OMFG! So great to see someone playing such masterpiece on my favourite musical instrument. It actually helps a lot to decipher a little better this intriguing and mindboggling melodious pattern. To be honest, this remains pretty apocalyptic in this "more classical" approach. Please do more! Merci infiniment pour ce beau partage.
Yeah i wondered about that too. Their relationship to stress, tension, anger, confusion must be on another level. I've been listening to heavy and technical music for more than 20 years and i still can't really sit through an entire active listening of Destroyers of All. Too punishing.
I really cannot wait for their new album. The production quality and feel of the two new tracks sound like everything this band needs. Crystal clear production while sounding absolutely furious and frenetic as always
This is pretty amazing. Covers of metal songs usually sound really crappy transcribed to other instruments, typically because the chords and progressions are too simple, and without the sonic power of a guitar amp they just end up sounding weak. But this really sounds like it could've been composed by some demented modern piano composer! Just makes me respect Ulcerate even more.
Really? Care to name a few? Most of metal songs I know are compiled of difficult and well structured chord progressions, but if you're taking about nu metal and the more popular bm bands like cof, then I agree, but never DM bands. Those guys know music well I'd say
@@minttea6358 You do realize that metal developed from rock and roll, which developed from the blues, yes? The majority of metal (including death metal) is still mostly power chords following pretty basic progressions, just with a lot more gain and speed. DM does tend to incorporate a lot more chromaticism than typical rock/blues because of its dissonance, but that's about it. Death metal's origins in Possessed, Morbid Angel, and Death was mostly just thrash metal with growled vocals, and this was before technically advanced thrash started in the late-80s/early-90s. Most all metal musicians are self-taught, very few know any music theory, though there are exceptions.
This is insane. In general, these avantgarde metal piano covers tend to sound like 20th century classical modernism: Scelsi, Messiaen, Ustvolska, Ornstein. ua-cam.com/video/V1WaInjHUT0/v-deo.html
goes to show how you can take a perfectly good song and make it sound so sterile and crappy by playing it on a different instrument, despite your immense efforts (yes, i know piano is hard and it took you years of practice ...). A classic case of the robotic beta chopin versus the mystical alpha lizt. Did you know the act of a woman throwing her panties on stage was first practiced at liszt concert?
Well I'm sorry my crappy robotic transcription was not to your liking man, I tried to put as much soul as I could ! although I have to admit that some parts do actually sound "sterile" on the piano, this kind of music being very riff-oriented, it is hard to render well with a single instrument.. As for the alpha-player panties magnet, sure many good players are more praised for technique/skills than their sound/music, especially in such a demonstrative genre, and everyone has already seen videos of 10 y-o children nailing chopin and debussy's hardest pieces to perfection. But for every show-off on the station piano, there's someone actually inspired. I'm simply sharing my work with dm enthusiasts here, not much of a pianistic attention whore.
Jordan & Tommy Bonnevialle sounded great, dont matter what instrument its played on, its a badass song. I only really play guitar but its cool hearing a different take pn it. Dont listen to haters. One of the best covers ive seen on ulcerate maybe besides the guy who nailed cold becoming on the drums haha.
Whoa My FAVORITE ULCERATE SONG IN PIANO SOUNDS JUST AS BEAUTIFUL AND PERFECT AS THE ORIGINAL VER. HOLY SHIZZLE
Awesome cover! Hearing your version gives me faith in my transcription from years ago

I've watched this 3 times in a row. This is incredible
I cant stop watching either. This is a monster of a piano cover.
Some of the Artificial Brain cover yield the same effect. I have been on this channel for 2 hours now.

Incredible transcription, wish I had half an idea what was going on in their playing.
Thanks dude ! Not gonna lie, memorizing wasn't the easiest part haha
You need several brains and listens to understand what they're playing. But when you finally do? Oh my goooood 👌🤤
