    • @nopeq7993
      @nopeq7993 5 років тому +226

      Paris I found that because hair is so frustrating for me already I end up being tense in my arms and pull on the strands making them slip farther from grasp every time I try to cross them. So I always have to keep reminding myself to relax my grip.
      Other videos Ive seen mentioned trying to use your palm and pinching the ‘x’ that is made when you cross the hairs to keep the braids tight. Also I think most people use their ring and index finger for holding the other strands of hair and for crossing, at least from what I was able to observe.
      Course doing all these things are annoying once you have to start thinking about it and then your arms start to hurt and then I start to contemplate baldness 🙃

    My experience attempting to do this:
    1) Torn out hair
    2) tangled hair
    3) realized how greasy my hair is when i tried to part it down the middle
    4) I have bangs so the part down the middle looked stupid on me and I realized I'm ugly af
    5) My inner frustration mood entered the chat
    6) Depression

    I have always dreamed of french braiding. Its so pretty, and my friend has a mom that always does them for her. I loved getting my hair done from her, and i dont actually see her a lot to braid my hair, so i wanted to learn myself. After spending like 2 hours on this, i did it. My tips are to keep tugging, don't let anything too loose. Wet hair helps. And my main struggle was taking way too big chunks to bring into the strands, so take very small pieces, it helps. Thanks sooo much for this video! Only person that has ever gotten me to learn!

    I am 21 years old and until today I have never successfully done french braids. It even took me a few times watching this video over the years to get here, but here I am, so thank you! It's always something I've been insecure about since I think braiding is seen as kind of a rite of passage into girlhood sometimes. I'm glad I finally buckled down and gave it a really solid go and it all came together. Thanks for the video!

    Here, here's a more simple version put out in 5 easy steps:
    1) try and rip your hair out by brushing it and "detangling" it
    2) get stressed at how your arms are already starting to hurt
    3) try and attempt to braid the top of your hair, but let's face it, it's not gonna work and it already feels like your arms are on fire
    4) get stressed out about how the so called "braid" isn't exactly how you want it "centered" so you take it out and try again
    5) decide that this isn't going to work out so you just give up
