I've flown Delta Comfort+ on a long haul flight and paid about $150 extra for the seat 1 way and it was worth it. Hoping to use it again in October! Great video and Bermuda looks stunning!
I flew on Delta comfort+ on my flight from Orlando to LaGuardia on an A321 and I thought it was fantastic, it's the kind of flight you wish lasted longer. The flight attendants were super nice and friendly, I also enjoyed the free snacks you get on the flight
I am 6-3 and almost always fly Delta, and when I do I always get the comfort option. It isn't that much more than economy and I like boarding before everyone else, and the extra leg room. If you are price conscious then maybe you won't want to spend the extra bucks, but I feel the benefit outweighs the cost.
I just talk my way into an exit row seat.. has worked on my last 6 Delta flights.. either asking to be reseated right before boarding, asking on the plane, or finding someone that does not want an exit row seat and switching with them. Delta does not charge to for the exit row seat if you cannot still purchase the upgrade through the app.
I’m in the same boat. The extra legroom was very much needed and appreciated. On my flight from Disney back to NY, I needed to relax, and the comfort seating afforded me that relaxation.. it’s worth the few extra bucks
We used it last summer to Walt Disney World. LAX-ATL-MCO and MCO-LAX on return. Was definitely worth it for that 4-5 hours leg! Having 2-3 cocktails and tasty snacks was great. I must point out that we booked main cabin and after paying, a window popped up and an offer for upgrade to COMFORT+ came up and I clicked it. I was then allowed to change my seats to the new cabin and charged an extra $120 total for all 3 legs of the trip. It would have cost us $125 per person extra doing it from the start!
I don't usually pay for Comfort+, but with Medallion status it's a nice perk when I get upgraded. I agree with Jeb that an 'upgrade' to a middle seat in C+ isn't really an upgrade if you had a window or aisle seat to begin with. Glad you liked the chicken wrap. I always buy mine in the airport now, after the one I bought onboard had exactly ONE chunk of chicken in it. Otherwise, I agree with C. Ryan that Delta is #1.
I checked out when flying from Seattle back to Raleigh/Durham. It was well worth the extra cost. I was not as tired as I was when I flew out the 1st time. Great product for longer flights.
I got bumped to Comfort Plus on DL Connection CRJ-900 with Endeaver from TPA-CVG and found the legroom amazing, even more than the standard economy seat on the mainline 737-800 I had going down!
YES, Comfort + is incredibly worth it. Delta, the best US airline, provides amazing service. You get attentive service, unlimited snacks, tons of great legroom and recline, sky priority boarding, and I believe that the seat is more comfortable than main cabin. Highly recommend if you are tall and/or have a long trip. EDIT: I said “Unlimited snacks” as of all the times I’ve flown Comfort+, FA’s have never take then tray away once you grab a snack.
Took a flight from SCL - ATL in Economy + in a 767. That's a almost 10 hours flight. Seat pitch was really fine but besides of that no big difference from regular economy. Meal and drinks were the same and the seats were almost identical.
I’m 6’7. I fly delta comfort every chance I get because of the legroom. Those few extra inches make a big difference. And the free drinks are great too!
This upcoming trip is our first trip in Comfort + and I wasnt sure what to expect. We originally booked an economy ticket and the price dropped after the required COVID tests coming into the country. So we took our original price that we paid and upgraded to Comfort+. Thanks for going over the benefits because I really had no idea. Thanks!
I agree with that! A 2 hour flight on coach or economy would work fine with me but to fly to California, Alaska, or Seattle Washington economy plus would be the best option.
*Worth noting:* You can also be upgraded to comfort plus using your miles or paying on the flights you want it in. While this can be done on main cabin tickets it can't be done on Basic Economy Tickets
I'm sitting at the gate in Greensboro, North Carolina, wondering what Comfort Plus is like; they just gave me a free upgrade from regular Economy. Thanks for clearing it up. Looking forward to infinity peanuts and pretzels.
I can only fly Delta Comfort or First Class.....Even though 6'1" is not the tallest, I cannot fit my legs in anything else. And I loooooove the free drinks.
Mentioning height and body size is important in determining whether it is worth it, so thanks for adding that. I am also 6-1 with larger legs, and the narrow seats are tight for me. My flights are typically $200 more for Comfort+ and since my frugal meter is about a 7 out of 10, I would only pay the extra $200 for a 4+ hour flight.
Some of delta’s 737-800s have a smaller seat back screen with a more basic flight tracker that isn’t interactive like this one. Unless you’ve recognized the tail numbers like I have, there’s really no way of knowing which one you’re going to get. I’ve been on 4 of their 737-800s. N384DA, N388DA, N3749D, and N3761R. The latter two had the smaller screens. On N3749D, they were broken. Apparently, N371DA to N399DA and possibly N3730B to N3743H have the larger screens. N3744F to N3773D definitely have the smaller ones.
Great video Jeb!! If you ever get the opportunity you need to try QF63 SYD-JNB. The 747 400 takes you over the Antarctic with breathtaking views. however the return QF64 is a night flight and doesn't go as far south.
It is really worth it. You have sky priority access, a lot of extra legroom, and you can choose your snacks on most classes. I always fly comfort+ and it is the best🤩
It is surprising that no one commented on the seat width; since that is the case, I will. The economy plus seat on Delta's 738s is the same width as the regular coach seats, and that is what, 17.3 inches? Rubbing shoulders with the neighboring passengers is inevitable and 3 X 3 seating on a single-aisle 'plane is not my idea of "premium" anything. Being 5'-7" the extra pitch is not a selling point, and passing a snack basket once during a four-hour flight also is not worth the extra money. Delta's IFE is nice, but not extraordinarily so. However, treat myself for vacation travel so I buy the economy plus seat for the priority boarding. Sorry, Jeb, but I cannot be as enthusiastic about Delta's economy plus product as you seem to be.
I understand what Miata is saying. I flew it from Las Vegas to Austin with a connection in St. Louis and I too was disappointed. The in flight service was not what I was expecting. On the first flight they did not offer cocktails just light refreshments and we got one snack. they never offered anything again. The next flight they offered drinks and snacks once and then we never saw them again. all while sitting right behind first class and seeing their truly attentive service. But there is significant price difference. I did appreciate the priority boarding and the dedicated bin space. And at 6’ 1” I absolutely appreciated the extra leg room. But did find the width to be snug. I am flying comfort+ again but with lowered expectations.
@@stevensteven5144 I just flew Comfort + today, and even though Delta promises dedicated overhead bin space, I was made to check my bag at the gate, and then had to stand in the jetway for 10 minutes after landing waiting for it to be delivered. The seats are very, very cramped. If I was taller, I would probably appreciate the extra leg room, but I'm an average height woman, so I don't think it mattered. I thought I would be getting more for my money than a tiny bag of cheetoes and some cheap wine, but that was pretty much it. I won't pay for it again.
Hi Jeb, Thanks for another great report. I enjoy Delta’s Comfort Plus, at 6ft 4inches tall I appreciate the ability to sit comfortably without the seat back in front of me banging my knees as so often happens in economy, so to me it is worth the additional cost.
My 6' husband is never comfortable in the main cabin seats, so we always book Delta Comfort from the start. We enjoy the priority boarding and being able to secure overhead bin space above our seats, and on evening flights, that complimentary glass of wine is really nice. All in all, we feel it's very worth the increased price, and on international/long flights it's a much smaller increase in price then going to Premium Select or gosh Delta One.
I really enjoyed comfort+ on my ATL - AMS flight a while back. If you get comfort plus on a transatlantic flight, I believe it’s even better! Keep up the stunning videos, my friend.
I really like the Comfort+ seats on Delta. Aside from the width it’s a bit in the middle of first and Econ. The FAs come around more often, plus drinks and snacks.
I agree with pretty much everyone else. I never travel economy anymore; just too damned cramped! now it's comfort plus or first. If I'm alone or with my GF I usually opt for first but if there's more than three of us it's just as good in comfort plus as we have the whole row to ourselves and you do get the option for food and cocktails, albeit at a price. Great video as always!
One thing I noticed in this video that I don't like about Delta is they don't have a physical bulkhead between First and Comfort. I don't like how it is left open.
Absolutely it's worth it! My husband and I are both pretty tall and we have plenty of leg room. We always purchase the Delta Comfort or United Economy Plus when we fly.
Traveled Comfort+ on multiple occasions. Overall their service has been great I do enjoy the priority boarding that also comes with you AMEX Delta Card.
Met you in bestbuy a few months back, where you purchased the Canon Lens. Glad to see your channel growing. Keep up the great videos on your road to 25k !
On a short flight I probably would not spring for Comfort+ but certainly on a longer trip. Those views on approach were stunning by the way. Great footage.
Fly coast to coast 5-6 times a year on Delta. I'm 6'2" so economy isnt much fun. Tried comfort class twice when they ran a price special so it was about $50 more round trip and even at that reduced price I didnt think much of it. Now it's $200 more and I would never pay for the upgrade. At that amount you are about 50-65% of the way to business or first but only getting a fraction of the comfort. I cant think of a single reason good enough to recommend comfort, but to each his own. You do get free drinks, but have to summon the stewardess to take advantage of it unlike first class. Bottom line if you really want to go comfort I would go first one way, economy back. Probably cost a little more, but first is so much better than comfort it's worth it.
Cool video, I’m doing a lot of traveling with Delta in the next 5 weeks. I imagine the seats for United Premium are the same for Delta. As a 6’2 beefy dude, I definitely need the extra leg room and width for the seat.
Hey Jeb. Bryan here. Hope you're well. I thought that you said your next trip was not until Oct.?That water was amazing. When I travel, my cabin choice is based on the length of the trip. My rule of thumb is anything less than 5 hours, I fly economy. Cross-county or over a body of water I'll book economy and upgrade to business class using my Delta Skymiles
Wowwoowoew thank you for showing us this video!! Because I always rode in economy class!! I didn't know that there is a premium economy class!! Okay from now, i always gonna go in premium economy class!!!
I just flew the new American Airlines premium economy from Rome to Philadelphia. Very nice! Bigger seat width and in a 2-3-2 configuration. I am a bit of a plus size and didn’t feel like I encroached on the person next to me.
Prior to the pandemic, my employer used to fly us on Delta (4-6 flights a month) and they'd always be in Comfort +. I enjoy the priority boarding and drinks of course but that extra legroom makes it all worthwhile. Plus I believe you earn a few more frequent flyer miles than with basic economy as well. Definitely worth the extra cash in my opinion.
How come I can't find a Delta 767-400 Premium select review? Everything seems to be Delta One. I am flying from ATL to Heathrow Premium Select and curious about this selection.
Yes, any upgrade that you can afford is worth it . Just like the Main Cabin on American Airlines. I would be happy to fly Delta but I am 300 miles away from ATL and only 90 from Charlotte NC. So you know what airline I am on all the time .
Delta Comfort was well worth the cost to upgrade, however on both my outbound and return flights, Delta gave my seats away to other passengers. I was not a happy camper! Flying to Europe again in March, and chose to upgrade to Delta One on the outbound and Delta Comfort on the return. Let's hope I get to keep the seats that I paid for!
I flew Delta Comfort +from SJO to LAX on a last minute upgrade in 2018. The flight was full, so the treatment by FA was comparable to economy. I own a sextant and compass. I don’t need a screen. Just free drinks and food.
The only thing I don’t is you could be upgraded to a middle seat which bites. Now if they did like AA and let you pick one 24hrs before the flight when you checked in then it would be awesome. Usually I’m just happy with an exit seat!
Jeb you mentioned that in Delta Sky Club was only available to you on your International flight to Bermuda because of your AMEX membership...but you have top tie Medallion status??? I’m Gold Premier on United and can use the United Club on International flights no matter what class of service I’m traveling...great review ...as I have opportunity to fly Delta from YVR in the near future.
Confort+ is worth it, paid $100 more ea way going Atlanta to Brussels, I am 6’3” and it’s necessary to have more leg room. Service was excellent. ***Jeb I share your passion for airplanes.*** I have Delta Platinum AMEX and need to pay for sky club, do you pay to get into Sky Club?
great video and content, as usual, Jeb (3 thumbs up) ...but it would've been nice to know how much extra the Comfort+ product cost you, vs. what a Standard Economy seat would've cost...
Awesome video Jeb. I would love to sometime try out Comfort + on my favorite airline Delta. Love the videos and personalized touch you have. Safe travels!
You didnt show how far back the seat reclines! That's the only reason I was interested in Comfort +, so I can actually sleep on long flights with a more reclined seat.
I'm overdue to see my parents in Tucson AZ--last time I flew anywhere was in 2014,DL from IAH-SLC-TUS,going home it was an MD-90 TUS-ATL,--MD88 ATL-IAH--looking at the Delta website, looks like they fly the 737-900 between ATL-TUS,am tempted to try out Delta Comfort for the 3hr jaunt for the first time
When did Korean Air quietly recommission 747's for the ATL-ICN transpolar? I was on one back in 2013 but they switched to A380s shortly after. Interesting double take for my eyes, too...
Not sure about short flights. Most of my short flights are direct less than 2 hours, but for long hauls, comfort plus is the minimum I would suggest, and yeah if makes a big difference on a 3 plus hour flight.
Great video Jeff. Love delta I've seated in comfort pluse and love it. It's either first class or comfort plus. They are both the same but u dont get a meal in comfort plus.. hope to see you in the skys one day.
Hi I had used Delta to fly to Argentina and used Delta Comfort. It was not much 2 years ago to upgrade , maybe $70 which was well worth the upgrade but it seems now it is much more...Not sure why?
It is worth it for long haul. I had from Seattle to Paris. Forgot to mentioned, free food I did not have to pay for anything. They gave bottled water on the trip.
I had it a couple of years ago on a Delta 717 and got as a gate upgrade (no membership). I knew about the free booze, but didn't take because it was too early in the morning. I did like the space, although I am a short person. I would like to try Delta's Premium Select or Delta One product though.
I think it really depends on the length of the flight. Anything 4 hours and up is well worth it, but you could do fine with basic economy on shorter flights. I personally have had one round trip with Comfort+ and the experience was mostly good with one problem. In December 2016, I flew from LAX to Guatemala City with my family for Christmas and then came back just before 2017 came. On the way back to LA, we got an entire row to ourselves and it was great. HOWEVER, on the way there, Sky Priority Boarding ended up being very problematic because we had to sit on the ground, in the plane (a 757) , for over 2 hours because there was a checked bag whose owner was not on board.
Yeah that sucks. I saw that and while it is annoying, there have been aircraft bombings in the past (PanAm 103, Air India 182), so it's better safe than sorry!
I guess if you have to share for the plug just have an extension/ strip so you can both use it. If its an international flight hopefully one of you have a universal adaptor so you guys can both use it.
This is a great video! And for the first time, I've purchased a comfort+ seat for my flight to Cuba! So I'm really looking forward to enjoying the amenities and benefits of a comfort+ seat!
Hope I don't get flamed for this. See that you used the sky Lounge. On Alaska you get access to their lounge if you pay for 1st class, why does Delta not do the same? Delta only gives access to the sky Lounge on overseas flights? Love all your videos.
Thank you for the information. When I received the notification from Delta about this program I was not inclined to add comfort plus. Now, after watching your video, I am more likely to do so. By the Way, Delta's website should list the extra benefits.
I’d like to see a review of Air Canada’s Business Class Cabin or Premium Economy. I really enjoy your reviews and would love to hear your opinion. Their 777 and 787’s are truely a great experience in my opinion. Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver are great hubs for almost all routings
I am 6’2”, so it’s almost become a necessity for me. I paid the extra fare on a Delta flight to TLV, and the extra four inches felt like an extra four FEET! Of course, JetBlue provides decent legroom without a surcharge.
Hi Jeb thanks for these videos! I am taking comfort plus on deltas 767-300 from Msp to lhr, I’d love to hear a review on a delta long haul in comfort plus
I've flown Delta Comfort+ on a long haul flight and paid about $150 extra for the seat 1 way and it was worth it. Hoping to use it again in October! Great video and Bermuda looks stunning!

Awesome video and nice landing, gotta love the reefs (I’m a resident of Bermuda)
Hey Jeb,yes I feel this is worth it,looked really nice to me.WOW that water was absolutely gorgeous in Bermuda, very nice!
Sounds pretty decent, and that water was stunning! You’re not an aviation fan if you don’t like the window seat...
I love the window seat
If I don’t have it I ask the flight attendant to move me
I don’t think is worth it on a short flight, I’m sure, though, on a long flight the extra legroom is very much appreciate
From Az to Florida do you think it’s worth it
I agree with that! A 2 hour flight on coach or economy would work fine with me but to fly to California, Alaska, or Seattle Washington economy plus would be the best option.
@@LuisVega-ze8xy no it only takes like 3-4 hours which is nothing compared to 6-20hr flights
If you’re tall you need it no matter what

*Worth noting:* You can also be upgraded to comfort plus using your miles or paying on the flights you want it in. While this can be done on main cabin tickets it can't be done on Basic Economy Tickets

miata149 So the “good parts” of it you ignore and only buy it to board early? That’s the stupidest thing I’ve heard all day. Only my opinion though.
May as well splurge for first if you're going on vacation, up to you if it's worth it

For about $100 each way from San Francisco to Sydney, AU the C+ option is an absolute steal when you are in the air for 16-20 hrs each way.
I did premium economy on Norwegian Airlines from Sweden to LAX. For $200 extra, it was well worth it. B787 👌🏼
Highly recommended
Another great video Jeb. I had to chuckle when I saw the two CRJ-200 jets behind your aircraft awaiting take-off at ATL.

Bottom line if you really want to go comfort I would go first one way, economy back. Probably cost a little more, but first is so much better than comfort it's worth it.
Short or long flight, I like to be comfortable when travelling. I will upgrade to comfort plus after watching this video. Thanks for sharing.
It can be $29 more, to $500 more depending on the route.
Thank you for you real and honest reviews. New subscriber. Keep me coming
Yes. I just booked JFK-FCO for April in Comfort plus. Always use it. Love it.
I got bulkhead on both legs.
Has no one commented in the actual price difference as a key factor for deciding to upgrade?? Pricing wasn’t really mentioned in your video Jeb
***Jeb I share your passion for airplanes.***
I have Delta Platinum AMEX and need to pay for sky club, do you pay to get into Sky Club?
Wow! Great video Jeb Brooks!
You were going to Bermuda? Yay you didn't disappear!!!
He can't I live in Bermuda and I always fly
great video and content, as usual, Jeb (3 thumbs up) ...but it would've been nice to know how much extra the Comfort+ product cost you, vs. what a Standard Economy seat would've cost...
Awesome video Jeb. I would love to sometime try out Comfort + on my favorite airline Delta. Love the videos and personalized touch you have. Safe travels!
Hi Jeb I flew on Delta's comfort plus in March to Argentina from Sacramento. It was really worth the cost to me.
You didnt show how far back the seat reclines! That's the only reason I was interested in Comfort +, so I can actually sleep on long flights with a more reclined seat.
Very nice and informative video! The color of the water is amazing! Go to Cancun or beaches in Mexico to see something similar
I have a stunning night approach to Mexico City on my channel If you like! BTW I subscribed and I'm looking forward to your next video
Love your videos Jeb. Yes comfort plus is worth it. Love DELTA.....
I generally fly Delta and always get a basic economy seat then upgrade to an exit row but now I know to go for the comfort plus
I love the premium seats looks better but still economy :) keep up your vids m8
Not sure about short flights. Most of my short flights are direct less than 2 hours, but for long hauls, comfort plus is the minimum I would suggest, and yeah if makes a big difference on a 3 plus hour flight.
Very professional review, subscribed
Would you recommend this from LAX to Sydney, Aus? Add: do the backs recline more than economy seating?
It was worth it to me. Very comfortable and plenty of leg space!
Hey Jeb, Love your Videos Keep up the good work!
I flew Comfort+ to Europe; it was quite nice!
What part of Europe? I'm doing JFK-LIS Jan 2020 in comfort+
Thank you for the information. When I received the notification from Delta about this program I was not inclined to add comfort plus. Now, after watching your video, I am more likely to do so. By the Way, Delta's website should list the extra benefits.
fast forward, 3 years into the future and comfort plus no longer get sky priority boarding anymore i dont think.
I was on a Delta 737-800 from KJFK-MDPC. I originally had Economy. However since the flight was Completely full, They offered Comfort+. No extra cost.
Your video tells me why I am right to choose the window seat!
Hi Jeb thanks for these videos! I am taking comfort plus on deltas 767-300 from Msp to lhr, I’d love to hear a review on a delta long haul in comfort plus
Great video! What video editing software do you use?
Cool video and what is the smothers airline that lands
