Every RV is going to have problems, but having great responsiveness from the manufacturer and dealer makes all the difference. Great to hear from folks having a good experience!

Good to hear positive comments about Thor. There are plenty of negative comments out there.
So important to choose the right dealership. Bought an entry level Thor class C from The RV Shop in Baton Rouge,LA. It had one problem after another and was unavailable for 9 months of the first year. Our dealer negotiated with Thor for us and we were upgraded to a better unit for the same price. We did provide detailed documentation and information, very important! Actually went a bit overboard with that. We presented them with a 3 ring binder full of spreadsheets, time, dates and photos. 😂
Here goes, we’re from central Illinois.2023 we were looking for a good used diesel pusher. With low miles. We found one in Jennings Louisiana, from an older couple. We flew out there, I went over everything. Found a few issues that I knew I could fix.(back up camera wasn’t working.) we bought it and drove it back to Illinois. It’s a 2013 Thor palazzo 33.1 diesel pusher. Had 17,500 miles on it. It now has 26,500 miles on it. We do maintain it. It’s kept in a heated pole barn. We haven’t had one issue with the engine, or the coach. We’ve made a few cosmetic changes to fit our likes. We flat toe a Jeep Trailhawk and you can’t even tell it’s back there. We’ve been all over the United States with it and absolutely love it. We’re in our early 60s and look forward to many trips in 2025.

They all have issues. I bought a Brinkley Z3400 and it is an absolute lemon 🍋 But when the Brinkley gives you lemon, I made lemonade. Brinkley’s customer service has been awesome. I would love to own a Newmar someday. We will see. 246 days until retirement 🎊 🎉

2) We have a Thor…our “entry level” 2014 Hurricane. When we upgrade, we will still consider a Thor as we don’t have any complaints about the brand. Sure, we’ve had issues as you do with any RV, but nothing to keep us from considering a Thor.

I had a Thor Tellaro. Loved it. Needed some repair work and the service department from where we bought it drug their feet for nearly two years. I called Thor to interceed and they took care of it within two weeks!! Great experience with them & my Tellaro. ❤
Same experience we had. Dealer would keep saying waiting for parts from Thor. I called Thor they shipped the parts to me within a week. I ended up fixing the Rv myself instead of waiting for the dealer to lie and take their time.

We bought a Thor windsport in Georgia brand new 2023 on a trip to Alaska we had so many problems that our trip got cut short and ended up at factory. Thor sent a driver to during Rv back for repair. The mechanics totally gutted Rv rebuilt . Took it to ford for repair and it got recked. They had it all summer while we are making payment’s. Took Rv to Kentucky for a wedding. Sewer was leaking all over in basement. We had had enough. Traded it in and bought a New Mar. this Rv puts Thor totally to shame , and the warranty center is class act.one of the biggest problems with any gasser is getting someone to work on them. Thank god I can handle most all repairs although I shouldn’t have to. Beware of Thor and make sure you have a repair center. The dealers talk the talk but will not walk the walk. Good luck.
Class A Thor Tuscany 40 FX 2013. We bought it in 2014 with 9k miles. We have had routine problems, but otherwise have really enjoyed using part time and now full time past two year. Would like to get it to NIRVC for a few maintenance items but other than that we are very happy with our Tuscany.

We have a Thor Venetian DP and love it!! Bought it used and the only issue we’ve had was when we hit a limb that caused a leak. It hit the awning, which pulled it away from the body. Love the diesel!!!
Nice video. Some people go into RV lifestyle as if it’s going to solve everything wrong in their life. They think because they paid a lot for the RV that nothing is going to break. People like that live in a dream world. This couple that you interviewed are realistic with both feet on the ground. RV life is not perfect, but it is very enjoyable. Rigs need to get fixed from time to time. That’s just the way it is.
And we are doing it together, with my bestie and making more as we go

After repeated slide issues, we replaced the schwintech on our Thor Miramar with the Vroom slide system. We get so much more enjoyment with our coach without having to worry about another slide failure.
We have a 2020 Thor Miramar and we love it.

Awesome! We travel in a THOR 24 ft on the Mercedes Chassis and we love the floor plan. However, there has been some issues, but we are on top of them by finding a fix and upgrading! Great Video and great information. Thanks for sharing and safe travels!

I have a Thor Sprinter 24 MB and Thor was excellent handling the few repairs that were needed. I had service done by Camping World even though I purchased at General RV, I had body work repaired at Country Motors by you and a mobile tech took care of a faulty heater. Thor paid for all of it.
Thank you so very much for doing this interview!! It’s so helpful because I went through a few Thors at a local RV show back in October and fell in love with the Inception, thinking it would be so fun to have that when my husband and I take our gkids along. Coincidentally, our 16 year old grandson and our 8 year old granddaughter were along with us for the show. They loved it too, saying which bunk they would like. Plus we have two more gkids and we could bring all along but probably lose our sanity in the process, lol! I really appreciate your videos. I have heard all the negatives about Thor and it’s nice to hear something positive. We currently have a 2020 Tiffin Phaeton and it has not been problem free, to say the least. Before that, we had a 2017 Tiffin Red and it had several issues too so I think they all can have problems no matter the manufacturer. Question for Heather: does she drive the Pasadena and if so, does she like driving it? How are the seats? Thanks!
We are working on her driving it. She will move it but so far not on the highway. It seriously drives better than a modern pickup

I own a 2021 Thor, i love my camper. However, having owned 5 different campers, class A, C , tow behind none have come without issues. Our Chateau 31W has yield great memories.
Glad that Blue Ox was used to inspect their ordered coach and was passed on. Using them as resource on the second buy but doing it yourself was an interesting way to save money and looks like it turned out OK. Thor, as mentioned in some of the comments above, is a large holding company with subsidiary brands that somewhat stand on their own. The fact that different people at various price points have had differing satisfaction levelsis not surprising. I somewhat believe that all the manufactures are catching on to the fact that consumers are generally unhappy with the quality and are trying to rectify the problem. I still the believe the real problem is at the large box retailers whose only goal is to sell the units they represent, move the units off the lot and customer satisfaction is way down the list. Just read your big box sales contracts and they all disavow any responsibility for problems and say they only sell the RV but it's the manufacture who is responsible. States vary on consumer protection law, but most of the sales contracts will say the laws of the state where the RV is manufactured apply and, that for the most part, is Indiana, Alabama and Iowa. Very manufacture friendly . I think the UA-cam influencers like Endless RVing, Liz etc. have done more to expose the problems and make the manufactures come around than the lawsuits manufactures face on regular basis. The dealers however, still seem to care less.
after I yanked out my hot water lines, outside shower and hot water heater and cold water tank and redid the cold water feeds for shore water. and blocked the hot returns, and bypassed the hot water heater and just go with cold to the sink, toilet, shower, I have a leak free shore water feed and really enjoy it.

I Love my 2018 Thor Venesian 40a Cummings diesel 8.9 isl, I bought it with 5,000 miles is 2020 , I average 10,000 miles a year between Car shows, drag races and family vacations, we drove it from Laurinburg NC to California July of 2023 , I do all the maintenance myself and the most major issue I had is the basement floors in a few of the compartment floors that I cut out and replaced myself, I use mine too often to let it sit In dealerships service , the owner before me had some slide issues and upgraded some of the hardware and mine have been great. Of course I’d love to have a newel but that not in my price range but I’m happy with my Venesian.
I want to pile on the Thor positive bandwagon… RV’s are complex machines, and they will have problems. Its how these issues are handled will determine the level of customer satisfaction. We are on our second motor home, our first was a (non-Thor) class C and our current is a 2024 Thor Challenger we bought new. Yes there were a few issues found after we took delivery, but our dealer, Motor Home Specialist in the DFW area have been great to work with and most our issues were taken care of on the first trip to the dealer. Quick and efficient work by the techs. We did not miss any camping/traveling plans due to shop visits.
Yes I would buy another Thor and I would get it from Motor Home Specialist.

Another great video, before we purchased our Renegade Verona I had our eyes on a Thor Magnitude but after talking with some Ford service reps we decided to pass on that model. But it was a great looking RV.

I purchased a 2022 thor class a m29 windsport with 7k miles on it, basically new, as soon as I got it home, I noticed a leak under the slide, I seald the lower slide trim, that took care of that, then I noticed a leak coming in top of slide midway and another one above driver seat corner dripping down the sun shade privacy blind, I checked in the area to see who sells thor motorhomes and google said that camping world does, I called them and asked to speak with someone that can tell me type of sealant to use to try and seal the other 2 leaks on the roof and was connected with a woman on the phone, explained to her what information I needed, she immediately said that I would need to setup an appointment to come in to have one of their techs look at it, I repeated myself to her again that I needed to find out type of sealant to use as I did not want to mix the wrong sealant as I know that mixing some that are not compatible is not good, but she basically blew me off with the same answer, telling me again that I needed to set up an appointment to go in and basically I guess pay them to answer a fairly simple question.
I then asked what is the warranty on these units, she told me 1 year and that was it, I asked her what about engine and transmission, she basically said that I had to check with ford, she was not very nice, I will never call them or go to them for anything going forward, not helpful at all. The rv has some other issues that I need to address, but I'll have to do it some other way cuz after they sell them and the one year is out, it seems you're on your own. Too bad....

The biggest mistake I ever made in my life was purchasing a motorhome from General RV in Tampa (Dover) Florida. They are the absolute worst in my humble opinion
Thor has been great with us in our class b. General RV on the other hand hasn’t been great!

Great video, really good information. We had a Thor Quantum WS31 before we bought the Newmar. Had it almost 2 years. No really bad problems some things they could have done better. Like they said, all manufactures have some issues. I personally love these videos, hearing positive stories from real owners is great. Keep up the good work, maybe Missy and I will run into them in Tampa in the Newmar area, you know will be looking over there, LOL😂😂

Purchased a brand new 2023 Thor Tuscany 45. Over 350 defects, in shop entire first year. Will be releasing a documentary when litigation is finished. What type company makes you sue them?
My opinion. If you have to all the suspension, sound dampening and other changes described to get the RV to where you want it to be it doesn’t sound like a great rig. I RVed for 10 years so I’m aware of the fact that there are going to be issues but they shouldn’t be structural issues or things that will cost hundreds or thousands of dollars to make right. If I had to drive to Indiana to get things fix on a new coach I couldn’t describe it as a great experience.
Didn't have to, wanted to. It is not a diesel pusher, there will always be more noise when the motor is up front. That said class A doesn't work for us. Pulling capacity, looks and safety just doesn't work. But to each their own.
@ You wanted to drive to Indiana to have things fixed on a new RV? Beyond the trip you spent the time and money to do the other thinks because the RV was lack the things you want. Of course it’s your money to spent how you want but this (again, my opinion) seems to run counter to being very pleased with the RV as delivered. Enjoy and stay safe.
It is out there over the winter, let them fix the minor things while I can't use it. I think you will find all RV's, houses all have kinks to work out year one.

I still wouldn’t buy a Thor, or any company they bought. They all are not crap! But I would not take the chance, maybe I’m just a Cora spicy 🌶️. Ever since I heard that Thor spies on the owners 🤷🏼♀️I was not interested in that brand. Maybe they don’t , it’s just the cost of these brands, that they should be problem free. Also would not get the SR V chassis, if I’m saying that correctly. I’m glad they have had a relatively small issues. 👍🥰

I can't stand THOR, REV Group, Winnebago etc.... because of post Covid build issues being much worse than pre-Covid. However I can say that Fleetwood's (REV Group) phone support is incredible. Our Flair was a pile of junk that was put together with staples, furnace issues, plumbing issues and bad slide mechanism that the dealer could never handle but over the phone with Fleetwood they walked me through fixes and we handled it together. I still got rid of the RV but I hope Fleetwood support continues on as they are, great bunch of folks, now if only they could build them better.
Your kids come home from elementary school, get you sick. They come home from college or military boot camp in our case) and get you sick. Dern kids haha.
Thor has been putting out substandard RVs for years. I can't believe tiffin has allowed a buy-out by this substandard company!

I feel like RV manufacturers are more likely to take care of content creators than “regular customers”.
My Brother recently bought Thor class A, had an immediate issue with the drivers window, the dealership hem hawed finally stating they called the manufacturer that stated it's not a warranty repair. Being the "Risk Attorney" he is, he called Thor and spoke to the CEO who put him on hold, and confirmed the service department did not call Thor as they stated. Within the next few days he was called to drop off the coach for the window replacement. Last week the rear A/C began to make horrendously loud banging when on, he went back to the dealership that again attempted to duck the repair, he called his new buddy, they replaced the A/C but the wrong one, my brother tested it before leaving noting they replaced the front and not the rear, short story they replaced both units with new Coleman Mach's. A lot of the BS is from the Dealers, yes there are problems in manufacturing, but even with my Tiffin Class A the dealer I bought it from tried denying warranty claims, calling Tiffin got the issues resolved quickly.
I believe there is an ongoing NHTSA investigation of Grand Design. Yeah, some negativity is deserved.
Definitely you will get complaints from people who spend several million dollars and it's not the RV it's the personalities of people with that much money. I used to work for one ooof
I hate Thor. I called about a curious question and there customer service lady that I talked to was automatically defensive. All I wanted was just to know if my water heater was acting normal?
Every RV has problems. Thor just has most of them.
