How do you sign up for the Goodwill reward program? Can you sign up in-store? I looked on their website but I couldn't find anything about a reward program.
@@rnzynow trying to create a pocket about an hour away in New Jersey , went to two good wills last week one was good (6 pairs found) the other was awful will not be going back to that one . I didn’t see any signs that say spend $100 get 25% off ?that’s huge . No savers near Mahwah NJ , I may have to go to ct to find a good pocket ,
In season can increase the value but shoes in great condition that may not be “in season” can still be profitable. Make sure to always look up completed sales to see if it’s a good buy or not.
Great question. We do a ton of research BEFORE we buy them so we know there is a very good chance they will sell when we actually buy them. Most beginner resellers buy randomly and hope the inventory sells which leads to slow sales and stagnant inventory. It always makes sense to research the completed sales on the marketplaces you’re using to ensure you’re buying the correct inventory to resell yourself.
Enjoyed your video. Do you have a video on cleaning the shoes? If a pair of shoes has a smelly odor, would one be able to get rid of the odor or would you not buy that pair?
Tyler Hughart not all styles are worth the pick up. Make sure to check comps and decide based on what you’re seeing they are selling for on the marketplace you plan to flip them 🤙
Hi rnzy. Enjoy your videos. My question is how do you keep track of your inventory? Like the receipts of purchase. Do you use like inventory lab or any other program? I'm a newbie and want to learn as much as I can. Thx
Marco Guerrero we use google sheets to keep track of all of our inventory. We also use the self employed version of Quickbooks which is attached to our Turbo Tax account to keep track of expenses.
Hi, thanks for the great info. Are you tracking everything just on an excel spreadsheet or is there a better way to do it? Do you have a template I can use?
@@rnzynow thanks a lot, you guys are great.. I love your attitude it makes your videos easy to watch and I definitely feel the positive vibes, best shoe reselling channel out there. I'm switching my focus to about 90% shoes and am taking this more serious this year. And you've helped show me the importance of tracking everything. Along with so much more great info. Thanks for all the great videos, keep it up.
Gabriel Sena we price shoes based on comps on the marketplaces we use. We put all the shoes buy cost in our charts as their average buy cost for the 7 day sourcing cycle.
Rnzy I understand you price off comps but what I was asking is do you price based off original or average. My example being if I bought 2 pairs one for $5 and one for $15 the average buy cost is $10. But if I sell for $15 each I’m losing money on the pair I actually spent $15 because after fees I’m not getting my money back for the $15 pair.
Gabriel Sena we use the average buy cost. $10 in your example. But we never buy a pair for $10 and sell it for $15...that doesn’t make sense with fees and shipping. We buy pairs that have comps that allow us to worst case scenario double our money AFTER all fees and shipping. We get back no less than $20-$25 for pairs we pay $10 for.
Rnzy I know you would never buy and sell for $10 and sell for $15 but I could have also set my example at $1 and $199 now the average would be the average buy cost would be $100 so now if I sold for $175 based on buy cost I’m making a killing on the $1 but losing time and effort and money on the $199 purchase.
Gabriel Sena the piece you’re missing is that both pairs still have to have good comps. It doesn’t make sense to buy a pair for $1 and one for $199 because the comps on both probably aren’t $150+. We source hundreds of pairs every week. Our system works for us but there are many other ways to win. Do what works best for you 🤙🤙
hi guys, please help me on this subject. the packaging. I end up buying the package from UPS and they charge $5.5 for each box, this is taken from my profit. I use StockX and the shipping label is under UPS shipping so I end up buying ups boxes.
That's a lot to pay for boxes. For StockX I use the Home Depot Xtra Small moving boxes for $0.78 each. You can either reduce the height with a Carton resizer / reducer or just fill them with contractor paper (large rolls in the painting isle)
Thank you really good video I’m learning a lot from you. We are selling shoes as well and we have UA-cam channel as you guys. Maybe one day we can go sourcing together. Hi from Chicago.
Hello 👋🏼 you guys are the best I just decided just to sell shoes because I loved selling them 😎one question I know I have to do taxes but I don’t know do I jus save all my recipes?
Fantastic video, thank you for all the knowledge. We have followed your advise and we now have about 250 shoes un our inventory. We have also sold 34 pairs between poshmark and mercari. Thanks both of you for the knowledge you provide to the shoe reselling community.
Great video. Thanks
You should do a video on how you clean/prep the shoes to have them ready for shipping
We‘ve already done that : ) It’s here on our UA-cam channel if you scroll down.

Yes we signed up in store
@@rnzynow Okay awesome, thank you for the reply!
I’m curious you mentioned you have several sourcing routes , how often do you go back to the same store ?
Once a week at most.

Do you worry about whether a shoe is in season or not?
In season can increase the value but shoes in great condition that may not be “in season” can still be profitable. Make sure to always look up completed sales to see if it’s a good buy or not.
Do you buy the shoes first then hopefully sell them? Or do you know that they will sell and not have to worry about not selling?

I've been trying to keep my buy cost low as well, it's make such a huge difference. thanks for the info.

Our goodwills in Ny and NJ do not offer any discount for spending $100 or more ? Can you tell me which areas offer that discount ?

Hmmm I never about rewards on thrift!!!Great video
Shawanda Howard appreciate you tuning in 🤝🤝
Those brooks in the video, you didn't specify which style it was.
My question is do you always look up styles or just the brand that makes the shoe?
The stricter you are when looking up comps the better 👌
What styles of rocket dogs do you look for? we always pass on them.
