I didn't have a bunch of these, you got way more then I do, but I do have some of the old ones. '88 #3 U.S. Classics, #5 European, #11 Street Racers, #10,6,13 of all three aircraft sets, and #9 boat. '89 Deluxe sets of 1 & 2 (folding hoods and doors were my favs). Bought like six of the small folding playsets and those were rare to find at my age back then. Then I gave up collecting them because I wasn't finding the sets I wanted in stores. I'd picked up random loose cars at the jockey lot, get home to find they weren't real Micro Machines. Bummer. I use to tape paper to the table and draw out roads, houses, trees, whatever and connect those to the little folding playsets. But I gotta admit they were fun to play with back then. BTW: The little figure stuck, have you tried using a precision screwdriver and wedge it between the figure and the stuck surface. So you don't put pressure on the legs of the figure and snapping them.
That's a great idea. I will have to try that. Amazing idea about drawing layouts for everything btw. I remember using Hot Wheels on the living room carpet because the carpet fibers were long enough to make roads in. Then the folks got new short carpet and my Hot Wheels dreams were ruined. I would take my Micro machines to grandmas and set the city up on the bedroom floor and destroy the city. I bet I lost those few pieces in transport. I had a dream a few nights ago that I found all those lost pieces. The Police station pieces and the bridge pieces that are missing are driving me crazy....I think investing in toys from this period is a smart move. Toys back then were just amazing....maybe i am biased. lol.
your collection is phenomenal! i loved my gas can (the rectangular one with the mountain) and the van city...i'm looking for those for my boy, i think he would love them!
I’ve found some and some are pretty pricey! Do you recall if there were any other “cities” besides van city? I remember it as being a bus, so kind of close enough...but I remember it having more stuff..maybe just as a kid it seemed more?
I absolutely love your collection. I'll be making a video of my own collection at some point soon too. The big wheel cars at the end are part of a Micro Machines series called Turbo Wheels. But only the ones with gold wheels are real Micro Machines, the ones with the chrome wheels were made by Funrise. I also noticed a couple knock offs in the city, such as the Rocky Mountain semi trailer, which was also made by Funrise, the Nascar, and one of the military trucks. But that's about it.
Nice city layout, I saw at 0:42 and 1:24 you had some Hot Wheels Atomix vehicles parked, btw the vehicles with the oversized wheels were called Road Champs Micro and the other small cars at 8:45 are called Hot Wheels Micro Color Racers
Thank you for the info. I looked up those Atomix and thought they looked pretty cool. I guess along the way growing up they got mixed in with the Micros.
I have a Hiways & Byways collection similar to yours. I keep two versions: one set is sealed in the original boxes and the other is opened for display purposes. FYI: the "Weiner World" piece you mentioned @ 9:05 was part of the "Yikes! Peak" Hiways & Byways set.
Wow! Sealed Micro Machines sets! Would love to see pics or video of that! Did you find them online or toy shows? I'm not sure I've ever encountered sealed building sets in the wild.
Ebay is the answer! They don't show up very often, so I have certain key words saved in my "Followed Searches" section. I get an email every time something new pops up for sale matching those key words. For example: I'll type in "Micro Machines Water Works Car Wash New", or something like that. It's a GREAT feature. I've managed to pick up several sealed examples from the Military line, Hiways & Byways, Star Wars, etc. They do take up some space, though...
I saw a couple pieces you didn't recognize. that gun piece in the military zone came off the Micro Machines Travel City Battle Block. a very interesting pocket pkayset. Those odd cars with no bottoms, well the five cars right beside them are hot wheels im pretty sure jus check the bottoms. Some of those ones with the bigger wheels are from micro machines but others they're genereic. there's a lot of vehicles I had once in my collection as a kid. excellent town setup.
Hey thank you! I looked up that Battle Block and was surprised by how many pocket playsets came with those guns. Just not sure exactly which one I had but you're right! Thank you! Yeah, it was a lot of fun setting up the city and trying to figure out the best way for them all to fit on the coffee table. I've noticed individual cars at local resale shops/fleas are never under two dollars a piece.
The “chunky” looking ones off to the right are not micro machines, but Road Champs. The slightly bigger cars with metal bodies are hot wheels miniatures. And the cars with no bottoms are most likely tootsie toys. Nice collection!
YES! Which set do you think you'll try and find first? I would like to get more of the hiways and biways sets. I also thought about putting a down payment on a Jeep because this Pandemic has made me think a lot about life, and how truly lucky I am, and I am learning not to wait anymore....trying to take some positives out of this whole thing.
2ToyBoys Hmmmm........I’ll probably get a hiways and biways and a few more cars, Then, I’m saving half of the remaining money on the new 2020 micro machines coming out. People say they look trash. But I’m excited for those. It’s going to be like a brand new thing to start collecting
I haven't really seen a lot of pictures from the new line. I will have to look and see. I think a lot of people tend to like what they grew up with the most and usually need to open their minds to new ideas and designs. After all, the 2020 line will be a classic to people years (decades) from now.
I am so happy to see that I was not the only one on the world that was in crazy love with collecting micro machines and building cities for them. If you are interested check out my own city in the link below: ua-cam.com/video/jjsXakUpXBI/v-deo.html Ever since I can remember myself I was desiging toy cities each one serving a specific city destruction scenario. I have made cities in the scale of matchbox, playmobil and micro machines. The one in the video it's a micro machines' city which was designed around in 2010, the same year the video was made and it was one of my last city designs I had created. My most favourite city destruction scenarios for my micro machines' city are: 1) An generic alien invasion where the alien spaceships are the star trek starships from a micro machines collection box. 2) An alien invasion in the style of the power rangers shows where I was using the micro machines' power rangers figures. 3) A "War of the Worlds" scenario from the 2005 film. 4) A zombie apocalypse scenario made by me that was inspired by george romero's movies and and the resident evil franchise. 5) A recreation of the "Volcano" movie of 1997 with Tommy Lee Jones. Have you ever played with your micro machines city the way I did and if yes, what were the scenarios you were using?
Hey do you have any more Micro machines collection little vehicles military vehicles and more playsets for the Godzilla toys and kaiju monsters toys from Bandai the vinyl figures for your micro machines collection toys from galoob?
Wow I haven't seen these since I was a kid! I think I had nearly all of them. So nostalgic!
Oh just incase, Wiener world is off the micro machines mountain set. It sits atop the grey rectangle on the mountain
very nice collection, kept in great condition and complete, sweet...
Thank you. I have recently added more vehicles and a farm playset. I should do a new video of this town set up at some point.
The turret is from travel city battle.block playset. Nice city!!!
Love this set up!

$4000 in micromachines right their! Awesome!
Seriously? Wow! I didn't realize it was worth that much, but then again, we don't see them very often at shops. The vintage ones i mean.
This is an incredible set up, this brings me back to my childhood. I love the channel. I just subscribed.
Thank you Dan! We appreciate that. :)
You are not alone.
I am currently a child I love tiny cities and tiny cars
But still this is literally my good dreams
build your own set ua-cam.com/video/_tv8QF8RwNI/v-deo.html
Very cool collection. I would have been so jealous as a kid!
Thank you. They were a lot of fun to grow up with.

You have a great eye. Thank you so much for the info!
MMs are so cool.
Not to brag, but when I was 11, I made an MM city that would dwarf this. (I was spoiled with toys and had a large playroom.)
That would be awesome to see!!!! I'd feel like a god hovering over the city...
So was the kid that i knew who introduced meine to Micro Machines, He also had Lots of these Fisherprice action sets

The train set was always one of my favorites it came with a small gray oval track an engine and I want to say two cars
I can't remember what company made the train set I have on display here...

Kevin Rockwell p
That car wax building is part of Micro Machines' "Secret Auto Supplies" line. It involves playsets disguised as actual auto parts.
Thanks Ian!
I have that same turrett. I have no idea, but I have three of them. 1 is larger than the others. nice city you have going.
Thank you. It's crazy how much the vehicles alone are fetching at toy shows and flea markets.
Yes I agree. The prices are out of control. Check out my Super Van City review. ua-cam.com/video/1ekilwM3kYg/v-deo.html

Thank you for your comment. Most of these are from my childhood.
I went ahead and subbed your channel. Looks like a cool channel.
The piece you had on the military set is a space / moon lander
Thank you!

It's been three years since I played with them, I need to get them out again...
2ToyBoys
Good thing the government giving us checks of like a 1000$. I might spend half of that on micro machines
