Not mentioned but recommended:
-Cut the Aluminum Profiles at 45 degree angles in order to ‘hide’ the corners.
-Do not touch the contact points while electric current is flowing, you may receive a shock.
-The ceiling light can also be made into a rectangle (as the blog originally suggested) for a cleaner look with no viewable wires.
-Use the milky inserts (included with L-shaped alum profiles) for even more light dispersion, if needed.
-I use a spare ceramic tile for workspace since it's resistant to heat while soldering and cuts cleanly and without risk of flex, unlike rubber cutting mats.

After 2+ years found your video on the mod we did back then ^_^ Nicely done!!
Thanks for the video, really solve some question I had from the blog.
if you miter cut the aluminum profiles (45 degrees) the ends of them could touch like a picture frame so you couldn't see the wires and give a cleaner look.
@@CGxWhiteWolf bro actually you do...you have a miter box...that yellow plastic thing the hack saw is lying in on the video...its made to cut 45 miters...
My best
Ray
Hi, I tried looking at the original website and your English FAQ but didn't find any kind of a wiring diagram for everything. You mentioned the polarity of the poles briefly in the video but did not talk the polarity of the shelves. First, each shelf is wired together to pass the voltage through. Each side has a pair of positive and grounded connections. Do you connect only the positive terminal on the right side to the positive wireframe and then only connect the ground terminal on the left side to the grounded wireframe? Is that how it works?
@@CGxWhiteWolf Wow, thank you so much for taking the time to create those diagrams in mspaint, I appreciate it very much! Completely answers my question. I was originally confused on if you were supposed to leave one unconnected terminal on each side of the led strip on the shelves while feeding both sides opposite polarity. Now based on your diagram I know that will work. Thanks again, can't wait to try this out!
Can you run two of these off of one power supply?
@@CGxWhiteWolf Also, how long of a wire needs to go into the feet, and how far out did you have to unscrew them?
im currently running 2 shelves off 1 power supply for around 6 months, all good. make sure you have a good splitter
