What do you do with cash in envelopes that you dont use so much? We use the envelope system, but we ended up with $100 in toiletries and $100 in cleaning supplies at one point. Where we just dont spend it often enough, so I just wonder if I should maybe save for a "max" then once that's reached put it else where?

When I started budgeting in August, I only made $800, 850 after taxes. Start paying the minimums for credit debit and cut your spending, but still give yourself an allowance. You'll get there!!
I've been saving for christmad since Jan also, but I also have been taken money out of it. I would find a really good for someone and go ahead and buy it. So it's a win lose situation lol

I have gone through FPU, a few years back, I was doing really good, then went on a credit card and spending spree and racked up a bunch of debt, I paid a lot off, and made a plan, then again went on a credit card and spending spree... I need to go back to school and finish my degree so I can get in a better place financial incoming wise, but I keep falling off the wagon and each time I fall I get deeper in debt. Have you ever went through this? And what do you recommend? How do you not get tempted to take all the envelopes and do a splurge spend? ☹️☹️☹️
Shred your credit card so you won't have the temptation. Mentally take yourself out of that environment. Once you get tired of being in debt, you will have a passion to do anything necessary to change.
I think this needs to become a thing. old dogs are even more expensive with all the different health issues. We just put ours down and that was a very expensive month that none of us were ready for.
I split all of my bills in half. So my bill is actually $90. I have an unlimited plan from Verizon 🤷🏻♀️ But I also paid off my cell phone so I'm not having a payment for that.

If you are interested in Straight Talk, first look on their website if in your area where you live has good coverage because of cell towers.
I do a similar money transfer process but using zelle, its instant between my diff accounts. is it the same for you? or does it take time ? just curious. :)
I've heard of people using Zelle, I just haven't had the attention span to set it up. It takes a few days for money to go from my Wells Fargo account to my Capital one.
@@alyssamakesamigurumi Ok,why the 2 bank accounts? Is one a savings account and one a bank account? I have heard people say have lots of Bank/Savings accounts. I see the benefit of having more than one savings account. I used to have a Wells Fargo bank account. Opened a capital one bank account and moved all my money into the capital one and closed the Wellsfargo account for good. I was being charged for not using my account at least 10 times by swiping it. So,I was giving them $120 a year. I did not like that. Plus,all my bills were online,over the phone or auto pay. So,Wells Fargo just did not work for me.

Please just know that without proper correction, you could be dealing with bad arthritis issues with that knee in the future. I hope your pitty is doing well
