwart was a thing? That thing was the first P Bandai to be released that was not relying on existing molds.
Watching this review helped realize that a kit I had as a kid may have been an F90. It had the body of the F90 shown here, but the backpack of the 91, an "energy" shield as well as the solid one, and "blades" similar to the inside of the F91 shoulders, but on the outside of the shoulders, and the sides of the legs. It was bigger than my EW kits (I didn't know about scale and grade back then) and fell apart in the face of a slight breath, but it was still cool, and since getting back into the hobby, I've been annoyed that I had no idea where to start looking, so thank you.
EDIT : THE F90-V! THANK YOU AGAIN, I FOUND IT!
When I restarted the hobby a few years ago I went through the same thing, trying to find the new version of my favorite kit from when I was a kid and wondering why it didn't exist. Eventually realized it was the F90 and there was no new kit until now.
V-Type is coming, by the way. E and S are out, M and F are coming next months, and then A, D, P, H, and V are all planned. Supposedly they want to do all of them but I kind of doubt they'll get that far.
@@GotNextVideo Can't wait. I did manage to track down mine on EBAY, though. Gonna use it as a test bed for kit improvement.
@@arionischambers3793 I did the same thing! Mine was a P-Type, but I just build the base kit (so far), painted it up and tried to make it look right. Then I built the new one, which is obviously on a whole different level, but very faithful to the original's look. I really love the new one, probably right behind the RG Nu for my favorite of the year. Gonna build accessories next.
8:15 This feels like a premium bandai release with DLC
I m waiting for gunpla p bandai lootboxes
@@wingjarowing2029 Every lootbox gives you one runner from a random kit
P-Bandai, brought to you by EA.
better than having to buy the weapons pack with the base model itself over and over again 🤷♂️(ie age kits)
Fun fact, even do the f90 is the precursor to the f91, the reason it is so different is because of the FXX development line, basically it's the model number, like the rx line produced both the unicorn and nu gundam, which are worlds apart. They are from the same model line, but not from the same development team . It's also why the crossbone (f97) is also so different
It's like the video game 'DLC' of Gunpla, lol! But still, great they finally released an updated version of an awesome gundam design! Thanks for the review, you always have great insights and well editied videos
The F90 appeared in the manga Crossbone Gundam Steel 7 in the form of the F90 Jupiter assault type along side the F91 and F97 Crossbone Gundam X1. Also I want an F90 HG kit with all configurations in non P Bandai form.
Funny story. I was about to buy a resin conversion kit of the Wing to F90 just before this kit was announced. Glad I waited a little longer.
The night and day difference between the old 1/100 no grade and the MG. It goes to show how far Gunpla has come along in 29 years.
Not expecting you gonna review this
Now i want to see the equipment from A-Z
They announced the MG F90 way, way back when the F91 was released. I have been waitign almost 10 years for
The VSBR add on pack was the test bed for the f91..so they did have a lot in common Mr Hollywood squares display shelving..haha
F90 MG Packs From A-Z: *exist*
My Wallet: Haha, I’m in danger!
Bandai: *FEED ME YOUR INSIDES*
There is similarly small-ish Crosbone Gundam plus its variants... which is basically F97.
Mine just got here today, the mission pack should be here next week. Cant wait to build it
They finally did it! And they did it right!
While it's a drag this is a P-Bandai, it makes up for it by being the most interesting P-Bandai ever. Worth the mark up to finally get an update to my favorite kid from my childhood.
It might not have a lot of gimmicks (besides the hardpoints and the expansions), but it is solid as a rock, stable, and looks great. The ABS frame and waterslide decals are nice touches that we don't get for all the MGs, too. I will be buying some of the dumb mission packs.
I really love this kit esp with the add ons, I think I saw 4-5 good add ons for this kit (based on the illustration of it, not all of them out yet)
There's announcement about F90 A to Z project at the flyer in RG Nu Gundam Box if you're curious about it
During the 90s..i had my first 100 gundam.. this was it...now i have the pbandai version..lets hope i can collect the weapons from a to z.
F90 being a gay robot is the only canon.
Fite me
I did not get what you mean, till I got to the point in the vid.
Old Video, but I'm really hoping this will be my first MG Kit. I don't know what it is, but I just love the look of it. Even willing to over pay for it.
Gundam Alex: Parts 1-3 of Jojo
F90: Parts 5-8 of Jojo
Huh, now that I look at it, that's kinda what happened here. AE Gundams were build with durability and firepower in mind, expected to get into slugfests with weaker suits. They just happened to be pretty darn fast as a bonus. The SNRI series of Gundam focused on being so stupidly fast that they could wreck their opponents without being hit. Kinda like the difference between Jonathon jostar and Gappy.
Which Gundam is Part 4? That's the best part
@@TorchicNidoran1994 part four might be turn A. Still pretty big and durable suits, but starting to slim down, and the turn A is a prototype with obnoxious speed and power compared to everything else.
What about part 4?
Scythe GuyZZ uhhhhhhh......
Yes
I have the 1991 Release in MG F90 II Weapon Variation 4. I do not think that this one is from the ground up. Some parts are reused though from the 1991 version. Except the old one doesn't have an inner frame.
F90 II Weapon Variation No.04 Long Range Type release 1991
I love the F90 II design and they did made alot of improvements from the 1991 version.
"apparently it's also gay...I...uh...I'm *confused*"
Lelennyface.
Not the LGBT icon we wanted, but the one we needed all along.
I mean given what the f90 is going to be equipped with eventually. It’s probably for the better if it didn’t have a moving butt flap.
Built from the ground up...yet the hands, elbows, & shoulders seem to be identical to the F91's...uh-huh...
Lovin' those blue eyes, though!! Don't see that too often!!
Yeah it reuses a couple simple utility parts, but it doesn't reuse any runners, which is unheard of for a P-Bandai, especially a MG.
nice... I hope bandai would take this kit as an example for future release... then, more gunpla would be bulletproof solid...
"Solitary Butt Flap" with a Butt Claw. You should include the terms in future reviews
Spongier plastic? So I can paint with Tamiya without bleeding extra cash for primer? Horray! I’m most likely just gonna paint the white parts with AS-5 for that light blue-green tint similar to the ZZ Gundam I’ve seen for art from the manga and the blue a slightly lighter tint. Amazing model so happy I got it when I could in my backlog!!
MG F90 is honestly MG of the year without a doubt
Also, it's definitely built from the ground up, not a single part is unused on the kit, and the joints aren't the same as a whole (while the outer details are the same)
If you factor in the add ons, definitely. I don't know if that's fair, but it is fundamentally a part of what this kit is about. The base kit doesn't have a lot in the way of gimmicks or accessories, but it's a foundation for a ton of cool stuff.
@@GotNextVideo the kit has a fair amount of accessories, great articulation, and a extremely dynamic design that was made with posing in mind. It's fantastic without the packs regardless
@@dol_mel7487 It's certainly my favorite MG this year, but I can see why people might argue that the Alex is bigger and comes with more stuff in the box, or the Barbatos has better articulation. Those are are really the only all-new (or close to all-new) MGs we've gotten this year.
F90 had a few drawbacks. It doesn't quite have as many articulation points as other modern MGs. No foot bend, notably, and a very simple ankle joint. Some probably won't like the small size (though I love this in-between size, personally and I wish all MGs were that size). And it doesn't have a lot of accessories out of the box, just the standard. We don't even get expressive open hands.
But it does have some really impressive color separation. It also comes with a generous sheet of waterslides decals (including a lot of extras and optionals), which look really really good. Those little triangle marking decals especially look great when applied over the sculpted details and given the Microsol treatment. They really look like separate parts. And the existence of the mission packs adds a lot of value as well.
So I'm not saying you're wrong. I have been dying for any new F90 kit forever, and this is better than I could have hoped. One of my dream wishlist kits that I thought would never happen. But if you aren't an especially big fan of the F90's design or the expansion gimmick I can see why you might prefer Alex or Barbatos.
Wow. People really forget that the Dynames was this year.
I mean, I understand that UC sensibilities is the prevailing popular choice for Kits of the year material, but, that MG is also really good.
@@JoeSmithGOAT Doesn't Dynames use an existing frame though?

Hey Mecha if your godhand nippers wore out would you but a new pair of do you have like 40 of them ready to use after on wares off?
I have just the one. I need to get a few spares actually because I’d be lost without it
@@MechaGaikotsu oof I thought you were the type of UA-cam that buys like 40 pairs of the same thing!
You should review the PG Rx-178-2 mkII in both colors
Oh man, I was really worried with that title. Like "This doesn't feel like Bandai, it feels like a cheap knockoff!"
When is the giveaway happening? And where do we share the hashtags?
I was so excited for this kit! Bummer that the price has been gouged so high. I'm salivating watching this. Can't WAIT for the vsbr mission pack!!
Now i know what the F stands for: FABULOUS 90
Fortunatelly this and other pbandai kits are available to preorder in the US shop so i don’t have to pay extra
Are you going to review Gundam Earthree from Gundam Build Diver Re:Rise???
Cant wait for the new build diver gunpla reviews!
a few mods and a color swap and it looks like the closest base kit for an MG Star Burning
Eh not really at all
@@dol_mel7487 to each his own, head, shoulder, arms, feet look close enough. Like I said, its more of a base kit. Needs a lot of mods, but looks wise it fits the silhouette pretty well
It's like a Zeta crossbred with a whole lot of other Gundams and I love it!
Also I signed up on buyee but idk where to share it. I'll just do it on Facebook.
Polystyrene plastic is a lot more robust, definitely something that the scratch builders will be more familiar with.
Blue beam sabers? I'm in love!
I really hope Blue Fin gets this on their site because this kit seems really nice
Really like your videos. Can u perhaps do a special video for halloween 🎃 with your dog? Really want to see him/her wearing costumes or anything hehe 😜
ive already signed up for buyee but i tweeted out this review. id love this kit, im an f91 diehard and i really like how unique of an experience this kit is.
ugh and i could use this to fix the fact that i lost the trigger finger holding hand on the left side of my f91. the f91 is my favorite kit, id love to give it some more weapons
I love this kit but the upper arm rotation is trash if you wanna paint, you get next to no rotation there until it rubs too hard for paint against the shoulder armour, you can even see it bulging the armour during the articulation in this video.
This looks like you could easily turn it into a 00 mobile suit and it wouldn’t look out of place with that group.
Wooo.....*runs off to eBay*.......kerching.......another box on the way to add to the stash!
Love it💗 would love to win this giveaways, fan of yours follow your tips and tricks and your recomendations of all the kits. Would love to make this kit it looks soo flaw
This looks cool 😊 i have already lost count of how many times I have entered one of these but as well keep trying until I get a hook😅😊😃
Wait what the f90 is gay how did that happen 🤣😁
Gunpla fans : so.... this is all will be P Bandai's release, but it will cost us more
Bandai : YES !
Wow I like this, It's awesome, look so solid, good design
I hope that one day we'll get a uc series that focus on the transition of the regular size ms to the newer smaller ms.
That's the F90 manga.
I know this design isn’t super flashy and doesn’t have any cool gimmicks or do anything new, but I really want this kit. It’s just a solid, basic Gundam and I dig it.
I'd like to join the giveaway, but unfortunately I don't use Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram and I don't feel like doing so just to enter the giveaway
I think the HG Pale Rider is also a built from the ground up PBandai
Since they did the Gundam F90 I wonder if they'll do the Gundam F90 Mars Zeon version next.
Beautiful mg im out of words, just beautiful.
lmfao Bring Me To Life in the intro! F90!!
any chance of reviewing figure-rise standard Wargreymon amplified ?
Wow f90 is looking nice!
The ad I got was the opening music of build divers rerise
Hey man I don’t know if they ship international but you could try and see if Big Bad Toy Store does they occasionally have PBandai and restock a lot of older kits
I had the old 1990s version of this kit. This Gundam sure has weird looking face and bizarre "chin". The v-fins are odd too (their angles and the positioning).
Now A to Z pack im excited
Been waiting for this!!!!
so does one of its Mission Packs include the Gay Robot set?
4:52 You can hear the ringing noise
I love this Gundams design
Great review. I can't wait to build mine
My god I need those blue beams
Can’t wait for the mission pack reviews
Can’t wait for mission pack reviews
Love your reviews man always look forward to them
I have done as requested for the giveaway! Let's hope I can win. If I do it'll be my third gunpla kit
New game, take a shot every time MechaGaikotsu says "Different"
How exactly do you sign up for the giveaway? The link just takes me to the store itself and no idea where to look or what to do.
Didn't know what you meant at first. Then you pulled out a Kotobukiya..
Oh, so that's what you mean.👍
the mechanism in the waist of the mg f90 is the same with the mg f91 2.0 as well
same with the elbows
so it's technically not completely brand new.
I'm about to buy this kit but my wallet is just refusing to open up...
that same goes to RG Nu Gundam.....mine is so sturdy...no flappy flappy.....
There was a f90 game for the super famicom.
for entering the giveaway, I don’t understand what platform to share the video.
Speaking of contest, and I'm pretty sure there is already a winner, but when/where did you announce the winner for the Perfectibility?
I have a non grade F90 and it isn't half bad for its old age.
I love the blue beam sabers
Lol, it looks like the strike and Alex had a baby
classic colors
Checking Amazon Japan, this kit is going for 6800 yen and up (~$65 and up). Way over the 4000 yen retail for such a basic kit. (If you were going the Buyee route and you have to add international shipping on top of that). I want one, but that is still too pricey for my budget. 5000 yen would be more reasonable IMO. How much of a mark-up do you regularly pay on your Buyee stuff Mecha?
I've said it before and I'll say it again, this should NOT had been a P-Bandai kit. The mission packs I get, but the main suit makes no sense as an exclusive. Bandai will have to reprint these kits on the regular to keep up with the mission pack releases(for those uber collectors who need a kit for every mission pack). I only hope that can drive the prices back down when it gets re-printed but right now, there's just too much of a mark up from resellers.
I got this the first 2wks it was released
I paid like 4500 yen, secondary market pricing does that tho pump up the pricing.
when it does get re-printed maybe it will receive a price-drop kinds like how the metal build eva unit 01 dropped nearly 8000JPY when the rerelease happened.
Do we need to do both things listed to enter the give away or just one?
Everytime Mecha says "different" take a sip!!
First ever 100% unique p bandai kit? Woundwort would beg to differ. And I’m sure there are others
