I dont think your review is objective to the purpose of the car if you like. Why would you be comparing plug in hybrid to a Tesla or claim its electric power is too weak? This vehicle has a completely different purpose. Firstly, the electric motor is there primarily to work in hybrid mode, which you confirmed yourself is nice. Then, the max eDrive is there only as an option so the car can drive on electricity if you do short distances, and this is where usually cars use most of the gasoline. Also, if you do an extensive test of the car in auto eDrive, you will be surprised how good the economy of you i.e. 100km journey could be. Remember this is a plug-in HYBRID when you do your next reviews and not an electric vehicle, so comparing electric power between the two is not correct. Also it’s only discontinued in the US. If you are having iDrive crashing issues bring it to the dealer and tell them, they will update you to the latest software update which fixed a ton of bugs. Covered under warranty. There are new features as well. Also I’m not sure you understand how a PHEV works. You never “lose” horsepower and the battery never really goes dead. Even when your charge is empty a certain % of the battery is always maintained for hybrid mode, and eboost and hybrid assist is always available. You just can’t use EV only mode anymore. The ICE engine is never “on its own” as you say nor do you ever lose horsepower

Since it is discontinued, BMW will never fix any of the problems unfortunately. I shed I had leased it!
I’ve got a 2021 and had none of these issues. And it’s ridiculous to say bmw won’t support because it’s discontinued. They 100 % will cover anything under warranty.
For sure knows his shit. Love this sub.
18 miles only on electric?! C’mon man!! Why are we calling this an “electric car”? What are we paying for?! 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ -The Ultimate Failing Machine
Pass.
give me a x430e also a 430e might as well
Finally the Germans are starting to run into problems with their names thanks to an even greater need for differentiation between models. BMW X3 xDrive30e. Now you're stretching it. Time to start giving your car's an actual fuckin name and ditch letters and numbers? 🤣
This car seems like such a missed opportunity for BMW. It’s beyond me why BMW and Mercedes are choosing not to bring their all electric ⚡️ vehicles stateside. I think they’d be competitive in our market, despite their as advertised range
Im sorry for those that like present BMW interiors, but the fact is that they are a mismatch of fugliness.
Yeah... no
great!
This thing is due for a refresh. Bigly.
its incredible how BMW is still pushing this outdated interior design. It looks like the layout from a early 2000s Honda Civic. Just awful.
Outdated? Are you blind?
There’s NO OPTION for FAST CHARGE
DEAL KILLER!!!
No PHEV has a DC fast charging option. The batteries are so small it’s pointless
Ha Ha ... the look on your face trying all electric XL
Another money pit by fourth riech motor works...
The dumbest decision EVER. Too many X vehicles to start with then they get rid of the i3 and i8 instead if refining them in favor of yet another generic-looking SUV
Both those cars sold terribly in the US my dealership had some i3s sitting for more than a year
Those cars sold horrendously and value dropped like a boulder in water.
i3 and i8 needed to go. All the x models compete with other luxury brands. There's a size of car for everyone
You get what you get and you don't get upset
i4 and iX are coming. Get over the i3 it sold terribly here and it’s day is over. Real cars coming now
Hold my wallet🤨
I hate panoramic moonroofs!
I don't mind it. It brings a lot of light in and looks cool
Then close it?
Interior looks cheap compared to Genesis, Lincoln, Audi, Acura, Infiniti
Hahaha you really said Acura, Infiniti and Lincoln. What garbage.
Lol! Those brands are nothing but rebadged/re-skinned trash (Hyundai, Ford, VW, Honda, Nissan)
IF YOU WANT THE CAR TO STAY IN EV MODE BY A EV NOT A PLUG IN 😠😠
First
Yea, BMW sucks.
