I just started caring about lighting for aquariums, whereas I really just bought the cheapest before. I wanted to get more info, your video came up first and WOW. Best explicative video ever!!! I am chocked you don't have more views and followers, you truly deserve it! You have a wonderful voice and way of explaining, keep up the good work!!
Great video, professional and informative. What lighting specs would you recommend for a high-iron 10mm glass to help reduce the green tint look it gives to the aquarium?
Thank you X50!!! So helpful! But what about the fish? They can’t blink, and look at the stats about our looking into light of different kinds and the strain it causes. So what’s most comfortable for them?
Since Im unable to afford branded, lights fixtures, though I was given a branded full spectrum wrgb by my client, still uses Daylight led bulbs for diy...
Definitely nice to have, especially for intensity. I use an inline dimmer for my Twinstar. It makes filming the tank possible and helps me cut the lighting back for new scapes
The best video on lights I’ve ever seen! Excellent! Thank you, just what I was looking for!
So glad to hear that Daniela!

Having your light on a timer and ensuring they have coverage for hiding helps reduce stress
Do these guidelines extend to houseplants as well? I’m new to all of this.
Definitely! Your house plants still require all the same wavelengths that these lights are designed to provide
just curious how long you have been in the field as a hobbyist ?
I’ve been in the hobby somewhere between 6 and 7 years
@@LoganRandoAquascaping yeah! I started to watch your first video last night and got that information . You good 👍.

What a beautiful cat
Try comparing two products with the lighting specs you discussed. For a more practical example. 🙂
Great tip! I’ll do that next time

So basicaly you can stress the fok out of your fish with a very strong light with the required PAR output to grow that demanding carpet ;)
Lots of layouts have shaded areas and dense growth, but a classic Iwagumi can definitely be a concern for the fish depending on the species
