  • Today I wanted to share how to Install the CPP Tubular Control Arms and The Viking Coil Overs into Project LS. I worked off my Camera Phone in the shop did the best I could to get the basics of the installation. It was very hot in the shop and I worked the full day so I wasn't feeling good when I shot the video, but hopefully it will help anyone interested in this setup! G'day looks terrific what you've done to the front suspension, just one thing you've gone to all that trouble it would have been good to fit stainless steel brake hoses and neoprene bushings on the links ect . Just a thought John PS good idea the threaded rod never seen that before, great!!

    You did a great at job with the install, but you busted your back with the large wrench to remove the nut from the compreeeor, you could have welded a one ft piece of pipe to fit the treaded rod and then is nut on top to fit the wrench and bottom nut to fit the treaded rod ,easy

    I was looking at buying these for my 64 impala. How do you feel about the ball joints mounted from below on upper control arms? I'm worried from the lateral forces braking the bolts

      @ES4406  3 роки тому +1

      Good question. There are no cases of failure unless they were not properly torqued or the mating seat was not true to the part. being below the control arm is safer than above.

      have never needed to, we pressure tested the system after install and it is very sufficient.

      @@willbk392 after media blast and forever flushing out the frame corridors, we used Axalta 2580cr Epoxy primer and followed up with Nason Industrial Black with a HQ activator 12305 ... Next frame we do we will use Axalta Rival, we are very impressed with it and the holdout better than the Nason Industrial.
