Lawless Copperraven here, had to get on another account. I took out the firebird last night and the one thing it does have is speed. That thing is lightning. Haveing said that it occured to me how this ship will viable one day. But oddly not a single person has mentioned it. Once larger ships are available for refuel, restock, and repair. Particularly the restock part for a Firebird. As insanley fast as it is, it fly out zoom and boom come back to the ship a short distance away. Land restock wash and repeat. Defending a ship or a fleet where there is localized restock is particularly well suited for this ship.
It's a stealth missile boat? The big question will be can it multilock targets. If it can it will be an incredible alpha strike fighter. If you start out an attack either against a ground installation or a fighter squadron with multiple debilitating strikes it would make engagements much easier for the attackers. I'm hoping this is part of an evolving gameplay loop of stealth attackers vs. Scanner and ewar defenders.
Zero chance I would bother with the firebird even as an ingame buy. No excitement over these leaks. Servers cant handle the current load, Polarise comes in will only insure constant server crashes, MPUVs are golf carts with now where to go until cargo changes are in. And paints, may as well just watch it dry.

You respond sincerely to what people have to say. I appreciate what you do is what I am trying to say. I won't lie and say watch all of your videos. But I 100 percent come back to you when I get my Star Citizen vibes. I know as a creator myself what you do is not nearly as easy as some would think. I can tell you research and you care. Amen to that brother thankyou so much for that, I've been trying to respond to comments as much as I can because I feel from this side it can make for better connection with people and really get to know the community more it delights me to know I'm one of your main sources for SC content I'll have to check your channel out, the truth is I've been doing alot of self development while doing this and in my personal life have been bettering my experience to be more open minded and that passion, care and listening have been something that is difficult for Mr with my adhd, though doing this while listening and reading feedback has helped me better approach life and youtube Bit of a long winded response but I hope it explained
2x s3 guns that's the same as a 100i starter ship. 12 s3 missiles wouldn't be to bad if they worked better and were more consistent. You can shoot 4 at a time and hope you get lucky but only 3 times. Then its a slightly more beefy 100i till you rearm. The ship looks awesome but I am just not a fan of the missile boats. Don't know that I would call it a medium fighter but it would probably make for a good stealth ambush ship. If you could catch people out with their shields down in MM and unable to deploy counter measures.
I think the problem is you’re trying to use it like a raven when you should be using it more like an eclipse. Hard hitting on bigger ships, small imprint, insanely fast. In and out doing a lot of damage with a 6 rocket salvo. The 2 size 3s are just a backup so you’re not completely defenseless in case of an unfortunate dog fight.
A couple of Firebirds to go with my Raven, also all paints look somewhat hansome, not sure about the Retaliator, yet have a couple of CCU's. If the Ret increases, which i doubt it will as CIG will want to flog those modules
I am struggling to see the upside here Baron. I want to like this ship. But a shrike has 24 size 3s and it is a small fighter. Apparently this is not even very stealthy. You can get maybe 2 ships, then you have to go and reload. It is so cool looking, but damn.
@@LawlessBaron I want it purely out of aesthetics, it looks amazing. But I learned my lesson with the Ares Ion. The plus side and I hope I am right. That so few buy this, with so many shitt3ng on it. That the devs will have to revamp this some way. I mean what is the point of it literally just sits there. That is a bad look for a new ship. If they even added one more gun, I would snatch this up.
If I can get a decent CCU chain going during Invictus I may build a Firebird on an LTI token to see how it handles, mostly for its looks. Unlike the base Retaliator, at least CIG gave it pilot weapons and not only missiles. Not certain what CIG devs were thinking. The Esperia Talon has dedicated missiles for a loadout and you don't see them flying off the shelves... Same with a dedicated missile Fury, the MX. Reminds me before the Hornet got its revision, CIG and its lore make it sound great, but its in-game performance does not match up. It seems CIG want missiles to be viable, even great at some point. That time is mos def not now.
They should have give it 2 size 4 and 2 size 3 weapons. Do not care too much about missiles cause missiles are broken and nobody cares about missiles that much. What a shame they turn a useless missiles spammer ship.
Why put the Polaris on the showroom floor when it’s not done? People are going to be confused when there is one ship during all of IAE that they can’t rent when they can rent every other ship.
Because CIG is really fucking horrible at production management, they thought they were gonna finish the zeus and polaris by IAE so they started fiddle fucking around with other ships gold standard passes instead of waiting until milestones were complete. Now they are going to be pushing the RSI lineup out by another 9 months because they're morons.
@@LawlessBaron Would've been nice if it was an EMP ship as well as the raven, just with a new name and the slight aesthetic change, but missile ships in SC are just beyond useless, that the only people who will likely buy it are doing so for its looks, or overestimate the capabilities of such a small amount of missiles.

The new MPUV doesn't look as useless as the old one.
