Yes indeed! I remember getting a chrome seat back fuel tank! 1964, was 8 years old! I was bad ass! Glad to see them racing. Miss the smell of BlenzAll!
Raced with Ives many times .. Was great times then ... ran twice at Medford ... wish I could do it all over again , the brotherhood of these guys was what it was all about .. GR
I started racing at Indian Dunes in Southern California in a Wasp by Bug, and then my dad and I later got two Scorpions by Bug, and I was sponsored by Bug (located in Irwindale, CA), as well as Bridgestone tires. My Dad, my brother, and I all raced Bug karts and raced at tracks like Indian Dunes, both Ascot Park tracks, Carlsbad, Ventura, Willow Springs, and Bakersfield. Those were some of the best days in my life. I did have an Italian made DAP motor, but my Yamaha was much faster on any day. Crazy thing, I used to race at Indian Dunes in the morning on Sunday, and then run up to the road course that was there and watch Bruce Jenner race on that track. He was pretty freaking amazing from what I can remember. BTW...Bruce was Bruce back then, so I went with who he was then.
used to race in chgo about 50 yrs ago i ran a pirelli B Bomb had lots of fun on a fiure 8 track that a bunch of us got together and built in cicero illinois
I raced all over 69-71 in my margay race kart, I won at new Egypt speedway n.J. wall stadium n.J. & many others,my kart is polished &spotless proudly today , take to show when can, the best built machine you can buy, still made today@!!!! mark. tresch .#87 .
Them karts with front steering had to be a suicide mission waiting to happen. Were Coyote karts not popular around there? When I raced in the early 90s you weren't winning if you were not on a free roller chassis.

that outboard kart is amazing! 👍🏻 love the video.Great to experience the roots of Karting history.
Awesome vintage Kart display, and great action scenes.... Very cool video!!!
I had a Dart but with hydraulic brakes. My first kart.
These videos made me go out and but a old race Kart and try it. Getting to creaky for constant vintage MX and Flat track motor cycle racing
The go kart with the outboard motor on it , was ripping
