After fighting through some rainy days, I found this is one I looked forward to flying more than usual. And also I felt at ease trying stuff i might not normally do with this category of quad.
Just got mine in today. Here are my initial thoughts on this drone and Oddity RC: 1: Oddity RC customer service is great. I had a couple of questions about the drone before purchase and they answered them very quickly. 2: The drone flies really good out of the box. I flew it first with the one 6s 1200mah battery I have and it performed great. I then put on a 6s 1500mah battery and it flew just fine but I could definitely feel the weight. 3: I don’t really like the battery mat. It’s not sticky and that concerns me in the event of a crash. 4: Because of the camera cage(the cat cover) I can’t fit an ND filter on it. Maybe some other brand of filter would work but I have some Beta FPV and Flywoo brand O3 filters. 5: The Rush Cherry antenna look really good and give it a unique look. They seem to be very sturdy and the 3D printed part they are mounted to seems good. 6: My OSD display would “flicker” when I’m in full manual mode(acro mode), when I’m in Angle it doesn’t flicker at all. I didn’t fly it far as this was my first flight and wanted to test it so I know it’s not a range issue. I don’t have this problem on my Rotor Riot Tanq 2 or my Pavo 20 Pro. 7: My last point. Accessing the USB port for the FC and for the O3 is almost IMPOSSIBLE!!!! I had to get my 9 year old daughter to help me plug in the dongle they provide. This really needs to be addressed and relocated somehow. I really like this drone. I got the COB lights and the GPS as add ons. Oddity installed them for me and everything works perfectly. Other than the USB port, it’s almost a PERFECT drone. I live near Atlanta, GA and it took a little less than 2 weeks to get delivered from the time I ordered the quad. I would highly recommend getting this one. I will definitely consider buying from them again when I’m looking for another drone. Thanks @OddityRC_official. You guys are great.

The last time I saw Nick this excited about a bnf, the AvantQuads Avio, i bought it, and it did not disappoint. Im pulling the trigger on this on Friday after shopping a VERY long time for my first cinewhoop. Great review, Nick! 💪🏻👊🏻🙏🏻
Hey sir I am looking to buy my first FPV drone/cinewhoop. Should I go ahead and pull the trigger or is there any I should look at now that it’s a year later?
@PITBULLTERRIER13 this would still be at the top of my shopping list. Keep in mind where you are going to fly. I think any of the cinewhoops from OddityRC are a sure bet, but don't get the 35 if you plan to fly indoors or slow and close to people. Just like, don't get the 20 if you plan to do mostly outdoor flying. 25 is a nice balance of the two, but really have a good think about where you're going to fly, and then purchase one based on the size of your environment. Yes you can fly at 35 very slowly, but it's a lot more difficult to get a smooth shot if you are not using the right equipment for the right scenario. Hence why most of us have 20 or more drones, LOL. Good luck!! ✌🏻
Camera Angle - ANY quad model should have the ability to be set to more and less than a usable angle, the choice should be the Pilots! I have had to Mod a lot of mine in either or both directions to be able to cruise or blast around!!

Vladimire, puno pozdrava iz Canade! I'll type in English, so other people with the same question can understand it better. I have no doubts about XI35Pro and full size GoPro... but, do you think XI25Pro would be able to carry my Session 5 or Orange 5, or are they still too heavy for it. Of course, freestyle performance wouldn't be as nearly good as without those cameras, but I'm thinking for some nice and calm cinematic shots maybe (nothing professional required). I kind of like the idea of little smaller quad, so kind of leaning towards XI25Pro. It's also 6s version if I'm not mistaken. Thank you so much for your answer in advance!
@@Seii-FPV The xi25 bnf has 1507.2 motors which have a ton of torque. They will lift a session 5 no problem. They are tested and tuned with a DJI action 2 in mind but people have also mounted full size gopro hero 10's without batteries and been able to fly but I don't recommend it. With a session 5 or an orange it won't impact performance that much because of the tall stator, you'll be fine. 👌 The xi25 is my go-to, perfect ratio of size/performance.

Hey this is my first drone. I only have experience playing on a sim. I’m lost on where the bind buttons are to connect the goggles and the tbs crossfire controller
I haven't used crossfire in many years. Generally the crossfire receiver has a bind button that we have to press to put the receiver in bind mode. then we do the binding on the controller. Often there is a software version difference between the receiver and the controller, I believe in most cases the radio will have a message on screen to update the receiver, we need to do that as well.
Hi Nick thank you very much for your in-depth review again. I had an eye on the oddityrc for quite some time now because one of my favourite Chinese cinewhoop quad pilots seems to love this brand too. Seems reassuring that you like it too. Too bad that i Have and love the avata now. Not for flight performance's but because of the 1 axis gimbal, which make the world of difference for cinewhooping in my eyes. Oddityrc should partnership with Medline drone to offer a 5 inch cinewhoop with a gimbal for the hero 11 that would be a Game changer!!! Thanks again for your work.
your right and wonder if they somehow there is a sweet spot with performance as well as stable flight time with 6s over 4s or smaller. I was looking at the 2.5inch version and noted the drop down for 6s, I suspect my mind saw a 4s in the drop down but its not really a drop down, just 6s in that as well.
@@NickBurnsFPV Yeah, I clicked the drop down menu too but it only had one option. Not much stats about the motors either but 1507.2, 1806 and even the 2006 are kinda perfect sizes for my favourite class, ie. the 4", evil middle child of all the classes. In my experience 6S sags a tad later but flight time depends on the watt hours of the battery. The torque difference between 4S and 6S is negligible, 6S is able to sustain a RPM better than 4S (as in static torque) but it doesn't have more torque to spool up faster; stator height affects spool up time more than the battery does. I know we went for low stator motors because people didn't know how to use start-up power, now that we do I hope we see more of the classic xxx6 and up stator heights. Ultimately you need the stator height for the best prop authority, there's just no way around it. Oh and I wouldn't mind going 6S if it offered clear benefits over the 4S, below 5" I just feel the extra cells add extra weight or extra complexity with very little to show for it. On bigger stuff it can help for sure, which is why I fly my 6" on 6S.
Hey Nick! How do you feel about this quad vs the darwingfpv cineape25 that you've also reviewed? Are the prop guards similar in quality? Which one I'm general feels like it can take more abuse? You cineape25 video title says "best I've flown" or something like that. Of course, my electronics are old but good, so I just want a beefy frame with prop guards. I have an iflight titan dc2 with the original air unit, and that frame is no longer available, so I'm just looking for a frame replacement. Thanks in advance
Actually as far as I know, the prop protection on the DarwinFPV is the same as this one, DarwinFPV did not steal the prop protection, they just buy from OddityRC and put it on their quad.
Ways things work - Designers find and settle on an OEM for mass production; oddityrc owns the design but does not own or controll the factories that pump stuffs out. Thinking that you don't have to give credit to the design by working with the OEM that was shared knowledge of the design alone should be considered intellectual property theft, by the OEM and it's secretive collab partner.
Hi Nick, they just released the new Mage Pro HD 03. It looks innovative and very interesting with its built-in antennas (similar to the Iflight Defender series). I hope you get the chance to try it. I'll probably buy it before you can review it, but I'm curious to hear your thoughts afterward.
@@NickBurnsFPV mainly just the droppings.. Lol I love our Bunny and his raisins are great for the garden.. Cats just go in the garden to be nasty! And rabbits never kill birds ,although I did once see a rabbit fly kick a seagull over bread scraps!
It literally looks like you're flying a 5" drone i never thought cinewhoops would be so good! Either your a really good pilot or the drone is really good haha
Thanks Nick! What a whoop! I recently put the geprc cinelog 35 hd components into the v2 frame with an 03 air unit and it is superb! But this looks a shade better, have you noticed any jello or vibrations in the footage at all? The mount is way more durable than the jelly mounted gep35v2. And thr prop guard mat and design are very good. I've just been checking out all their whoop frames.
The only jello I noticed was minor in my eyes in the slow flight there is a decent about the same time as a wind gust. The jello/vibs is about 2 seconds long :) but otherwise no, even after my falling out of the tree crash, just smooth.
3.5 kwads has been my go-to for a solid year now. I got all the micros whoops up to the 5' freestyle but the 3.5 seems to be the perfect all around power to weight ratio. Great video man! Glad to see this pushed to its full potential
Looks like an interesting quad. Seems to be quite capable. Also your comments about disarming - I think of course it is just what we get used to. On my TBS Mambo I use the top left switch and it works great and feels just right... so yea no one best answer. Also the branding on the standoffs is great - it looks nice and adds something to the overall appearance which I like. With so many quads that you have reviewed I always wonder when watching your videos - if you could only have one which would it be? This one seems like a decent candidates if you did not want to fly indoors too much but is there one that you feel does it all? Cheers.
@@NickBurnsFPV So I Think you have to go digital - but now we have 3 choices??? I have a Flywoo Firefly 80mm quad for example, always has been a fun to fly quad. Also have a GEPRC Cinepro 4K - much better drone than it would appear to be. Prop guards are nice too for indoor flights although mine are all stained with grass stains! I just bought a 2fiddy - I know this is not the kind of quad you normally fly but there seems to be something about it that I really like - and I haven't flown it yet, won't for a while as I save up for a Flight Controller, ESC, and motors and a DJI compatible air unit, perhaps the Runcam Wasp. I do kind of wish I would have waited for HD Zero but they took so long to come out... Cheers!
@@genjitsu7448 For me I would likely lean toward walksnail, they are more super micro compatible. But for indoor and whoops, still love the performance we are getting and hdzero or analog.

@@BendApparatus everybody has their preference, you could say i'm biased but their ducted frames work pretty darn good. these guys make different style frames and i'm cool with that, breaks away from the same ol same ol stuff. they might not be for everybody but if this is good enough for nick to compliment it being the new standard for whoops/cine... it's saying something, i hope oddity will bring us more kick ass designs.
In real life test example, I crashed this XI35pro much harder and it was undamaged. The 35v2 I didn't have any dramatic crashes to directly compare. My opinion is this prop protection on the xi35pro as well as the others just like it are very durable, and again in my opinion will survive far harder crashes than prop protection designs and materials like the cinelog35 v2. Add to that the thick carbon of the xi35pro it could be the most durable of any cinewhoop I have flown....and crashed :)
interesting, do u think it is the tune itself or the frame design thats making it easier to tune, as there are very similar designs like the axisflying cineon@@NickBurnsFPV
@@MrKillerHobbes a really really good pid tune can make a rather significant flight feel difference. With that the weight, prop protection design, prop choice, motor size and kv with the cell voltage of the battery to be run make an even larger difference.
I would like to fly the 2.5inch version just to see if that 6s makes it feel heavy. I haven't been a fan of 6s on ~3inch props, but the xi35 was a pleasant surprise.
@@NickBurnsFPV im the same i have 3 cinelog 25's set ups i film with, one uses the foxeer unbreakable frame with speedybee led kit another with the 03 air unit in. Veru interested in seeing if it will be worth 6s or overkill
I'm coming from the world of a DJI avata so every time I try to descend or do a dive there is horrible prop wash. Wondering if this is the case with this guy here. I want to get a "real" fpv other than the Avata. Been flying Manual mode for about 5 months but it's very limiting. Cant recover from dives well, Split S. Seems very underpowered or too heavy idk. Trying to get a feel for the next level up from an Avata that is still easy-ish to fly in manual/acro mode but I can fly near people that can keep up with a car or bike. Suggestions are appreciated. @@NickBurnsFPV
@@emonsamsami1355 If we are descending with the quad flat that is normally very prop washy, and not a technique we use in typical fpv. Typically we want to nose down to some degree to descend, we can descend small amount in forward flight with just less throttle. With most quads we might experience some prop wash, but with some technique we can minimize or eliminate it. With this quad the prop wash was either non existent or easily eliminated with technique.
I like this more, kinda a lot more. The cinebot30 flies very well, and this one flies even better. Not to mention no out of the box zero throttle wobble.
@@NickBurnsFPV - thank you so much for your reply, greatly appreciated. The only problem right now, is this OddityRC beauty is very, very difficult to find in any of my local stores (Canada). Waiting for it to arrive from China is killing me... it take a month if not even more sometimes, and more expensive shipping that would be here in about a week, is so expensive it's better to save money for other drone parts, lol. Is Cinebot30 zero Throttle wobble any fixable?
@@NickBurnsFPV - I've decided to ditch the Cinebot30 idea and go with OddityRC. I will definitely use your discount code, it's US$45.84 and US$54.24 lower price, respectively. US$45.84 discount for XI25Pro Avatar version) and US$54.24 for the XI35Pro. Now, the only thing is, trying to decide between XI25Pro and XI35Pro. I love the idea of XI35Pro being able to carry full size GoPro, but in the same time, I like the smaller form factor of XI25Pro. Do you think XI25Pro (2.5") would be able to carry my Session 5 or Orange 5? It's also 6s version.
@@Seii-FPV I do suspect it will run with the session on board. It will of course impact the aggressive flight characteristics. But smooth flat flight it will be just fine.
I been dying to find a slow flying kawd but also bando basher wit the punch power and all I saw bot reviewed it yesterday and now today you am sold on this for sure Mandalooooo all the ways !!! This kawd is beryyyy interesting
I used to be a GepRC fan, but couldn't get the jitter out from cinelog35, so I switched the component to OddityRC 35 frame, and LOVED it! So I further switched Geprc Rocket to OddityRC 20 frame. When dji O3 came out, I had to get it with OddityRC 25!
If your cinelog35 flies fine, then I would just keep it as is. I had the very first version of cinelog35 with 2004 motors which felt underpowered with gp10, and also because of the jitters, I had to switch frames. With XI35 frame, I also put 2006 motors because I wanted to carry full gp10. It took me a few days to switch frames and tune the quad with different motors. I guess it's not fair to compare these two quads now. But I am glad I did it. Again, if your cinelog35 flies fine, just leave it as is~
Aloha Nick, realize you don't usually review 3.5" cinewhoops, but having broken the ice could you look at geprc cinelog v2 and/or iFlight protek v2 (both 2105.5 6s). Love the cinelog 35p! Dual tune setup is awesome!
First time I saw that style of prop protection was the Xi25, a looong time before Darwin or any of the other clones did here in China. I have the Oddity J5 ultralight 5” freestyle and love it, and the Xi20 2” cinewhoop which I like a lot. I believe it’s pronounced “She 35”, as in the family name of the premier of China.
yes, I am hearing from others in the cinewhoop the stator height is so important to the cinewhoop flight ability. So we might not need 20xx motors but the xx06 might be more important.
Thank you Nick! Thanks a lot for your love and support, we really appreciate it! Love you!🥰

Gonna build a little 1S ripper.
Looks like it could be a durable frame.
Interested in what your find with your build. Please let me know.
@@NickBurnsFPV will do once it’s received and all built up 👍
Stator height makes a big difference. Wish they made the motor in higher KV for the 4", looks like their whole selection is for 6S.
your right and wonder if they somehow there is a sweet spot with performance as well as stable flight time with 6s over 4s or smaller.
Previously got the 4s for 2.5inch, 3150kv 1507 motor.
A rather semi-well known FPV company in Asia. You do a great job of going over the specs. As always, great review.
I probably should have made that point a bit stronger rather than focus on the newness of oddityrc to the "west".
I’m still at the start…. But I so know that roof-THUMP sound!
Yea it was pretty dramatic 😬
Yes, that could certainly be another way this protection has made its way to other quads. Good valid point.
Interesting. Next oddityRC quad I am reviewing will be the XI20 Pro. Should be update maybe this week.
@@NickBurnsFPV I can't wait to see this review. Thank you for your entertaining and informative videos.
Oh my! :) love your reviews and cat ears on everything ,bunny ears are better for reception
Thank you. Ha, bunnies beats cats?
@@NickBurnsFPV mainly just the droppings.. Lol I love our Bunny and his raisins are great for the garden.. Cats just go in the garden to be nasty! And rabbits never kill birds ,although I did once see a rabbit fly kick a seagull over bread scraps!
That looks like a really great flying quad, nice job by oddityrc.
Would love to see this in a Walksnail version. Not having yaw-twitch on those hard drops would be impressive in a 3.5" whoop
They do have a wS version. My link was originally to just the O3 version, oversight on my part.
@@NickBurnsFPV Oooh interesting!
This is nuts! Tuning is such a big deal also the 2006 motors!
Big motors.. hmm wonder run d90-5 🤔 O3 or walksnail hard choice
It literally looks like you're flying a 5" drone i never thought cinewhoops would be so good! Either your a really good pilot or the drone is really good haha
I think it’s mostly a really good cinewhoop
@@NickBurnsFPV that's impressive for an adapted frame
Cheers.
I really don't think one does it all. Also it would depend if I can only fly analog or digital.
That's a beautiful Japanese Maple
Yes it is. We have one in front as well.
Nick. Great video I appreciate all of the many reviews you do. Any chance of Oddity RC sending you the XI25 Pro? Can you ask them about it?

Are these stock rates ?
Have had their frames pop up on AliX a few times since I'm always looking for...err...odd frames...lol
careful on them ali frames, i spoke to vincent and he confirms there're a ton of fake frames already that dont even work good and breaks easy
@@ProperJimmy True... luckily for me most of their frames are whoops and X frame toothpicks...not really my thing...lol
How did you compare this frame vs cinelog 35 v2 ?
In real life test example, I crashed this XI35pro much harder and it was undamaged. The 35v2 I didn't have any dramatic crashes to directly compare. My opinion is this prop protection on the xi35pro as well as the others just like it are very durable, and again in my opinion will survive far harder crashes than prop protection designs and materials like the cinelog35 v2. Add to that the thick carbon of the xi35pro it could be the most durable of any cinewhoop I have flown....and crashed :)
is this the best flying 3.5 inch whoop? looks like it
yes, without a doubt for me.
interesting, do u think it is the tune itself or the frame design thats making it easier to tune, as there are very similar designs like the axisflying cineon@@NickBurnsFPV
@@MrKillerHobbes a really really good pid tune can make a rather significant flight feel difference. With that the weight, prop protection design, prop choice, motor size and kv with the cell voltage of the battery to be run make an even larger difference.
Im going to put my protek35 hd cddx vista polar micro with the 2203.5 3600kv motors on this frame and run it 4s 😂 its going to be nutty
Just bought the 2.5 frame kit with the o3 adapter plus 1507 6s motors for it 😀 little beast!
How’s the zero throttle descent?
What do you mean? I do punchouts that are zero throttle descent.
Whoa, didn't expect a hard run right out the gate lol, damn this thing has some Chooch! Nice rig! Always a pleasure watching ya Nick! #OHMY HAHA
yea, I was comfortable pushing on this one. More comfortable than I normally am with this category of quad.

@@NickBurnsFPV awesome bought one because of your review and used your code which really helped. Thanks Nick!
Amazing flying as always! How does this stack up to Cinebot30?
@@Seii-FPV yes, OddityRC is a small shop, I suspect its pretty rarely found in our fpv shops.

I also got a cinelog 35 and thinking about getting the frame is ist really worth it? Especially with a GoPro 10?
If your cinelog35 flies fine, then I would just keep it as is. I had the very first version of cinelog35 with 2004 motors which felt underpowered with gp10, and also because of the jitters, I had to switch frames. With XI35 frame, I also put 2006 motors because I wanted to carry full gp10. It took me a few days to switch frames and tune the quad with different motors. I guess it's not fair to compare these two quads now. But I am glad I did it. Again, if your cinelog35 flies fine, just leave it as is~

I did review the cinelog35 v2 ua-cam.com/video/WiXhjuPc2vg/v-deo.html are you asking about the 2.5inch v2 version?
First time I saw that style of prop protection was the Xi25, a looong time before Darwin or any of the other clones did here in China. I have the Oddity J5 ultralight 5” freestyle and love it, and the Xi20 2” cinewhoop which I like a lot. I believe it’s pronounced “She 35”, as in the family name of the premier of China.
