The advertising for this has been a little lackluster, since I didnt know about this game until this video popped up in my recommendeds. I'm a little concerned, but I'm going to hope for the best regardless.

I don't expect this to pay off. I have heard very little buzz about Last Defense Academy, even among the Danganronpa fan community. People just don't seem too interested. Hope to be proven wrong, even though I myself am not super interested in the game either. I did enjoy the Danganronpa games well enough, and I'd like to see this studio stay afloat

Danganronpa, even being popular amoung many, with some aspects of rpg, but focusing at "visual novel", still niche... the developer is trying new formulas, knowing you cant conquest people with only a text of mysteries and dating. Will The Dundred Line have ways to catch attention from many publics? i frankly think its not a bad gamble. They are going like Inteligent Systems with Fire Emblem series at 2012... the GBA, gamecube and wii games were targetting a niche public fans of chess rpg... they put all effort from every past games, including family/children system from a game that never got translation or launch in the occident.This controvertial mechanic, "dating simulator" Ironically, sky rocketed the results, for the "Last game" for the franchise.... who doesnt know of Three Houses nowadays?

They already missed the HL2 20 yr anniversary.. crazy

Couple of corrections: Half Life 1: 1998 Half Life 2: 2004 Half Life Alyx: 2020 --- Half Life 1 was originally released on the PC and is generally considered to be a PC game first and foremost. There are ports to console, with a PS2 port of the original, and a HL2 port to the original XBox. But these are mostly considered lesser cut back experiences to the PC versions. Half Life Alyx is currently PC only. --- Valve owns Steam. They are not separate companies. Steam was released around the time of Half Life 2 where Valve required players to have a Steam account to play the game. This annoyed many people at the launch (in much the same way always online annoys people). --- Anyway, glad you're keen on Half Life. There are some very commited fans of this franchise who have been holding out for the 3rd installment for 20 years (or at least a resolution to the episodes). Many of us are old and tired, but it's good to see revived interest.

Half Life 1 is actually better than Half Life 2. If you are going to get into these games, start with Half Life 1 (1998) or the remake Black Mesa. Believe it or not, original holds up much better than the sequel (even with the clunky 98 graphics). This isn't to suggest Half Life 2 is bad, it's amazing too. It's just that the subtle Mist inspired horror of the first game, mixed with a Die Hard-esk unknown protagonist, mixed with the military ramp up in the latter part of the game .... they didn't recapture these aspects in HL2, but they the core aspects that made Half Life, Half Life. Quite a few fans of Half Life want a resolution to the HL2 story arc, just so the game can return to the style and tone of the original. Here is hoping Half Life 3 does that.

I did not have problem with female custodes, it is how they were implemented. with good story writing it could have been a nice include, however just saying "there have always been female custodes." was lazy and an obvious pander to political pressure

The issue is that American CEO’s chased profits for so many years without remorse at the detriment of their established homeland. AMD and Nvidia are American companies. If tariffs happen again to raise prices the only people we have to blame are ourselves. Cheap prices came at a cost that we are feeling now when times are tough. I hope manufacturing comes back to this country for important components for the many machines people use daily. Especially computer tech. Intel needs investment in their foundries so badly. Their issue is somewhat theirs, but at the same time there is no reason why their foundries couldn’t be more competitive to be manufacturing ARM chips, GPUs, etc. I hope this happens.
