Drawn to Life was some of my favorite games way back when, drawing everything in the game from your character to buildings and even the enemies was the whole gimmick. There was another game that tried to do this same thing called Artisans I believe that never made it off the ground, but this ones got potential. I need it.

Some blade have that groove going down the center to allow the blood of the unfortunate soul to more easily drain out and i found it interesting you did the holes to serve the same purpose although im not sure if that was the intent lol
Nope blood grooves are a false myth, or there purpose anyways, the use was just to reduce the weight of the weapon without reducing the strength and range of it

There's actually been a few games like this before - Drawn to Life in particular comes to mind, but also things like BlastWorks and to a more limited degree Scribblenauts - but they were only simple, 2D, single-player experiences (platformers and a shoot-em-up). So a 2.5D survival game is certainly a step up from that, I think? ...Actually, come to think of it, there WAS one game that tried to do drawn-to-life in full 3D, and was a beat-'em-up. Can't remember what it was called, unfortunately, but I believe you made creatures out of clay and could use them to either fight for you or transform into.
I had a machete with that sort of look, between each groove the blade curve was opposite creating a form of saw, it was good for dealing with saplings and vines.
Scrap Man, let me just tell you, you have the best imagination and mouse-drawn art skills I've seen in the gaming category. I wish I could think like you. I will use what you have designed as an example to start my adventure in this game (keep in mind that I won't copy you exactly, I will just design things similar to what you have done with a little to a lot of changes.) i remember my childhood had a game where u can draw ur gun or melee or whatever u want then select that are the weapon gun or melee or throwing melee or car or shooting car =) and u can customize the characterr too like that it was awesome game
I believe you do get more resources using the tools as well as speed and the higher the material the more the stats . I'm fairly sure you can build a house from wood if you wanted to, maybe or changed in an update but I've seen it in a video
