I came to see the battery removal for when I need to replace mine. Did they really have to glue the battery in so much? I looks like a bitch to get out. More heat would help but there is a limit to what the battery can take although if it is be replaced the it really doesn't matter as long as you don't cause it to explode and burn. I looks like if you're just replacing the battery, after getting the back off, just remove the black plastic and the little terminal at the top, then heat if out and pop the new one back in which should come with a new adhesive strip. Might have to clean out what is left of the old adhesive strip before installing.
I really need the ribbon connector pinout or to at least know what all the pins are on it for the LG lm-x210, the Motorola xt1921-8, the Samsung J100 & the Samsung J120. I can't find it anywhere. Any help with this would be very appreciated.
@@GLOBALSkills OK so, I left one out bc I wasn't sure about it yet. Here's what I'm trying to do. I have a working LG lm x210 without a screen. Ideally, I'd like to attach a screen I have from a Vantron 5081g tablet. It has a 31 pin LCD ribbon connector. I realize not all of the pins are used, I need to know which pins are used & where they go. If that isn't possible, I have 3 other screens, the Samsung sm J100, the Samsung sm J120 & a Motorola xt 1921-8. It's a project specifically trying to see if this can be done. I can't go buy any parts or phones or anything like that, I have to use what I have.
I'm having trouble with my charging port. Couldn't get the back off to see if there was duster something in it. It seems to work better when I find a knock at the bottom on a table. At this time I'm holding the charger in a certain position so I can get it charged. The guy at the store said my charging port was not working. I'm not accepting that I need a new phone yet. I love this phone especially for $125. I still think there's something clogged in there that I can't reach. Also where can I get those instruments that you were working with? Thank you so much for this video
My friend, is the Stylo 5 Boost same LCD/Frame for Stylo5 Metro and Cricket? Wanted to know if main screen part is replaceable with other carrier parts?
I have the same phone and my screen cracked so I took it to a repair shop the guy changed the screen but the screen now keeps flashing like almost glitching ?? So I took it back to him he even tried putting a new screen on it and kept doing the same after he put it on , do you know what might be wrong ?
I use a cotton swab to dab a couple drops of rubbing alcohol around the battery, it makes it's way to the adhesive holding the battery in place and it makes it MUCH easier to remove. Use the highest percentage alcohol you can find. You don't want water in the phone. High strength alcohol will evaporate cleanly and harmlessly. Works every time.
Ha! I have one phone that won't charge/ turn on and one with a screen cracked to hell. Maybe I can make one good phone out of them. I just need a tiny screw driver and a heat gun
At 2:23 a little part is removed and left over at the end, not re-installed. What part is that?

Hi, good job, but could you tell where I could buy screen frame or parts? Please

i doubt it
@@GLOBALSkills I just opened it and it's the same. So if you have a Boost Phone and a Metro Phone the Screens are compatible with each other.

What did you insert at the very last?
What minute in the video?
Can I have a website to the parts plz I need to fix my brothers phone
I went onto ebay.com and asked about cases for the stylo 5 and a list of appropriate cases with pictures came up
That battery is really glued in.
Why do they do that :/

its not a good idea to pry the battery like that, it damages capacity even when you smush it back into shape.
How to do it then'?
Thats a piece of cake.Is it hard to detached the frame, because i cant find the screen with frame any where
@@GLOBALSkills please
@@GLOBALSkills do you have the link so I can order the screen with frame?
