Great video but you didnt address how to finish the combo with the high kick. I do this on accident somehow sometimes, but the full combo for Axel is jab, jab, cross, mid level sidekick, high kick. But most of the the time he just ends it on the mid level sidekick. Any idea how to make him end it on the high kick every time? Its just random luck when I do it right.
Combo is about timing. It's more of a sequential tap - if you tap the attack button too quickly, it'll bypass the last kick. For further clarification, here's a GameFAQs excerpt: "Thanks to the magic of emulators with frame advance I now know how the last two kicks work. The only factor is WHEN you push the button. There is a two-frame window when your arm retracts from the third hit. (2 frames is 0.033 seconds on NTSC, and 0.04 seconds on PAL.) IMO, the "master" part in the video's description isn't the best wording to use for this video, as it's more of a general guidelines for strats that will help you along the way, but nothing too deep like exploiting enemy AI. I want to get into this game but i just find it so hard to get anywhere in it everything feels so sluggish and slow
What system are you playing on? If its an original genesis you should overclock your genesis🤣
What beat 'em ups are you used to? Odd you say it's slow, as SoR2 is pretty universally praised for its mechanics.
My favorite game
Excellent moves aldo, the animations were incredible Paul...makes me want to play this what's price range on finding a copy
Paco Daddy luckily this game can be found loose for like 6-12 bucks last i saw, CIB will be like 25-30. And paco. I know what you mean, editing this video made me want to play it SO bad!! Glad you enjoyed this one, i really like the way it came out
Paco Daddy Thanks, Paco! I'm glad to hear people are enjoying the video!
Hello everyone, today I discovered a cheat for infinite lives in Streets of Rage 2. I’ll be uploading the evidence soon!
I would like to know some strategies for beating the bosses.
Good Video!! Thanks
Thanks, Tom! Was there anything here that you did not know about previously?
@@AldoAraujo85 I'm new to this game and I've been asking google how to play so I knew most stuff. I didn't know about the jump knee move and I couldn't figure out the grand upper move for some reason. You guys cleared that up too! Appreciate it. Lots of information for new players here
@@retroplayuk That's really awesome - I'm glad to hear my tips helped you out! With SoR2, practice makes perfect!
@@AldoAraujo85 Yeah I think I need to practice a lot more! Were you any good at it when you first played? I find it pretty difficult. SoR1 Is easy in comparison I think
@@retroplayuk Not at all! I was around 7 years old when I first played - the repetition of playing with my cousins gradually honed my skills to the point where the game became easy to me (still infinitely fun, though!)
Thank you so much!!!
Glad you liked it
Do these work on PS3 as well? What do the B and C buttons correspond to on the PS3 version?
Not sure, depends how you got your controller setup, I would assume square is a, x is b, and circle is c. But they're programmed into the game so they should work no matter how your playing it
b+c+down sweep floor attack
I want to know more sensei
Well get aldo back for more
Any particular questions you had?
How to master Streets of rage 2? Anthopants.
No argument there!
Never do that rythem - Boom boom boom 😆
No one ever got good cheesing the game, challenge yourself!
Tu peut montrer comment faire une attaque avec blaze stp elle fait un salto en avant et c’est super utile mais jsp comment le faire stp
o man I didn't know about that infinite combo punch thing
Clever about the Y signal thing. Must have made it easier in programing the enemies
Didn't know about up and C when getting thrown either
Thanks Master Aldo Ill have to try and remember these. I played through a couple weeks ago the Streets of Rage 2 hack with TMNT characters, which are overpowered since they always have a weapon ha
I really want to try some of those SoR2 hacks out there, there's alot of them, saw one with street fighter characters the other day lol
Thanks for watchin russ, i was really happy with the way this one turned out
Russ Lyman Aww, thanks Russ! The infinite combo is great on singling out "mini boss" characters, as you could take them down without receiving any damage ✌
How to beat the guys on bikes?
Please do a Skate tricks and tricks
I do want to cover more of the series, aldo knows this game alot more than what we did in this video
@@RETROGAMINGARTS trying to prepare for streets of rage 4 and would like to get good lol. Hopefully some of what I learn here could be used there
What about blaze knife 3 hit combo
soltero carlos perez
Aka "How To Uses Glitches To Cheat"
+1
Yo Idk if the video talks about this, but with multiple characters you can use jab 1 to keep some enemies in hitstun for a free kill combo.
This is great if you wanna save some health if you're new to the game.
Yup! I do mention the "infinite" combo - it's all about timing, but a great technique to isolate enemies with high HP!
Its Actually "GrandPapa" opposed to "GrandUpper" my friend, i all ways used to think its "Grab The Part" "Lols" not in a rude way though but a pain full way, that Electras gonna have bruised grey tits, the game was a bit rude a bit dirty but it was nice if you was Axcel you could forward grab Blaze and press jump and you would grab her A Uhmmm you know what i mean bits, a help full hint on mania you have to manipulate A I with Axcel if you hold B you would do a side scissors kick, good review, this game is a legend
Came for new information and wasted my 8 minutes. You're not an OG if you don't know these stuffs in a first place.
Wasted? The quality of the video and the passion aldo has for streets of rage 2 wasn't enjoyable at all?
@@RETROGAMINGARTS it was actually but that's not the reason I came here unfortunately :/
I should make aldo do a round 2 of this video, he really knows this game inside and out. I wanted to make a video of all the different rom hacks of streets of rage 2. Ive found 72 so far.. lol
@@RETROGAMINGARTS man, that would be awesome. Please do it.
IMO, the "master" part in the video's description isn't the best wording to use for this video, as it's more of a general guidelines for strats that will help you along the way, but nothing too deep like exploiting enemy AI.
That being said, it was an eye-opener to see so many people that were not privy to things like the throw recovery - so primer vids like these definitely serve a purpose.
