If they have the plate number they do follow up. They try to get the owner to put himself in jail, but if the owner is smart he doesn't say anything when the cops show up. And when that happens the cops are left powerless to do much more than investigate and make idle threats. In order to make an arrest, one that will stick and not result in a massive law suit, a cop must be able to put a particular person behind the wheel of the vehicle. It is that simple. I've avoided several speeding charges simply because I had a passenger in the vehicle at the time. In each instance both my passenger andI were able to exist the vehicle before the cop got turned around and caught up with us. My passenger and I were standing outside the vehicle when the cops pulled up. The cop began asking who was driving. We refused to answer all questions. The cop picked the owner, me, and issued a ticket. The cops got handed their lunch when the cases went to trial. One of the cops was sternly reprimanded by the judge for having wasted the courts time. The judge even said that had the officer made an arrest the judge was certain that would have resulted in an expensive law suit or settlement for violation of a citizens civil rights. So, if a cop can't put you behind the wheel you can't be convicted. Another reason to never answer questions put to you by a cop.
@@jtf2dan:Nope. Not accurate. The following is from the Institute of Justice regarding civil asset seizures in the state of Arkansas. " It (Arkansas law covering civli seizures of assets) does not require conviction of the owner, only of the “person from whom the property was seized,” and the court can waive the provision if the person does not contest the forfeiture or has agreed to help investigators in exchange for immunity." Thus it appears you don't fully know what you're talking about. In order to keep a seized asset there must be a conviction or a waiver of all challenges to said seizure or an agreement to cooperate with investigators in exchange for immunity. Again, as long as a cop cannot put an individual behind the wheel or if the alleged offender does not incriminate himself or herself, the vehicle was improperly seized and must be returned. This, in turn, opens the door for suits seeking damages arising from an illegal seizure. That's how that shit works. This is Arkansas law, but it is not applicable in all other states. Each has its own laws. In some states it is easier to steal the property of citizens than it is in others. In many cases states rely upon the ignorance of it residents to get away with as many thefts as possible. If unchallenged in Arkansas the state simply sells off the assets. I think that is one unspoken reason many states actually want to keep the people stupid and uninformed. Do I need to explain further using drawings?

I always wondered if the cops followed up when the car got away. I assumed most of the time they got the plate!
@@misterdeeds2172 the car can be confiscated and they lose it.
@@jtf2dan:Nope. Not accurate. The following is from the Institute of Justice regarding civil asset seizures in the state of Arkansas.
" It (Arkansas law covering civli seizures of assets) does not require conviction of the owner, only of the “person from whom the property was seized,” and the court can waive the provision if the person does not contest the forfeiture or has agreed to help investigators in exchange for immunity."
Thus it appears you don't fully know what you're talking about.

Did he just say a R/T gets to 110 mph about the same as a 392?😂😂… yeah he’s so shocked that the 392 put 10* car lengths on him
10? More like 20-30 lol
both of em are slow with all the weight they carry.
@@ZeroTheHero6920 boi tf you drive to make a 392 seem slow. Shit bettwr be pushing 650 hp or more
@@brannonbarakat457 I have an upgraded turbos e85 m4 makes 700hp and 750 trq with a gutted interior
@@brannonbarakat457 392s are literally the dumbest purchase someone can make they hardly break 350hp to the wheels and 420 trq all while being 4400-4500 pounds lmao
I said it before, and I'll say it again... next time you see a Trooper haulin ass down the highway... he's chasing a car 50 miles ahead of him!😂
Funny to hear the officer talking about his driving skills when he had no problem chasing a car at 150mph that he couldn't catch and had to get address info from the tag he already had. No reason to endanger all the people he did driving 150mph to apprehend someone "racing"
He couldn't catch the car due to _speed_ limiting capabilities; not driving. Big difference there, Jeffy Dimbulb. They don't grow 'em too smart where you're from, huh?
@@231mac he could have stopped pursuing them after he got tag info and not been endangering other drivers lives. Figured most would understand my comment but you can't. So sad
@@jeffyjoebob8300 Reading comprehension not a thing from your parts, eh? Now, I'll type slow in order to help you keep up: I never made a comment concerning the pursuit, Jiffy. I only wrote about your asinine statement about the trooper not being a capable enough driver to catch the guy. Kinda feels like I'm picking on the handicap with with you. 🤣
Trooper said he must have some bad gas. Then says the runner can't drive. Reminds me of Cartman from South Park when he says " you must respect my authori-ty. What a sore loser, get past yourself !!
1:19 Did the red challenger hit the mustang prior to the video? The front bumper of the challenger and rear bumper of the mustang are messed up and partially removed
I assure you, you aren't catching them if they were in supercars.
More of a muscle car
muscle cars are faster than supercars
Look up the definition of a super car 😂 and your wrong they catch them all the time. Those guys in those maybe half a super car wasn’t even smart enough too know the trooper was behind them. Probably thought it was someone wanting too race with them. But I’ll tell you this you can have the faster car in the state and if you don’t know how too drive it fast in anything other then a straight line you ain’t getting away. A lot of these kids with daddy’s money or stolen being scatpack and hellcats are one of the most stolen car out right now and it’s easy too do is the sad part. But they can’t drive them for crap. Some can but most can’t it’s way too much car for them at higher speeds. But you can’t outrun a radio and I myself would take the speeding ticket over a felony and loosing my car any day.
@@TcuB Err no, sorry they aren't. Not by a mile.
Muscle cars (particularly modern Challengers, Chargers, etc) are big, bulky, and not very aerodynamic. They each make roughly 400hp - 600 hp, depending on the trim.
Supercars would be a Lamborghini Murcielago, Ferrari Enzo, Bugatti Veyron, McLaren F1, etc.
Murcielago top speed: 215 MPH
Enzo top speed: 221 MPH
Veyron top speed: 253 MPH
McLaren F1 top speed: 240 MPH
*No muscle car's top speed exceeds 200 MPH. Get real*
The Challenger SRT *_barely_* manages to squeeze out 203 MPH for it's top speed. A supercar is going to trod all over that.
The Mustang GT's top speed is a pitiful 162 MPH. It don't want none of what a supercar is packing -- and I say that as a hardcore Mustang enthusiast.
Like I said, if the cars in this vid were legitimate supercars, they would've been gone in 60 seconds. A police cruiser would be treading water trying to catch a Veyron on the open freeway.
In that case they already all had felony racing charges if not reckless driving charges (also felony in most states). So running IF they knew how to drive n the area was the best move. Go to jail or just lose ur car cause they don't know who was driving. Yea I can get another car. Can't get out of jail that simple. When ur facing a felony either way but one means jail time n the other means losing some property but being a free man not a hard choice
One of the cars passing by is more likely to be a supercar than any of the cars being chased in this video💀💀
quite literally the definition of “the fun police” 💀
The co0 just hating on the challenger guy because he got away is hilarious
0:58 119 MPH pursuit, no Emergency Lights or Siren. C'MON MAN! See now the first 2 guys that kinda pulled over can't be charged with Felony fleeing.
I love how the officer laughs at his buddy being gapped at 150. People hays good sportsmanship
That man said they hit 110 at the same time😂😂😂😂
Once they get that close to read your license plate you might as well just pull over
At 2.36 it looks like it could be the challengers taillights far down that exit ramp the cop drove by
High-speed chase showcases quick thinking-reminds us that skill and strategy are key in any challenge.
That was a 392 out running the cops? WOW I thought just the hellcat was doing that, they are faster than what I thought 😳.
Its go over 100 hp and torque more and weighs slightly less, not to mention could have the 8 speed transmission
392 could definitely outrun cop cars
and that is without even considering after market mods
Can't outrun Motorola or a helo
Are you kidding me! 150 mph pursuit unbelievable! Only in ASP, you troopers are the very best in the country!
They called them super cars because the way they took off on him 😂
What up with the one challenger’s head light is it just hanging by the wires lol looked like it was hunting the left lane .
He definitely called his boys and was like you’ll fall back. I got this.😂
Impound fees will sting a bit. Put a warrant out for the owner then snatch him up when he goes to get the car.
no face no case
How you going to prove they were driving?
What proof do they have?
@@dcomputers proof that the car was used.
@@ryanhasty1535mopars with no kill switch get stolen all the time
Tbh I think it's hilarious that a cop gets to have fun chasing their asses regardless if he catches them or not. And he got to do it with legal authority, that's a bigger flex than anything tbh
In Germany we can drive as fast as we want legally always fun to see others being busted for this dumb reason
@@nicolai8820 Well that depends, I'm aware there's still speed limits. Just high ones.
Do you have a concept of what the Law is?
@@BlueBeeMCMLXI Honestly lost as to where you think I'm failing to see the law? Germany has speeds limits and cops are allowed to speed to certain limits (varies state to state in the US). I never described anything illegal being legal?
HE COULDNT DRIVE IT!!!!!! Excuse me sir he disappeared on you 😂😂😂
