You might not be far off on this. Since other games are affected and not all, I am guessing it's some quick programming copy and paste trick to bypass a few steps for better response time in the hopes something like this doesn't happen.

We used to be able to stay one windows version behind, M$ have stopped us from being able to do that, so now the advice is to stay one update behind !

I re-installed 23h2 because of this, this was crashing for me path of exile 2 and Marvel rivals after that no more crashes
