- Who remembers when I said I was fishing the largest river in America whilst fishin' the Missouri River? Tons of comments, and lots of folks correcting me.. Even though I believe the Missouri is the fastest, and seemingly the most dangerous, there is one that is larger.. The M-I-S-S-I-S-S-I-P-P-I. My buddy Clint and I drove 6 hours to hop on a barge, only to find out it was a John boat, that lead to the sketchiest dock I've ever stepped foot on. Luckily, we lived to tell about it, and the fishing was Fuego. PAAA POWWW!!!

My kind place! I could smell that dock, barge. Old wood, soaked in river water. With the smell of fish and moisture! I could live there!
You have to see it when the smallies school up really heavy in August and chase shad, it gets pretty insane, a bit north from where you were
I live near by wanna go to the best dam fishing flout together I have been following you for about 3 years good fishing down there big flatheads and walleye!
You should have went to the cement wall on the dam and fished your swim baits and jigged the wall. Whaleyes for days!! We take our bicycles and ride the levy to that wall and just fish the damn all day. Fished this spot lots of times!

Fished floats like that when we were kids for walleye. We vertically fished straight down from the float with blade baits tied in the middle hole. Old river rats would catch 5 to our 1, but it was fun.

Thanks for the video Josh. BTW, The Missouri is longer than the Mississippi, especially if you measure them to at the confluence in Saint Louis. The Missouri drains a much larger area that gets less rain. Average water volumes at the confluence are similar. If you want to say the Missouri is bigger that's okay with me. 😜
