I didn't think jersey was in the UK 🇬🇧? I read it's a British crown 👑 dependency along with Guernsey and the Isle of Man. They are part of Britain but not the UK 🇬🇧. They are part of the Common travel area that forms Ireland 🇮🇪, UK 🇬🇧, Isle of Man 🇮🇲, Jersey 🇯🇪 and Guernsey 🇬🇬 so it's not 'Carribbean in the UK 🇬🇧'. Sorry I just thought I'd get that out there ha ha 😂.
Enjoyed the brief glimpse of the Watersedge Hotel in Bouley Bay. Standing outside the front steps during a break, summer of 1963, a man walked from the beach with a rod and tackle over his shoulder followed by a spectacularly beautiful girl. My friend asked him, "What did you use for bait?" Thanks for the memory and the never failing chuckle.
I was there last week! For some reason I always watch youtube vids of places I have been to AFTER I come back, I never think of researching a bit before, but seeing the spots I have been is also fun....
I will visit Jersey some day without Hongkonger. A Hongkonger just moved to Jersey last year for his business, I am considering whether I can come over.
Hey you Love Birds, Thank You for the video, I live in the States, but plan on visiting friends in the Motherland, In October I am going to see if we can change our plans to visit Jersey or Guernsey. I have seen most of Britain, and we were thinking of going to Scotland, but after watching these videos and then Guernsey Potato Peel Pie on Netflix, which I think was filmed in Cornwall, I am gagging to visit a channel island ! I don’t think it’s anymore expensive than London. Wish me luck, Cheers
This was amazing, it brings back memories of my trip 5 years ago May and I have to agree with you beautiful island. The people are very friendly and the food is very good as well and I was just blown away by the history of Jersey 🇯🇪❤️ I hope to return soon. Thank you for this video 😘
Couldn't help but laugh at the thumbnail xD In regard to pronouncing the place names, you need to remember they are French names. You therefore need to pronounce them in French basically, not English, so some letters near the ends of word may be silent etc. Mount Orgueil is a tricky one though, I have had heard some hilarious pronunciations of that, yours wasn't the worst haha. You missed some other small beaches that are very cool. There is one in particular that really can look like a tropical island on the right day. If you come over again, go on google maps maybe and go round the coast looking for the small beaches.
