@@TINKcustoms It come from a junk yard i was trying to get it running but found out it would only turn over about half a turn. Then i saw a crack in the valve cover about where the timing chain would be. So i took off the valve cover and could see where the chain contacted the cover. So in my mind the timing chain jumped and probably bent a couple valves. I took the spark plugs out and one and three piston comes almost to the top. So it needs timing chains and some valves at best. But i think its toast
Hi there - excellant on the Custom - quick question - have any idea how many ounces of fork oil each stock tube takes before adding air? and is the air 18 lbs? thanks !
Never tried shortening forks before :/ How hard can it be?!
Amazing
@@BlueSquatchproductions as always, just a question of finding a tutorial which explained how to but also the physics of the matter to some degree.
Interesting to discover #howto shorten the forks and the logic behind it all. Saves swapping the forks out on this project.
Thank you got my answer about one min in on how to get these off. Also 81, 750 from northern Canada so I think the air forks are stock
Glad you found it helpful. Are you modifying your 81 or just restoration/maintenance ?

I forget how much fluid I put in but I probably put more as I had removed the air system. Your answer is probably on the CB750 forum. www.cb750.com/
@@TINKcustoms Thank You !
5:56 is that a petcock for the kz650 if so how do i message you for it
I don't think it worked for the KZ which is why I had it lying around. I ended up rebuilding the petcock on the KZ
AHa, not a #forkswap, but shortening forks. Sounds complicated.
Potentially yes. Having found some good videos on the subject and got my head round it, it seemed to work out fine.
