      @@ME-pw3kc did you replace the line from the booster to the vacuum tree? Maybe the check valve on the booster is bad?

      @@anthonyiacomino5557 just tested it and the valve holds pressure. when i first started it, it was unpluged. it holds strong with the engine off but when i start it seems like a vac leak everytime i push down the brakes.

    Good camera shots and the process is explained clearly.
    7:03 to 7:29 should have been cut
    same with 7:49 to 9:02 . That's nearly 2 minutes that could of easily been shaved off. I used to include that wrench turning in my older videos, but newer ones I cut all that out. My reasoning being that the viewer does not need to see that.
    You referred to "nuts" as bolts.
    other than that solid video.

      Yea there are quite a few things that I've been leaving in because people have commented that they want to see the whole process. And I figure people can just fast-forward if they need to. We appreciate the feedback! 🤟

      I appreciate the kind words brother but the length only helps if there are more ads in the video. We try not to put too many ads, because it would be annoying to watch a ton of ads while trying to work on your vehicle. UA-cam only pays out if people see an ad, not necessarily how long the video is.
      Either way, we really appreciate the kind words and are very very glad to hear these videos help you all. The main goal is to help everyone save some money. We all have full time jobs, so at this point we are just taking the UA-cam revenue and putting it right back into the channel. We have a ton more content coming out soon so stay tuned! 🤟

    I wish you would have shown detail of there that black bushing came off. Is that the first thing that goes on the post when putting it back together, or is it between the clips of the brake switch??

      Dude it took me few minutes! The editing in this video made it look simple, but it's difficult to figure out because you don't have a good angle to see it. But just try to get your flathead screwdriver in there and then twist. That should separate it just enough to allow you to pull it out.
      Let me know how it goes! 🤟

    What bout bleeding them ?

    • @TrickShiftGarage
      @TrickShiftGarage  9 місяців тому +2

      You don't need to bleed your brakes if you don't disconnect your master cylinder from the brake lines. You can unbolt the master cylinder from the brake booster and then pull it slightly forward. This will give you enough room to pull the brake booster out. Hope this helps! 🤟

      On a van with a V8 there is no room to move the M/C out of the way you will need to remove it and bleed the lines after reinstalling.

  • @thomasriopelle5384
    @thomasriopelle5384 Рік тому +1

    If you are not replacing the master cylinder you don't have to remove it just move it forward

    • @TrickShiftGarage
      @TrickShiftGarage  Рік тому +2

      That's correct. I believe I said that in the video, but if I forgot please let me know so I can put it in the description!
      Also, make sure you don't move it too much, as that could bend the brake lines more than you want (and if they are rusted, you could snap a line).

    • @TrickShiftGarage
      @TrickShiftGarage  Рік тому +2

      I actually have a video coming out on that soon and it will explain exactly where the white washer goes, as well as the black grommet. I'm trying to finish up editing it now and hope to have it released in the next couple of weeks.
      I'm also working on the RABS Module replacement video, and brake lines. A ton of content coming for these trucks!

    How long did this take to do

    • @TrickShiftGarage
      @TrickShiftGarage  4 місяці тому

      Well, that's kind of hard to say because I had to focus on getting the right camera angle, while making sure the lighting was correct, amongst other things. So, this took me longer than normal. But if I was to do it again off camera, I imagine I could get it done in under 2 hours to be honest.

    So I took apart the brake pedal from the booster inside and it was missing one of the pins and the bushing and white piece. Any idea where I can get replacements? Im not even sure what to ask for.

    • @TrickShiftGarage
      @TrickShiftGarage  11 місяців тому

      Hello Joe, so I've been searching and found a website that sells all three pieces for a older Mustangs. Ford is famous for using the same parts on all of their vehicles, so I'm going to assume this kit will work. It looks identical too!
      www.npdlink.com/product/mounting-kit-brake-light-switch-incl-1-push-road-bushing-1-rush-rod-spacer-1-retainer-clip/207964
      If you happen to order it, be sure to come back and let us know how it goes. I'm sure more people would like to know too!
      BTW, you could also stop by your local junkyard and pull those pieces off of an older F150. That's probably the cheapest route, but more work. Let us know how it goes!
