Superb video - perhaps you could go the other way? Into the microtubules of our mind- so small, only Quanta can pass through? And as well as showing that ( and asking is it for quantum computing,is this our mind?) You could also show the enormous number of atoms in the universe ( 10 to the power of 89) and the number of connections in our brain (approximately 10 to the power of 117, as scientists get better at finding them, the number gets bigger all the time) and asking the question - if evolution gets rid of anything unnecessary, why do we have a brain big enough to map the universe,so big it often causes the mother's death in childbirth? Evolution obviously regards this acceptable,so for some mysterious reason,this immense brain size is necessary - compare it to a monkeys, a few hundred thousand connections, we could work perfectly well with that,so why have a brain size that can leave us motherless? A lot of people would feel discouraged knowing their lives are basically a speck compared to the whole history of the universe. However you made me feel like that was okay, like there’s still meaning to something so small and seemingly insignificant. The world is beautiful and we’re lucky to even be a part of it for some time. The chances of us being born were so small already. So thank you for reminding us that the universe is beautiful, and we are a part of it.

This is by far the best scaled down version of the universe video I have ever seen. It was in depht right to the very end when you mentioned the mind blowing belief that I have always thought about of consciousness. Also, the final part where the Earth was zoomed was really cool. It took me a while to trace on Google Earth where you zoomed into but I pinpointed it to the Supernova Planetarium. Perfect ending!

I like the video, it was good. But if i can comment on one thing it's that 95% of the world would really appreciate if you took the time to include kilometers,the metric standard, in videos like this. Including kilometers you would get the rest of the world as viewers to, not just America (and maybe Liberia and Myanmar). Think how many more views and subscribers that could turn out to be since most of the world use the metric standard. This is not a critique, just a thought. I certainly am more likely to subscribe and watch videos with metrics included.

I totally agree!! This is why I am so excited about launching of the Jack Webb telescope. If the beautiful, extraordinary images from the Hubble made me change my view of God and what He's capable of, I can't imagine what the Webb will do for me. I can't think of ANYTHING that would be more exciting in my life. I don't know if I'll be able to stand it...

At the last scene, when Earth was slowly zooming back into the picture, it made me think-- if you kept slowly zooming into earth, then to a continent, a country, a city, then a neighborhood, a street, then an a single house, through the house's roof, to a bedroom, to someone laying in their bed, then to their body, through their skin, fat tissue, and organs, their blood vessel walls, to individual blood cells, and to the microscopic building blocks of life. This is the best explanation I’ve ever seen of the universe. Making sure we understood the true size of the numbers that we think are ginormous. This way once you multiply those numbers times another billion we get the right perspective. This was nothing short of amazing.

The universe didn't create us, God created us. And the ALL of the universe is a product of His creation. The universe is proof of intelligent design rather than a random occurance. Perfect order exists, a law that governs how the planets align, rotate, cycle and so on. It's very numerical and was not just a chance happening. That is intelligent and deliberate design right there. If we can accept an artist painting on a canvas as the creator of that work, then we should be able to accept that there is a great architect and master designer behind all of this that we see.

Great presentation, just one huge problem. You left out the creator God. His Word says in Genesis that in the Beginning God created the heavens and the earthquake and also man in His own image🌏🌕🌙. I prefer to believe what He says rather than what man says. It's incredibly frustrating for 99% of everyone else that is not American of who uses common sense/metric-system. Using miles and fahrenheit is so illogical and mind boggling and makes absolutely zero sense. In the video he even used a "quarter" coin as a comparison, as if the whole world is supposed to understand what the hell a quarter is and how big it is.

It took this infinite variety of matter 10 billion years to create our first single-celled organism. The most amazing event in the entire universe - the creation of Life. Life, who said "screw the laws of physics, I will go wherever I want"! Life had its own formula - ">=". Life conquered an entire planet. I enjoyed the video overall. Scale discussions were good. Especially liked how we viewed the objects in space as our vantage point also changed. In future videos, I would suggest ease up on the new age philosophizing. A few thoughts about it are OK but I thought it went a little far at the end when it started talking about how we just need to "go with the flow". Well many of us are fortunate to live in prosperous and peaceful societies, we have lots of options to enjoy life, life can also be very unfair and brutal to some people. Those in Russia in the 1920s, Germany and surrounding areas in the 1940s, China 1960s. And, of course, many other situations. So may come across a bit patronizing. But, not a big detractor, it was a good work worth the time. May check out more.
Think about how stable things are? Imagine if a water molecule could just change to a different molecule. That’s just one! What make those molecules so stable?
Our species is likely about 100 years away from being able to travel at 0.1% of light speed! That's 1/1,000 of the speed of light. To actually "get somewhere", in our travels we will need to travel at 10% to maybe 50% of light speed! And that goal could be 200 to over 1,000 years away!!! (The estimates of the "number of stars" in our own Milky Way galaxy vary greatly! Your 100 billions stars number is THE LOWEST I've ever heard of! In my experience Astronomer's arguments range from 250 billion, all the way up to 1,000 Billion stars! Because of gas and dust across our galaxy, we can't even "see" 75% of what's out there!)
and then in this minuscule speck of dust called earth, there are ginormous oceans which we know nothing about and high mountains all made up of very very tiny molecules which are in turn made up of trillions of atoms which are made up of a number of electrons, protons, and neutrons, each of which consists mainly of empty space and very tiny strings vibrating at different frequencies. Between such micro and macro substance that is incomprehensible, we complain about bread getting a little too roasted.

Superb video - perhaps you could go the other way? Into the microtubules of our mind- so small, only Quanta can pass through? And as well as showing that ( and asking is it for quantum computing,is this our mind?) You could also show the enormous number of atoms in the universe ( 10 to the power of 89) and the number of connections in our brain (approximately 10 to the power of 117, as scientists get better at finding them, the number gets bigger all the time) and asking the question - if evolution gets rid of anything unnecessary, why do we have a brain big enough to map the universe,so big it often causes the mother's death in childbirth? Evolution obviously regards this acceptable,so for some mysterious reason,this immense brain size is necessary - compare it to a monkeys, a few hundred thousand connections, we could work perfectly well with that,so why have a brain size that can leave us motherless?

This is by far the best scaled down version of the universe video I have ever seen. It was in depht right to the very end when you mentioned the mind blowing belief that I have always thought about of consciousness. Also, the final part where the Earth was zoomed was really cool. It took me a while to trace on Google Earth where you zoomed into but I pinpointed it to the Supernova Planetarium. Perfect ending!

I like the video, it was good. But if i can comment on one thing it's that 95% of the world would really appreciate if you took the time to include kilometers,the metric standard, in videos like this.
Including kilometers you would get the rest of the world as viewers to, not just America (and maybe Liberia and Myanmar).
Think how many more views and subscribers that could turn out to be since most of the world use the metric standard.

When I think of how big and complex it all is, it makes me realize that something much much bigger is going on and I’m just a part of that whole thing. That also helps me if something bad happens to me. I may perceive it to be bad but the truth is, I don’t know why it happened and I’ll just trust in the universe’s plan. If that makes sense.

This is the best explanation I’ve ever seen of the universe. Making sure we understood the true size of the numbers that we think are ginormous. This way once you multiply those numbers times another billion we get the right perspective. This was nothing short of amazing.

The universe didn't create us, God created us. And the ALL of the universe is a product of His creation. The universe is proof of intelligent design rather than a random occurance. Perfect order exists, a law that governs how the planets align, rotate, cycle and so on. It's very numerical and was not just a chance happening. That is intelligent and deliberate design right there. If we can accept an artist painting on a canvas as the creator of that work, then we should be able to accept that there is a great architect and master designer behind all of this that we see.

The largest [Red Hypergiant] Star is Stevenson 2-18: Radius is 2,150 x Sun. Brightness is 500,000 x Sun. At light-speed it would take 8.7 hours to travel around it once. In a Lockheed SR-71 it would take 500 years. Dropped in on the position our Sun exists, it would fill in to Saturn's orbit.

It's incredibly frustrating for 99% of everyone else that is not American of who uses common sense/metric-system. Using miles and fahrenheit is so illogical and mind boggling and makes absolutely zero sense. In the video he even used a "quarter" coin as a comparison, as if the whole world is supposed to understand what the hell a quarter is and how big it is.
Its good for me in Australia. Never bothered to learn metric, so miles etc make sense!

Great work! I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your efforts. As you mentioned, this is the “observable” universe. It might’ve been helpful to mention that this is only 5% of the calculated mass of the universe, e.g. dark energy and dark matter making up the other 95% of the universe. Again thank you for your hard work.
Thank you! Yes, valid point about the dark matter! Didn't include it as we don't know if dark matter is real.. it's a theory right now. It could be that we are wrong about something else and there is no need for dark matter. Thanks for your comment.
We live in difficult times.
We just awakened finding ourselves to be a little speck in an expanding universe. No matter how far we can see, there is immeasurably more we are just too late for. Galaxies whose light will never reach us and those we see are destined to fade away. We've been teased for so long; we are so ready to search and reach the distant stars, explore and experience as far as infinity goes, expecting to find unthinkable things that will blow our minds. Yet, we are no closer than the first man who ever gazed upon the night sky.
But gaze we do. And more...
Just about everywhere we look we see a simple universe mindlessly obeying the laws of nature. Strong force, weak force, gravity, etc. - it's all just one big apparatus. The switch was turned on and all the big parts made of smaller parts started dancing around exactly by the letter of the physics laws. It took this infinite variety of matter 10 billion years to create our first single-celled organism. The most amazing event in the entire universe - the creation of Life. Life, who said "screw the laws of physics, I will go wherever I want"! Life had its own formula - ">=". Life conquered an entire planet. Each and every single human being - a heap of evolved, well organized cosmic dust, complex, self-sustainable and conscious - a God. Capable of doing incredible things. As far as we can see into the universe nothing can do what a man can do. Build and destroy, love and hate, give and take, want and gaze. And more, so much more.
Yet, nobody seems to notice, nobody seems to care. People are putting themselves down, closing themselves from the world, even ending their own lives. The most evolved lifeform, the most incredible miracle in the known universe is killing itself using its own creations - politics and religion. Too many of us yelling at each other, ignorant, intolerant, we're spiraling down out of control.
We live in difficult times...

I enjoyed the video overall. Scale discussions were good. Especially liked how we viewed the objects in space as our vantage point also changed. In future videos, I would suggest ease up on the new age philosophizing. A few thoughts about it are OK but I thought it went a little far at the end when it started talking about how we just need to "go with the flow". Well many of us are fortunate to live in prosperous and peaceful societies, we have lots of options to enjoy life, life can also be very unfair and brutal to some people. Those in Russia in the 1920s, Germany and surrounding areas in the 1940s, China 1960s. And, of course, many other situations. So may come across a bit patronizing.
But, not a big detractor, it was a good work worth the time. May check out more.

Our species is likely about 100 years away from being able to travel at 0.1% of light speed! That's 1/1,000 of the speed of light.
To actually "get somewhere", in our travels we will need to travel at 10% to maybe 50% of light speed!
And that goal could be 200 to over 1,000 years away!!!
(The estimates of the "number of stars" in our own Milky Way galaxy vary greatly! Your 100 billions stars number is THE LOWEST I've ever heard of! In my experience Astronomer's arguments range from 250 billion, all the way up to 1,000 Billion stars!
Because of gas and dust across our galaxy, we can't even "see" 75% of what's out there!)
and then in this minuscule speck of dust called earth, there are ginormous oceans which we know nothing about and high mountains all made up of very very tiny molecules which are in turn made up of trillions of atoms which are made up of a number of electrons, protons, and neutrons, each of which consists mainly of empty space and very tiny strings vibrating at different frequencies.
Between such micro and macro substance that is incomprehensible, we complain about bread getting a little too roasted.
