Honda CB500X a middleweight adventure-tourer from the brand has finally arrived in India. It's the first adventure bike from Honda for India while it was launched in 2016 worldwide. No wonder Indian roads have an extremely high accident rate. There seem to be no rules at all on lane discipline, overtaking or positioning. Everyone seems to go where they fancy. I'm really surprised there are not even more accidents. The average European driver or rider would find this totally chaotic and extremely dangerous.
4-5Lakhs on road is perfect for 500X. Electronics are almost like non existing. Honda should decrease the price to record better sales.
Best first ride review. Very detailed, less of specs but more of practical experience. Good job!
When the ktm490s hits the road, it'll have shit ton amount of technology will have more horses maybe equal or more torque and might be affordable than this. Then honda is gonna have to cut the price like the bmw310s & Kawasaki ninja300. Or simply they can just discontinue it because "ab bikta nahi hei re😬".

@@iqbal5286 only a mad person would spend over 7.5 Lakh on road for bike, in comparison the 390 ADV makes much much more sense, it gets full tft display, quickshifter, traction control, theses things are not even available on the versys 650, and the Power of the 390 ADV is almost the same the 500X but due to the less weight of the ADV it is actually faster lol
@@Motor_.MantraYT If you are looking for power that is horsepower - you are talking about sportsbikes. ADV bikes are more about Torque. Try to go uphill on 6th gear/5th gear. This is definitely a good bike - Except price is too high :(
@@drwangdi well yk The torq Output of both the bikes are almost the same? And neither the ADV 390 nor the 500X will do a uphill climb on 5th or 6th gear, they simply don't have enough torq in the lower revs, plus include the weight of the rider while doing a hill climb, it greatly reduced the speed at which you ride :)
how many versys300 or ninja400 you spot in your entire life ? cb500x will be same
Very good first ride honest review, what a neat looking typical Honda it's always such a Japanese looker, proud and smooth ! How are vibes when you twist the throttle and what could be the probable top end of this Honda...

The problem is India's import tax raising the CB500X selling price to $8,708 cost of the bike or $1,608.00 more than the price in America? They are protecting their Royal Enfield and other motorcycle industry from foreign competitors.

At 6 L on road the Benelli TRK & at 7.9 L on road the Versys respectively , definitely make more sense....

Yes I get it that the cb500x is priced very dearly, but I wouldn't say it's high by a Lakh or 2. I would have preferred it at around 6L for the quality and finesse it offers.

8L ₹? Really? Versys 650 will be better option than this! Even the 3L ₹ interceptor for cruising & 3.5L GT650 is great! Not worth the price

I have done about 5000+kms in 3 months and i thoroughly enjoy it. Long journey and daily commute this machine is just perfect. Its the best buy for me in Thailand. The price over here is cheaper than KTM390.
I would suggest you guys come over and buy it off in Bangkok and ride it off across the border. Its 220K baht

V strom 650 is the best for hardcore off and on the road at similar price.
Not similar price. Its more than 2l more expensive. And Suzuki spares and service are far costlier. So another 1 lakh difference over 5 years.
It's cheaper by 1.08 lacs now!

Great review and thank you! So, if the Honda CB 500X was only 25% more in cost than a BMW G310Gs, would the Honda justify the extra cost over the baby GS? And putting the difference in cost aside, and having tested both the baby G 310GS and the Honda C500X, which do you feel is the better bike overall?
G310GS more nimble, slightly better suspensions, More recognizable premium brand.
CB 500x better power band.
The CB 500x is a better bike, no doubt but not if it is more than 15-20% expensive than the BMW.
right now it is priced almost double of the BMW here.
@@shadow_realm47 Thanks! I'm in Australia where the G 310GS is A$8,500.00 ride away and the Honda (2021 model) A$10,500 ride away. So roughly 20% more over the BMW. When the 2022 model is released I'd expect the price of the Honda to climb by a few hundred dollars as well.
Honda has a great name for reliability and cheapness of service; some think it a bit bland and soulless. With the BMW you get access to their wide range or accessories, - not just the bike but the clothing and helmets etc, and BMW also run riding events in different parts of the country as well as off road training and BMW riders clubs. So there's a lot of additional 'extras' with the BMW brand.
About the only real criticism of the G 310GS for countries like Australia, is that it is down on power to maintain highish cruising speeds on the highway. It can do it, but you are pushing it and having it revving constantly hard, where the Honda is more relaxed being a twin and with more torque.
At least that is from review - I hope to be able to ride them both soon once the 2022 Hondas arrive, as we are slowly coming out of lockdown and able to test ride bikes again.. :-)
310 gs has tiny 12 litr fuel tank and consumes more fuel,not suitable for long rides‼️
Which one would you recommend between this and Benelli 502 or 502X?
Benelli 502 is heavy, 500x is light
Refinement of Honda 500x is way ahead than benelli
Benelli seat is slightly comfortable. But that's alright with Honda
Due to heavy weight benelli has a good road grip but makes it difficult to manauver.
I think with price factor aside, Honda 500x is much better.

The price of the bike is definitely a big let down since you’ve some many better options at the same price in the market like the Versys 650 for one which is loaded with much more features and tech.
More features and tech? Like what? And the price which is higher for Versys. So where is the advantage? Also, a 650 cc bike in the chaotic traffic on indian roads is too much.

Honda's sub 500cc cbs getting double discs & USD forks in 2022 models. Recently launched in Europe
@@SuryaKumar-xs7bj Yes and for good reason . The average speeds are higher on EU thoroughfare , also the EU have higher standards set for products.
USD forks are not good for tattered roads in South Asia.
Invest time to update your knowledge and vocab , the fairing is between half to quarter not 'bikini' fairing.
I want the weed Honda management was on when they were deciding the price.
Not a good review..The suspension as set by the company is soft and the reviewer seems to be confused as to whether the suspension is firm or soft. The seat height for all ADV's are on the higher side & it isn't something that needs a special mention.The important thing to mention was ground clearance which is less for this bike when considering its an ADV. Pls come up with better reviews and better reviewers..

No.. Dhanil is very critical about Honda. You can see his H'ness and 350 RS. He whines more than other reviewers.
People those who have ridden the CB500X absolutely love the bike. If the same bike is made in India, it will cost less and becomes a better proposition.

An adv tourer is always better off with a sleeker body. Easier to maneuver, easier to handle and easier to lift at times of falls.
Also, this motorcycle has a much better centre of gravity than the benelli.

@@nishantmhatre4582 I completely agree on the pricing. The versys is a much better vfm proposition. The cb500x s a bit too over priced. But personally, based on the video and reviews I have seen, the honda seems to be a better motorcycle. I have even seen famous reviewed claim that cb500x is the best motorcycle honda has ever made.
Also, the trk 502 doesn't stand anywhere close to the honda. I wouldn't compare it anyday. The benelli is just an oversized attention seeking motorcycle. More of form, less of function. .

The on thing that honda has nailed I the bike is it's rideability. And the suspension set up is the sweetest it can get.
The gs310 has a decent suspension tuning, but it doesn't come close to the cb500x
@@vspatmx7458 ridden both buddy!! The honda feels undeniably more superior. The GS is very nice as well. But not just as good as the honda.
Also, investing this kind of money on a motorcycle, without trying them out is not the brightest of the ideas out there.
Getting both the motorcycles for test drive is pretty easy. Go swing your leg over and take it for a spin and realise the truth.
Simply because gs310 has USD, does not make its suspension game all the more stronger.
