Some serious glue sniffing going on with the balance team right now apparently. What's the excuse with buffing Corki now ? That he dropped out of first pick in pro play?
No clue, I think he is crazy strong already, maybe the balance team this year is just limit testing with everyone's patience. I will say they have done a good job on patch 14.20 though with the item changes
The "excuse" is that he's a 40% WR champion. And when a champion like that gets buffs solely to *mana* and that raises their winrate by a massive 6-8%, that means the champion is REALLY bad. It's about time the champ has received some love - he's been quite bad for years. Almost the entirety of his pickrate, as tiny as it is, is from people who watch pro. And he's only good in that setting because all other AD midlaners are inoperable in the pro scene aside from Yone.
@@Blankie3563 Mana makes a huge difference though, especially at lower levels. Since Corki has low range (and after E nerfs) he relies on Q for both farm and poke. Without his old E burst and high mana cost on Q he does terrible into the poke mage meta right now. His main issue before was being an insane lane bully with 0 counterplay for squishies. This is why the buffs are to bonus AD ratios and ult which will make him stronger late game as opposed to early levels. It’s a good change.
conq & lethal tempo are both viable, i like taking conq into ranged matchups and lethal into melee matchups, corki has crazy AD ratio scaling so conq's adaptive force works really well for him

And I had more success with PTA for the early spike If people don't focus you, you basically deletes everyone But I do believe that his winrate will not change much with the buffs Corki requires a lot of positioning, and people will continue dying on using him
