The one thing I've noticed so far is that if you just want to dial a phone number, when you dial the first number it starts the phone application, but if you continue dialing before the phone application opens completely, it loses the numbers you dialled before it opened. For a phone whose main function is phone calls, this seems silly at best.

Would you please just do a whole video walk through of this flip phone? Show how the hot keys work and show which ones are customizable. Show how the texting is set up and how you get to things like pictures, settings, address book, alarm clock, calender, etc. It would be really helpfull.
I’ll try to get to it after some of my next couple of videos. If you have a specific question, let me know and I can reply. Honestly most of the address book, calendar, alarm, etc looks like any other android. Settings is the android version as well, so if you are familiar with that, it looks exactly the same. It’s essentially Android on a dumb phone, but again if you have a specific question, let me know.
Actually it looks like a good device. If you take off all the Google crap you only need 1 GB of RAM.. Your battery will also be better without Google too.
I've been thinking of getting something similar to this (more in shape, though), the Nokia 2720 flip, or even something like the Doro 6040, kinda like the clamshell form factor. Whatsapp and Maps would be all I would require, that would to the trick. Off-topic: Is your lens still dirty, or are those dots video artifacts?
Thank you for your video. I wish the phone had a better manual to explain fully how to do things especially for the older generation, me! I have been able to set several alarms needed for my work. When the alarm goes off, if I open the phone, it goes to snooze for 10 minutes. How can I just turn the alarm off without it going into snooze. Thanks so much to anyone who can help.

I got this phone for my elderly mom because it was a basic, no frills phone…through Tello. I think it is a pain to use. Not easy for my mom and for some reason it has now decided to disconnect a call when trying to connect! I have had my phone in the same room as this one and it won’t connect! Yes, I got Tello also since they were inexpensive. I only use this phone for safety check daily calls for seniors, once a day. It's been quirky sometimes and has to be charged every few days. Also, I paid $50 thru my smartphone carrier, which is a rip off considering it costs $30 like you said. Oh well. 😞

It’s 4G bands are not VoLTE and therefore won’t be supported in North America soon. If you want to get it and use it until January then its fine, but I don’t recommend that if you want to go long term

Realize your post was about 1 years old but have this nuu phone for my elderly parents and cannot seem to set up contacts due to predictive text. That feature can be turned off in the messaging app but shows up when you get to the text field in contacts, making it impossible to type a name. Press # and it changes nothing. Any idea???

Hi! I do not like cell phones, but I had to buy one anyway just to survive. On my nuu f4 I open the phone and try to type in a number. Sometimes that works and I make the call. Other times the screen changes and tells me there are no speed dial numbers installed. I do not want any speed dial numbers or bells and whistles. I just want an ordinary phone that lets me make calls reliably with no voice mail, and no text messages, airplane mode, etc. I want just basic land line functions and that's all. How do I set the phone to basic function mode. Thanks.

NUU F4L can you program ring cycle on voicemail, the Alcatel I have rings 9x before going to voicemail & am told the Alcatel's ring cycle is default, so cannot adjust how many rings before going to voicemail. Thanks

Hi! I am looking to buy this for my mother who cannot use a smart phone. I want to activate it with Mint Mobile since their service includes calls to Mexico. On the Mint website it mentions in order for phones to be compatible they have to be 4G LTE and VoLTE friendly. I was able to see that this phone is 4G LTE but I have no idea where to look to see if it is VoLTE friendly. Not even sure what that is. Would you be able to check if it is or if it is compatible with Mint? Thank you!

How is the call quality? Is the ring tone loud enough? I am looking for a flip phone for my 86 year father who is hard of hearing. He doesn't know how to text, so he just need a basic phone receiving and make calls.
It's adequate. Not too loud, not too quiet. For the best call quality, the Kyocera DuraXV Extreme, the Sunbeam F1, or the Sonim Devices are your best bet.
A Tip: Why dont you change up that colour on your side with the company's theme colour of which phone you are reviewing or any other thing which you are reviewing

I hate this trying to insert the Sim Card. Not sure what size to put in , think it's Nano but do you insert it and where? Really vague instructions looks like you just lay the Sim in there.
Yes. Just lay it in there and put it back into the phone. It takes a bit to get it put correctly, but you can do well. I believe the nano sim is the correct size

Hey dude, can you help me out? Recently I haven't been able to click to the speaker phone option during a phone call. It's my grandparents phone and they are hard of hearing, I like to put it on speaker phone during showing them their voicemails. During the call I used to be able to navigate to the speakerphone with the navigation buttons, but it hasnt been working lately. i think they might have clicked some weird settings.
That's odd. I would try power cycling the phone first. If this does not work, go to settings>calls and make sure everything looks normal. If none of these work, you can try doing a factory reset. Last option is to contact support as you may have a faulty unit for some reason.
I just got this phone today. Did you have any issues setting up wifi calling? When I attempt to set this up, it stays in the "this may take a few moments" screen and never seems to get past it. Is there another setting that I need to make sure is on before this sets up?
@@JoseBriones oh thank goodness! Just ordered one through mint mobile. The old inbox and sent folders are the one thing I don’t miss about the old flip phones. One phone I wish they would bring back is the Nokia 7705 Twist.. that was my absolute favorite!
@@haley3675 Just a word of caution for Group SMS. Make sure your settings are properly configured, otherwise you will be receiving group SMS but when sending them, you'll be sending them individually instead of a group message.
How the heck to you text and stuff on this phone? I can't figure out how to backspace because the backspace button and back button are the same button. When I try to backspace it just goes back to the previous screen which is not what I wanted. How do I do this?? Thanks :)
Try the pound key! It has a delete symbol as well. I know my unit allows me to back on both the regular back key and also the pound key. Let me know if that works :)

Ok so actually it seems like it is still supported by WhatsApp. It works now.

Should it make sounds when a text message comes in or just the flash only. Mine doesn’t make noise. Can’t seem to find a way to fix that
Check the volume settings under settings, maybe you toggle a do not disturb mode or a silent mode

It's possible, but you can only get step by step (a list of directions) navigation and not turn by turn, meaning it won't follow you as you go.

Go to settings and volume. Then turn on and off. Volume keys also should do the trick

Hey dude, can you help me out? Recently I haven't been able to click to the speaker phone option during a phone call. It's my grandparents phone and they are hard of hearing, I like to put it on speaker phone during showing them their voicemails. During the call I used to be able to navigate to the speakerphone with the navigation buttons, but it hasnt been working lately. i think they might have clicked some weird settings.
That's odd. I would try power cycling the phone first. If this does not work, go to settings>calls and make sure everything looks normal. If none of these work, you can try doing a factory reset. Last option is to contact support as you may have a faulty unit for some reason.
How do you add music into the NUU flip phone? I have a 128 gb card installed but can't figure out how to get the music in. I have a MacBook Pro.
If you pass the music to the SD card you should be able to read it with the player app. If it doesn’t read, try different formats on the music
Is there a way to take the sd card out of the phone and then reinsert it. I couldn’t figure out how to get it out.

I just got this phone today. Did you have any issues setting up wifi calling? When I attempt to set this up, it stays in the "this may take a few moments" screen and never seems to get past it. Is there another setting that I need to make sure is on before this sets up?
It took a while. Like 10 min haha. The phone can be slow for sure
Does it have conversations in the in the text messages like a smart phone would? Or is it the classic inbox and sent folders?
It has conversations in the same way as a smartphone would :)
@@JoseBriones oh thank goodness! Just ordered one through mint mobile. The old inbox and sent folders are the one thing I don’t miss about the old flip phones. One phone I wish they would bring back is the Nokia 7705 Twist.. that was my absolute favorite!
@@haley3675 Just a word of caution for Group SMS. Make sure your settings are properly configured, otherwise you will be receiving group SMS but when sending them, you'll be sending them individually instead of a group message.
It would be perfect if it had Google Maps, MuslimPro and Spotify but I think I will stick to my KaiOS Alcatel then.

@@truefreedom7373 Also the Nokia 2720 flip runs KaiOS so it has google maps (with some options restricted as most apps for kaiOS)
How the heck to you text and stuff on this phone? I can't figure out how to backspace because the backspace button and back button are the same button. When I try to backspace it just goes back to the previous screen which is not what I wanted. How do I do this?? Thanks :)
Try the pound key! It has a delete symbol as well. I know my unit allows me to back on both the regular back key and also the pound key. Let me know if that works :)
