Monopods with twisty locks are notoriously unreliable, often becoming loose and causing the monopod to lower down unexpectedly. For this reason, many photographers opt for a monopod with a locking system instead. This type of monopod is more dependable and can be tightened firmly, ensuring that it won't come undone while in use. Additionally, the locking system ensures that the monopod won't get stuck in the middle section on cold days.
it looks amazing. The only thing I am not sure about this tripod is the lowest height of it. There are tripods that go lower like the Benro or Leofoto. Do you think lowest position is low enough for wildlife such as shore birds and other animals? Also some others are a little bit higher and pack smaller but i think have more sections (which i dont like).
Minimum height is 4.7” which is Comparable to my Promediagear (TR344) Tripod with the leveling head in it. Without the leveling head you can get down to 4” It is a great tripod for the money probably the best deal out there. It is defiantly Low enough to lay down and get those low angle bird photos.

I have never had an issue with twist locks but have had the other locks break off in the cold.
